Curry Singapore noodles with chicken. Cooked well and mild curry flavor.
Kitty K.

Haven't been to this location in some time. I ordered the Curry Singapore noodles (with chicken) and Black bean Szechuan plate (fried tofu & chicken). They were both fantastic! But I would strongly suggest the Szechuan plate for your next visit. It's everything you want from Chinese takeout. Spicy, flavorful and crunchy veggies. Delicious!!! Happy eating.

Lemon chicken
Jean'nette E.

We ordered lemon chicken to go and this is what they gave us.. 3 egg drop soups with no lemon chicken.. I spoke with the manager and told her I would like to go pick up another order tomorrow bc they didn't fulfill my order correctly and I was home already .. for their mistake she said "o we can't give you order because you don't have lemon sauce" well I ordered lemon check not plain fried chicken .. I told her ok I will go post a bad reviews she told me go ahead that she didn't care .. she doesn't care about the business .. so I do not recommend this wok inn .. they need to care more for the customers and the mistakes they're employees make than to worry about loosing a plate.. to correct their error.. *Fu** you ... karma will hit you when you lose business with your low ratings . This is what we got .. and NO utensils, no soy sauce absolutely NOTHING ..

Hot and Sour Soup

This location is hit or miss. Last time we came, was pretty good, this time, nah. Soup had no flavor, not spicy at all. Chicken was super dry, lemon sauce did not taste right, Rangoon were extra crispy/burnt. I'd be embarrassed to put those on a plate. On a positive note, they did come by and ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, though the guy got our cups mixed up and I'm pretty sure he put some sweet tea on my unsweet tea. Might be a while before we go back.

Stir fry shrimp Deluxe combo: lemon chicken and orange chicken
Alyssa C.

Had a late lunch and the food was great. Also, great price. I had the stir fry shrimp but ended up also eating the orange chicken from my husbands plate. The orange chicken was nice and crispy. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The soup bar was also delish. Wok Inn is definitely a favorite.

The family special $20
Abran S.

This place, I just can't get enough of. I know some reviews are not the most fond of this establishment but I love it. I grew up on "regular American Chinese food" and this place reminds me of it. The food is always fresh, literally always hot made to order the food has never been cold. Also, they are super giving on the food portions and I have never left the place feeling hungry. Now, they had specials that was only $20 for a mass portion of food to feed a family, but once people started catching on I think they stopped doing so. Lastly, the staff is great, they are always helpful and willing to assist in whatever way they can. Sometimes jt may get really busy other times it's slow, but over all busy or not the food will always be fresh.

Hours don't show that they close dining room an hour earlier
Jessica V.

Arrived at 7:54pm, sign on door shows business closes at 9pm. Went in, got to counter, prepared to order, and were told "just so you know we will be closing our dining room soon." I asked at what time. She responded "8pm" I said it didn't say that anywhere. She said well it's what we've been doing. We close the dining room at 8 & drive thru at 9. Another person, possibly manager said, we can take your order to go. We declined as we had come inside to eat inside...disappointing service for sure, especially since there was two other tables still eating inside and I highly doubt they were going to be done in the next 4 minutes. One would think that with the impact that service industries had during Covid, restaurants would be wanting to make sure they gain business back, perhaps not.

Shrimp Stir Fry
Philip T.

Came in for one of their lunch specials and had the Shrimp Stir Fry. The entire plate was delicious but I probably would've preferred if the bamboo shoots were cut down to smaller pieces. Other than that, it's probably worth trying once. I definitely want to come back and try something else. They also have complimentary sides such as white rice and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup didn't have a lot of egg in it but I can't knock that since it's complimentary.

Absolutely no seasoning used on the fried rice. It taste like straight rice. Sticky floors. Staff is great. Lovely customer service.

I've been looking for a solid Chinese and dim sum place and just so happened to stumble on Golden…read moreWok after a kiddos baseball game Sunday afternoon. It was the in between time of late lunch 2:30-3pm so we thought we would miss the Sunday afternoon church rush. The parking lot and restaurant was full but didn't let it scare us. Only had to wait 5 mins. Don't let the full restaurant fool you. The wait staff checks in often and moves tables very fast. Pro tip- you can hang outside and check out the koi fish in the pond to kill some time Sat down and drinks came out fast ordered dim sum which came out in the cute steam baskets first. Shrimp Shumai and pork bao buns were so good. My kids asked for seconds We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant/tofu, shrimp& broccoli and the combination fried rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned with the exception of the sweet and sour chicken. It was very bland. Next time I want to order the orange peel chicken instead. Looked good and now we know! So much food we'll have leftovers for a few days. Score!

