This had a classic diner feel to it with the booths and a counter at the entrance. The menu had lots of choices with reasonable pricing. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. I had the ham and turkey chef salad. It was served in a tortilla shell with lettuce, tomato, peppers, pineapple, cheddar cheese, and taco chips with a sweet and sour dressing. It also came with garlic bread that was pleasant but not needed. This type of salad being in a tortilla shell was a little odd, but not bad. It was a little stale as well, but nothing concerning. The overall salad was well put together and everything else seemed fresh with plenty of the toppings. The pineapple was also an interesting choice, but I did not mind it. Will I go back? Cute little diner that's probably been there for decades. Loved the decor and while the place wasn't exactly spacious, it was laid out well and didn't feel super cramped. We were greeted and seated promptly, and the waitress took good care of us. Service overall was pretty quick and attentive. My friend liked her Denver omelette, and we both liked the hashbrowns though they definitely were not your standard hashbrowns. Almost more like a smashed potato. Could have been crispier but they were cooked through and had a good taste. I truly enjoyed my eggs Benedicts which were made with spam instead of Canadians bacon. If context were a part of the rating then this would be four stars as sits surrounded by a bevy of fast food choices. The service was very sweet, the parking was wide open (even though there s number of other tables besides ours), and the decor was entertaining. Actually, my daughter and I would occasionally point out unique and interesting items throughout our meal. She said her steak and potato dinner was delightful and my patty melt did not disappoint. The star for me were the onion rings. They had great flavor and light breading. If they had a sauce besides ketchup they might have been a five, especially if you include value. Don't waste your money. We were super disappointed after detouring during our long day driving to stop here based on previous reviews. Service was good, but food was subpar and they didn't even get our order right. I had the special- Chicken Parmesan. It was super thin, luke warm, with spaghetti sauce and grated cheese on top that wasn't melted. They forgot my garlic bread and the taste was eh. My husband had the pork tenderloin - more breading than meat and they forgot the cheese he ordered. Seems like the kitchen staff was more interested in talking than cooking. The milkshakes were good. Decent little greasy spoon lunch stop in Austin. They're very proud of their Hormel convection with memorabilia all over the walls and staff wearing SPAM t-shirts. Their fries were amazing. Reminded me of the beer battered ones I like. The burgers and sandwiches we got we're a bit greasy but we're pressed fast and tasted good. Excellent breakfast spot with friendly service. The perfect spot for our breakfast stop on the first day of our road trip.

There's a reason why we eat here almost every Sunday; it's consistent, it's fast, and it's good. We've always been seated promptly and given friendly service. The only time they've disappointed is on Sundays after church services when the line extends outside and we're forced to head over to Perkins (cue sorrowful music). We are creatures of habit and order the same thing every time. I get the Denver omelette with cooked onions (for some reason they tend to throw them in raw) with toast, the Mr gets the favorites special with hash browns. The coffee is always refilled promptly, the food comes out hot, and it's the type of crave-able morning food that keeps you coming back again and again. We lucked into finding this place while we were in Austin for a hockey tournament. I opted for the eggs & fish, a combination I've never seen on a menu. Crispy haddock with 2 eggs, country hashbrowns and toast. So tasty! Others had the shrimp with potato salad and coleslaw. Highly recommended. Burger was good and kids meals must have been good because they disappeared quickly. The place was packed with people so we had to wait a bit. I sat down at 10:15, ordered coffee and said I might be having another person join me. I finally had to flag down another waitress at 10:45 to order since no one checked on me for 30 minutes (or refilled my coffee). I started to get the feeling that I was getting the "outsider" treatment. Ordered the Eggs Benedict which was OK. A slightly stale English muffin was topped with a slice of ham, perfectly cooked eggs and a pretty good homemade (?) Hollandaise sauce. Not bad, but nothing special. My biggest complaint was the bacon - they were nice thick slabs but they were incredibly salty. Now I love bacon and I enjoy some salt but this was overboard. The two things that saved the day, though, were the coffee and the strawberry rhubarb pie. Both were outstanding and I would stop back in just have coffee and pie. read more

I travel nationally for work and make a point of eating at all the Good diners like Beth's Cafe in Seattle home of the 12 egg omelet and all you can eat hash browns. Kenny's never lets you down with the best staff and food in S MN well worth pulling off the highway for. Every year you get a birthday card from Kenny's worth $7.50 towards your next meal. This review is specific to this restaurant being on a published list that they have SPAM on their menu in the town that is home to SPAM. We stopped on Sunday, August 15, 2021 shortly after noon. They were quite busy, but we only had to wait about 15 min. We stopped there because we had just been to the SPAM Museum and a staff member recommended them off a published list of local places that had SPAM on their menu. Since they were on the published list and recommended, I thought there would be many SPAM options to coincide with the many ways the museum shows that SPAM can be served. There were maybe 7 on this restaurant's menu? We chose the breaded and fried SPAM bites and a sandwich called the SPAM de Melt (or something very similar to that name). SPAM is always good, but I wish the "bites" had actually been cubes of SPAM and not 1/2" thick strips. The sandwich was underwhelming because it was served on ordinary slices of wheat bread. If you're looking for a SPAM meal to compliment your visit to the SPAM Museum, I'm sorry to say this isn't the place. read more

They charged $3.29 ADDITIONAL for one small slice of white bread?! The original meal was $5.79 for one small egg, one French toast, 2 slices of bacon and a drink which he never got. HOW DOES THAT EVEN COMPUTE? My kid paid $9.38 plus tax for less food than I had. Husband's food slathered in gravy. Just white bread with roast beef. It was ok. I may have just caught them on a bad night because the food and service have been exceptional in my recent visits. They have a great breakfast menu and some good burgers, including this wonderfully messy concoction known as the "Booyah Burger," topped with bacon, an egg, and something called "warm sauce."
