Well, I won't be going there again. I guess I'll go back to making my own because I do know how and rolling up my own eggroll because I know how to do that as well. I see that's just the way it goes these days thankfully I know how to cook, it's a little work and sometimes I like to eat out I work 5 days a week. I thought it would be nice to treat myself to a shrimp eggroll and a small shrimp fried rice that's not even a pint! 12 bucks ridiculous! And as far as taste goes, it was all right. Nothing to write home about. It is hot. They cook it as you order it. But I won't go back craving or not. It's been years since I ordered this.

The place was a lil hot but it was a very hot day outside so understandable. Plenty of seating where you order first and pay first, get a number and choose your table. I ordered the vermicelli noodle dish with egg rolls and a fried pork chop. We also got crab Rangoon and spring rolls. For me, the veggies didn't taste very fresh. I enjoyed the pickled veggies and the egg rolls. I think I was expecting more flavor in the pork and sauce. The spring rolls had bean sprouts in them which is not typical and changed the flavor profile a little bit. I'm a little particular as I just got back from Vietnam. It was way too hot for me to want to try a pho bowl but it's definitely on my list to come back when it's cooler. Love the noodle soup options and appreciate that they have such a full menu that offers Vietnamese, Chinese as well as Thai dishes.

If you work in the downtown Indianapolis area and want some good Chinese food at a really great…read moreprice, this is the place to go! Some co-workers told me about this China King, and I have since fallen in love with it after my first visit. I ordered the Bean Curd, Szechuan-style dish that was LOADED with tofu and vegetables! Oh, goodness, it was heavenly to have so many thick and flavorful chunks of protein. I took a picture, but it was after I started destroying my lunch (excuse my photo). Can we also talk about the crab Rangoon and the fried calamari strips?? Listen the calamari strips was___ I don't even know what to say. Oh, freaking amazing is what comes to mind. Yes! They are FREAKING amazeballs. Grab you some and thank yourself later If they delivered, I would order from this establishment more often. Don't let this gem pass you by.

But the fried rice is just a weird yellow rice with no flavor (definitely not the traditional fried rice), the beef and broccoli had a weird smell, and the sweet and spicy chicken were tiny little pieces that didn't have much meat to them. This was pretty consistent with our last time there.

It's the newest neighborhood place for casual Chinese food. It is a popular takeout spot. New China…read moredoes a busy delivery business with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and probably others. Today, I decided to have an eat-in experience. They have 6 four-top tables along with 1 table that sits 8 guests. There's a TV that usually plays ABC News Live. Tonight is no exception. The cashier stops at the table to check on me and ensure my meal is satisfactory. It's good food at a reasonable price and their restaurant is clean. (I did not visit the restroom.) if you're interested in basic Chinese food--they do have Egg Foo Yung with all the different meats. (EFY is not an option for a Combo meal.) This restaurant is a good option.

The orange chicken was really good - like, I'd order that again without hesitation. They give you plenty! I don't even know how I'm going to eat all the leftovers. I was expecting the small to be... well, small. Anyway. The pepper steak was just okay. It lacked flavor for me. And of course, lots of giant peppers instead of slicing them down...and a crap ton of veggies without much steak. But that's typical. The shrimp fried rice... Tasteless. I don't usually like to add more soy sauce to my food (and I didn't), but you're gonna need to drizzle the sauce from one of the other meals onto it or SOMETHING because homegirl was tasteless. Disappointing. The shrimp and broccoli was fine - exactly what you'd expect. Everything was packaged well, so I'd say attentive service for takeout. Not sure what it looks like on the inside/bathrooms/cleanliness, etc. since we did takeout, but I would go back for the orange chicken unless I find a place with better + solid shrimp fried rice. P.S. Remember when they used to automatically put eggs in the fried rice without you having to pay extra? I miss those days.