My daughter and I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was better 15 years ago…read more It is too westernize now; meaning the food is more cater/made for western taste. When you walk in up to the restaurant, the view of ponds with large koi fish was very welcoming, however as soon as you open the door/walk in...it's a chaos of sports on tv and western music that will burst your burst your tranquility from the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was busy since it was lunch. We were seated right away. However it took the waitress a few before knowledge our small table. The waitress was in a hurry and look like she already had a bad day. She asked quickly what we would like the drink and we said water and hot tea but ask what type of tea they have? She mumble something I could not understand. So my daughter ask for green tea. We started off with appetizer as usual. Shrimp toast, chicken wrap, Asian bbq ribs then a cup of hot & sour soup. Main dish were Moo Shu Pork and Mongolian beef. Soup came out first...it was lukewarm. Cup was hot but soup was lukewarm. It was vinegary and salty. This is the first time I had seen/tasted imitation crab meat in a hot and sour soup. I'd flag the waitress down to let her know the soup was cold and if she can bring me another or warm it up for me. She gave me an annoying look and took the soup back to the kitchen. The Asian bbq ribs come out then the shrimp toast a few minutes later. The shrimp toast looks appealing. The shrimp were whole shrimp on top of bread, fried bread. It was ok...no real taste and a bit greasy. There were too much honey and chewy/tough for the Asian ribs. My soup comes back hot to touch... which means it was microwave...but not an issues; what was is ...it was still lukewarm soup. I try to finish it but couldn't. Soup needs to be hot; especially hot & sour soup. The chicken lettuce wrap was delivered. It was again salty; no real taste, except for the salt. A lot of mushrooms over powering the this dish. Keep in mind we had a small table and dishes are pilling up. It took a few before anyone came to pickup the plates. Half way through our appetizer, the waitress dropped off Togo boxes with a bag right after the chicken wrap was dropped off.... Staying it's for later. So we went ahead and packup the appetizers into the Togo boxes to make room. The main dishes came out about 10 minutes later. My daughter was very surprised by her Mongolian beef. It looks more like pepper steak then Mongolian beef. Most Mongolian beef are cook with green onions, yellow onion, garlic, sesame seeds and large slices of beef...some with a little sauce other dry so this is a the first for us to see a Mongolian beef looks like that. It was again too salty. There was more bell pepper than beef. The beef was slice small. The moo shu pork come out already wrap?? Which confuse me. Most of the time the thin rice pancake is on the side and moo shu pork is a little sweet and savory that comes with plum sauce so you can spread as little or lot of plum sauce into the rice pancake then top it off with moo shu pork. Since it was all roll up...it was very messy trying to pull it open to put the plum sauce. The dish lack favors...it had a char like taste. Usually moo shu pork is very flavorful and fill with flavorful juice from the ingredients like cabbages, bamboo, onion, mushrooms and eggs. There was no favor except a char taste. I have eaten here before a long time ago and it's definitely not the same taste/food and experience. We pack the food home so we can get a second opinion from other family members and the results were the same. I would never recommend for anyone looking for Asian cuisine. But if you like America/Asian cuisine/atmosphere then this is a place for you.

I will give this place credit, for being a AYCE dim sum spot (if you make a reservation and pay in…read moreadvance for the spot), and somewhere that we can full fill our cravings what may not be the very best but it's good enough! Now let me tell you, I did implant myself from So Cal (sorry!) so I definitely know good dim sum aka Westminster's Seafood Cove #2 being one of the top tier spots. But this was decent to satisfy!! We came here to celebrate my brother in law's birthday. It's a decent sized place! You basically tell them your orders and they will bring it over to you. We ordered the usual things via dim sum; shu mais, pork buns, shrimp rice rolls, short ribs, stir fried noodles for my kids and some veggies option. They even had a dessert cart included which was pretty nice to have! The total vibe on this place is essentially your typical Chinese food joint haha. Workers were really nice and accommodating with our loud kids, mainly my baby parking was ample and shared with other businesses, we would come back again.

Please note most negative (lower star ratings) reviews here were old, a year ago or more...so…read moreplease it's worth revisiting them again especially during thier AYCE Dimsum on weekends from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Yes, it is really a YES, until that late!!!! Longer hours to enjoy their hot and some are warm delicious Dimsum selections. We just found out about this on Instagram posted by Masked Foodie of San Antonio (@salunchador) and we're glad we visited yesterday. I've been here before like years ago and though the food was decently okay back then, the place was honestly a mess, unorganized and looks slovenly chaotic. I understand that was a busy lunch hour when I visited but it was just a mess. But extremely glad yesterday that (forgot to take a photo) even their sanitary rating is now on the upper A/90s. Service is also extremely impressive, Celia the manager really made sure all guests including us are taken cared of the best they can. There's also this young Asian lady who even brought us a cup of rice and lemon slices though we just realized we could get it ourselves. All service staff especially those with the Dimsum carts including the young lady with a cart full of loose tea leaves selections are extremely warm and cordial. Kudos to Celia who told us that they just started this AYCE Dimsum on weekends about a month ago. Just hope more elite yelpers would come and visit and see how Celia turned this Wok Inn around, though there's still a lot that can be improved as per ambiance of the place but food and service are totally on point, and cleanliness is guaranteed now since the high sanitary rating they got now. Dimsum here is comparable to Golden Wok and besides one person could pay even more there since you end up eating a lot plus the drinks. Here, all drinks even hot tea is included on the price. They also have roasted duck, delicious too!!! We'll definitely be going back, our niece and friends are coming in for a visit from out of town next month and they would surely enjoy it here.
