We should have known - the place from the bathroom to our table was not clean. Really surprised. It was a slow monday night in the place; there was no wait; food comeout realitively timely. 1 star for the incompetent service. Whoever was working as a hostess on 12/28 gave me a terrible takeout experience. I placed a large food order and when I arrived I gave my name. The young female employee hands me one bag. I know I placed a large order so I tell her are you sure everything is in this bag and I ask if there is a second bag. The female employee responds saying yup everything is there. After driving to my workplace (it was dinner for a work party), I discovered that half the items are missing. I drive back to the restaurant to get the rest of my order. Sure enough this same employee was there and she knew exactly who I was and quickly grabbed the bag. She never apologized and was actually rude throughout the entire process. Hardly said a word the first time I came and acted like I was inconveniencing her when I was the one who had to return back to the restaurant to receive the second half of my order. Hire and train your staff better Wokcano! I shouldn't have to ask them to double check the order and they shouldn't be half asleep at their job that they don't even bother checking if there's a second bag when I'm telling them that I think there's a second bag. read more

The best part.. no wait. The worst part. The wait. Cheesecake Factory was a 30-40min wait so we walked over to Wokcano. Was seated asap. Ordered Garlic edamame () and drinks.. By the time we pulled the waiter back to us, Cheesecake Factory was texting our table was ready. Please note.. this restaurant is a 5 min walk from Cheesecake. So we literally sat unattended to for quite some time. When the food came, the order was missing an entree. It wasn't even put in! We had a small child with us.. No fork provided. I had to leave my table to find a random waiter who had a fork sent to us and she brought us our first refills. One of the drinks had about an inch and a half of watered down cherry lemonade. They didn't empty that water out, oh no.. they added mix atop that presenting an even more watered down drink. That's all we had. 1 refill a piece. No one came to ask how the food was, how we were doing.. nothing. Then I think waiters were switched on us so we sat about 15 minutes after we were finished waiting for the check and boxes. The staff was great. Cool looking place too. It's wonderful they're open late. One thing that is a deal breaker is their sushi. Gas stations serve fresher fish that at least has texture. Wokcano is a great place to get your favorite popular Asian dishes at! I had gotten the Crispy Pepper Calamari--which was a bit salty for me, but still good, Singapore Style Noodles--which was really good as it had shrimp, chicken and veggies add to it, and Spicy Garlic Chicken, which was an excellent portion size and tasted really good for those who like mild spicy. Rice came separately. I had eaten at Wokcano in the past, but today, I want to send a big shoutout to our waitress, Sequoia, who made an amazing experience with her kindness, attentiveness, and smile. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated but waited nearly 20 minutes before our server greeted us. The table was sticky, and we had to clean it ourselves, which was off-putting. Additionally, the restaurant has a very dark atmosphere with dim lighting and is quite loud, which didn't contribute positively to our dining experience. We went for dinner and were seated at a table at 6 pm. It took almost 15 minutes before the waitress finally brought our drinks, and all we ordered was water. By this time, I noticed that people around us who sat after us were already eating, but we hadn't even ordered yet. Finally, when we did order, only my food came out promptly. I finished my sushi rolls, but my wife's soup still hadn't arrived. After asking twice, we finally got it. It was frustrating to see others receiving great service while we experienced delays for simple things. Despite these shortcomings, the dishes that did arrive were prepared well and tasty. They made an effort to accommodate our dietary restrictions, and the food was served promptly. However, the service inconsistencies, forgotten soup, and basic oversights detracted from what could have been a pleasant dining experience. While the food was enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by these issues. Considering this, I would rate this restaurant a solid 3 stars. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning anytime soon. There are too many other places to dine in town with better service and ambiance. read more

Would never eat here. Over priced, less than average quality and too loud or too empty. Drinks are not the best and the workers are so slow. Food is long to bring out and the silverware is not clean. Excellent portions, it's truly appreciating that they're understanding & patient with any inquiry with the food/ entrees. I wish they had more quality of regular beverage options with to match their pricing. Also I wish that they paid better attention to their restrooms. Ive been here for the 1st time this year up to 3 times on a weekend evening, every single time, the women's restrooms are unkept and can be real trashy on the floor. Quality and preparation of food was poor. Service was ok...nothing to complain. Ambiance is all that's going for them. Drinks were not that great but that's just depends on the bartender. Started with EDAMAME. It was soaking wet meaning it was not properly strained. Next was Hirame carpaccio. No doubt it was thawed in the last hour. smelt bit fishy too. Steamed dumpling was a joke...it was as if from a package from Costco. It just broke off as soon as I picked it up with my chop stix. The sauce that came with it was not as good as the Costco package. Chicken fried price had pieces of peas and carrots that was not properly cooked so it was pretty crunch biting into them. It was complimented with bland rice and pieces of big chicken strips that I had to cut each. The bar was pretty empty until about 8pm on the Sat. night. Bartenders were not very attentive so the tip went down. Drinks were nothing special. Lastly, just take a look at the staffing of the sushi bar on your way to the bathroom. It tells you a lot about that "Asian Fusion" restaurant. Foods are more expensive as the quality keeps going down in our society. This is a great example. It's mostly Asian, sushi, various Chinese and Thai noodles and something called monkey brains which is a hollowed avocado filled with crab meat and deep fried. It was my first time here. We got the table right away. They have heaters outside so it nice to sit outside even on a chilly evening. Sushi was very good. Wokcano in Valencia is simply excellent. We enjoyed a feast. We ordered several items but stand outs were the Korean style short ribs, Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, Singapore Style Noodles, Pad Thai. Everything was delicious. Their beef is tender. The marinades are flavorful. The service is also excellent. Their blend of flavors in their dishes are top notch. Dishes are full, along with the a robust appetizer selection. We also enjoyed their lunch style menu. Their lunch selections are scaled back from the full entree menu, however, there is still plenty of food since their dinner entrees are shareable size. Service is great... sushi is small, prices are kind of high. Hot food got no complaints and everyone seemed to like it. They are set up to handle large parties, so bring your crew! Party of four for dinner looking forward to a great meal. The garlic noodles were good. Crab won tons were really just cream cheese inside. Any crab was not evident. The edamame wasn't really cooked enough to enjoy and worst of all the Orange Crispy Chicken was mostly overly fried chicken that was stringy and dry, and not the least bit crispy. Huge, great menu... but before you go digging into it, you have to order the spicy tuna on crispy rice. That could be your whole meal and you'd be a happy camper -- however, their other dishes are great. My husband ordered the low mein and the portion was ginormous! I ordered a tuna roll and didn't love it but I think it's because I'm not a huge seaweed person. My husband liked it so it was nothing on them. Atmosphere is clean, fun, and they have friendly staff. The waitress went to the kitchen then came back and she said it doesn't come with cilantro and the restaurant doesn't have any. She also pulled out the menu to make sure I was wrong.., thanks for that lady. My pad Thai was very mushy, very little chicken or shrimp in it. We also waited an extended amount of time for a refill. Okay okay ... so here the thing , I generally come here all the time . The service on regular hours is stellar ! But got off work late and needed my sushi fix , but late night . Around 1230 AM came here and what in the world ??!! I get it's a late night place filled with youngsters but there has to be the occasional old lady like me just wanting sushi . The bus boy stepped on my shoe while cleaning off the table he didn't even say sorry or excuse me . Then the waitress came by after 30 minutes or so and finally took my order . She had to come back twice since she "wasn't ready" , but she was nice just seemed overwhelmed . I will not be coming here again - apparently the service is terrible when it's late night. Only able to deter to the bar people and not necessarily food service ...
