The food was cold. And the shrimp and crayfish were brought out and my daughter went to get some and started eating and it was cold and under cooked. Went to get fruit and the orange cake had maybe 10 to 20 fruit flies on it. And the lemons were a brown/black color and the sushi look grayish. It's located in a little strip mall, so there was plenty of open parking. A lot of great options but a few things were out like the chicken wings. Recently after finishing a remodel two things have increased greatly. Those things are variety and price. Good solid quality sushi now with ingredients like fish eggs, avocado, arti crab, real eel sauce, seaweed salad. Also lots of desert allong with all the regular items were all used to locally. Just saying, all you can eat sushi in rochester is $30 and even at $15 dinner rate/ highest since lunch is lower its plainly reasonable. Carryout is on pricey side for weight but i see why they do it since you could theoreticaly take just high end foods like shrimp for example. read more

The first time I was here was a couple of years ago and I thought it was horrible. So, when my son said he wanted to eat here for his birthday, I was dreading it. This was quite different in our experience from the past. There were many more dishes to choose from, it was fresh and quite tasty. The staff changed out the dishes quickly so there were no dried out leftovers sitting in the chafing dishes. In my experience before to Chinese buffets, the owners are always on staff. That can be good and bad. A lot tend to hover over you watching to see if you waste food, or whatever else they may be thinking. Not here, the staff/owners were very friendly, quick to take away your empty plates, and thanked us for our patronage. I took away a star, in all honesty, it amounts to half a star, because of the beverage service. I love hot tea with my meal, and all they had for their self service beverage was soda. No such luck here, however..if you are looking for chicken...this place has lots of chicken dishes. General tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, jalapeño chicken, peanut chicken, fried chicken, garlic chicken, chicken chicken, silly chicken, too much chicken and I've had enough chicken. There were a few other dishes that contained some kind of seafood, but since I'm from the West coast, I have a hard time eating fish in the Midwest. Yes, call me a fresh fish snob, but once you taste fresh fish....you never go back to anything else. One beef and broccoli dish. Noodles and rice were also available. A dessert buffet was provided along with different flavors of icecream. Not a big dessert fan unless it has chocolate incorporated in it. The food was... OK. The service was... OK. The general feel of this place was... OK. I can't give this place more than an OK rating because that's how I felt the entire time I was here. The food is very middle of the road, the decor made me feel like I was sitting in a Chinese Themed mid-90's diner, and the service was very spotty. They cleared the plates just fine but having to ask every time for a re-fill, and I never did get those chopsticks I asked for. My favorite parts of the meal were the two different kinds of chicken that were literally the exact same. The General Tso and Sesame chicken are different only if you put your own sesame seeds on top of either. The wontons were alright, but don't bother with the egg rolls. Oh and as a piece of advice... if you find a hair in your food that is most obviously not yours? (My hair is red, the hair in question was BLACK). Awesome buffet, not traditional by any sense of the word. Majority of their dishes are chicken (I especially like the jalapeno chicken and general tso's chicken). They even mix it up with some other totally left field dishes as well. Like the mozzarella sticks (which surprisingly I like when its not sitting out for hours), macaroni and cheese, they even have garlic bread there!! To be honest, the staff is friendly and takes your plates right when you finish. But the food will never "wow" you, but there is always this little place in you that says "man I gotta have some wok n roll". Trust me, plenty of people who eat there often will tell you the same thing. Did I tell you about the ice cream? They have a ice cream bar and some weird desserts that just do not look appetizing at all, but I think one day I will have to courage to actually try them. So, if you are not a fan of traditional Chinese but love food like Panda Express, then this is your place to eat. A pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere. Had dinner there on a Friday night and enjoyed my meal. This buffet could hold its place against buffets in Minneapolis. The food was fresh, warm, and well seasoned. Among the notable dishes were the black pepper shrimp and the dumplings. The hot and sour soup was a little watery but had good taste. Disappointed that there no wok seared fried rice. The service was attentive, and dirty plates were promptly cleared. A nice ice cream selection was offered. I know that this is a Chinese buffet and that they are not really supposed to have sushi, but most of the buffets that I go to have a very small selection, and they most always have cold shrimp available. This place had neither. What a bummer. The jalapeno chicken was delicious and had a good kick to it. I'd also recommend the black pepper shrimp as it was the best thing on the menu. Hands down. They also offer banana pudding, cheesecake, coffee cake and a nice selection of fruit. The service was pretty great and I liked how they are located directly next door to a Walmart which makes it easy for us to park our semi and walk across. You can also park on the street and walk a short distance inside. I understand it's still covid. Only 2 of the 3 buffet lines were open. We brought our granddaughter thinking she would eat the American style food as she's 7 and picky unfortunately but only french fries were available. The breaded chicken dishes, the rice, and the crab dish were particularly dry this time. The breaded pepper shrimp had the best flavor but was still dry. The yellow egg soup was clear and tasted like hot water and there were no mugs as I could see so I used a little plastic cup for sauce just to try it even tho it didn't look like normal. We are from Michigan and was staying nearby on our way through. Salmon was really good. There was many varieties of chicken. There was no salad bar. Over all not bad. I have had better. The teriyaki chicken was nothing to write home about so I was disappointed about that and the sugar biscuits were horrible. But the rest was worth coming in. My husband and I work in the Food & Beverage industry, so the most important thing for us is cleanliness. If the dining room and restrooms are clean, that means the kitchen is clean. And this place is squeaky clean. The food is good, not spectacular, but good and it was fresh and new pans were replacing empties quickly. On another comment site, there was a comment complaining that they don't fill the pans. Good. There is a reason for that. It ensures that the food is always fresh, because what's in the pan will be eaten quickly and more will be made, little will be wasted and nothing gets cold. You always want the pans to be replaced quickly, not sitting forever. The buffet area was always being wiped down and cleaned. These people care about the food they are serving. My only complaint is this - as a mother of 3 small children, there is no changing table in the bathroom. Our infant son needed his diaper changed and there was no place to change him. We had to go to a gas station down the road. We stopped here as a midway point between visiting family in North/Central Minnesota and our home in Iowa. And we will definitely come here again on our travels. read more

In town a few weeks for work nearby. 5* from me here simply due to rating this place for what this place IS......a good quick stop Chinese buffet/take out joint. It is QUICK food, fresh, hot for the most part, & fairly clean. They use shallow pans for a lot of the dishes in the buffet to keep food on a fresher rotation & fairly hot. Good & plenty of choices for such a seemingly small 'looking' buffet area! Items like egg rolls are really good but if you're getting the last few on the pan they been in there a while so won't be so fresh/hot, some items just aren't consumed/refreshed as quick as others. All the staples seem to be in place.....love the potstickers, pork egg rolls, peppered shrimp, muscles, crunchy green beans, mushrooms, broccoli, bourbon chicken, etc. Like the good self serve ice cream included in the buffet in the summer too! Price to product is good value IMO. You can be eating within minutes of walking in, which is really nice if you've been working 10+ hrs that day. This food is EXCELLENT. Twice the price would still be worth it. We've often gone near closing and some of the items were low. They asked what we wanted more of and they custom cooked it for us. SHRIMP, BEEF, CHICKEN, ETC. AND THE ICE CREAM IS REAL ICE CREAM, dig it out of the big container. And it's great too. Dang, my mouth is watering. So...yeah, take it in.
