When we ordered food from here the first time, food was marked ready for pickup. But when I arrived, they had me wait 5 more minutes because food wasn't ready yet. I ordered corn chowder soup and egg drop soup as additions and they were exactly the same. Second time I ordered today and will most likely be the last because they kept pushing pickup time to a minute. Two entree items took 40 minutes to wait on. Lady was working by herself cooking and doing everything. Why have such a big menu if you can't serve properly? Not even an apology for the experience. Don't recommend due to customer service. Ah....I've been a few times with uneven performance but this week I went several times at different times of day. Much improved...the walnut shrimp was flavorful, had plenty of veggies and a nice amount of sauce. I love that soup is included. I opted for fried rice this time but sometimes get steamed rice. My favorite soup is the chicken corn but the egg drop is good as well. Don't forget the crispy noodles for the soup. The special for Monday also includes a drink and was sesame chicken...not quite as generous as the normal dinner portion. Sometimes the wait is long in the drive thru but I think that depends on the dish ordered or the cook. I'm very pleased with this location. Me and my wife had wanted to do a diner at this wok inn on a Tuesday night and when we ordered through drive thru we decided to eat at the restaurant inside instead, and when we walked in and asked to make it to eat there and she told us that they were closed, mind you they close at 9 and we were inside at 8:21 and I asked again confused she said they were doing a "special cleaning" and they were closing and I instantly was super annoyed because be and my wife DO NOT live close we live in Atascosa and specifically went to this location from a good LAST experience, but regrettably we will never go here again, and it's real unfortunate because we really liked this place and never had a problem with the food or service. read more

Everyone be careful at this location, make sure you ask for a receipt because the lady at the register is stealing money. Charging for food items we didn't order. Haven't been to this location in some time. I ordered the Curry Singapore noodles (with chicken) and Black bean Szechuan plate (fried tofu & chicken). They were both fantastic! The staff and service were great! The dining area is inviting, but I ordered to-go due to our schedule. Adequate vegetarian options and I loved the bamboo in my Hong Kong noodle soup. This location is hit or miss. Last time we came, was pretty good, this time, nah. Soup had no flavor, not spicy at all. Rude old Chinese lady. I loved coming to the place and the rest of the staff is amazing. But she is absolutely rude. The order was wrong and I had asked if they can remake it because she had said what did you want me to do about it? And she said just come back and give me my food back. She said she couldn't hear me and since that was the case that j should have just came inside in the first place and I told her if she couldn't understand me that she could have asked to repeat the order and she said you should have looked at your receipt before you even left ! This place, I just can't get enough of. I know some reviews are not the most fond of this establishment but I love it. I grew up on "regular American Chinese food" and this place reminds me of it. The food is always fresh, literally always hot made to order the food has never been cold. Also, they are super giving on the food portions and I have never left the place feeling hungry. Now, they had specials that was only $20 for a mass portion of food to feed a family, but once people started catching on I think they stopped doing so. Lastly, the staff is great, they are always helpful and willing to assist in whatever way they can. We were looking for a quick ToGo option for Chinese food & was pleasantly surprised with our food Our food order was packaged very well, including all the sauces we would need and was still hot when we got home. My husband ordered the Cantonese broccoli, he said the beef was very tender and had great flavor. I ordered Pad Thai, which was very tasty and the perfect amount of spice. We ordered a side of spring rolls as well. The portions were very nice, even had a little leftover for lunch tomorrow. The flavor was spot on! We will order again. Everything about Wok Inn is a very consistent three stars. The service was pretty friendly so I guess that would be four to five stars. I believe the best part of the meal was the crab Rangoon. It was fried well and had a flavorful interior. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice. The sauce was off. My partner described it as them trying to make orange chicken and they didn't have the right ingredients. I couldn't pin point why it tasted strange. His Kung Pao shrimp was on point though there were practically a bag of peanuts on the dish. Lastly, we tried the soup bar and both got egg drop soup. It was good but needed a bit more seasoning or pepper. I'm glad I got to try this place and would like to try another dish before determining if I'll frequent the joint. read more

I recently got my lunch to go that took 45 minutes of my life. Seemed like a good deal for $7, you get a soup, Rangoon and entrée. The portion was very small. The Rangoon was very decent (probably the best part of the meal). The hot and sour soup was watered down - NOT VEGETARIAN- it had pork something and hardly any of the good good you want in hot and sour soup.
