When I first called to inquire if they carry my size, the person who answered the phone was incredibly nice and very helpful. Upon my arrival to the store, I was greeted by a very friendly person. She explained to me the fitting policy and the fee if I chose not to buy while I was there. This store along with the management clearly are toxic. I have noticed the decline in customer service over the years but my last visit was the worse. I was suprised that they charge customers $75 to look around and label that a "consultation" where they want to charge a fee. All of this was discussed the minute I opened the door. I will only buy my bras here! WOB's knowledgeable staff provide a valuable service to me because of their extensive experience fitting bras and undergarments for decades. This isn't my first visit, and it won't be my last! As my body changes over time, I rely on the fitting advice for my comfort and I'm so impressed at the selection since I am plus sized. Their selection is incredible and so many sizes and styles are represented. The prices are very fair and the value of receiving a full service experience is INVALUABLE because bras from different manufacturers fit so differently. Each piece I purchase has been fitted to me and the wide selection allows the staff to find the right fit, not simply "size me". Impeccable service. If you're looking for a great fit and don't have a lot of time to try on multitudes of bras, this is the place to go. Yes you may pay more but sometimes it's worth it. I went after breast reconstruction. The saleswoman eyeballed me ( no measuring necessary) and came back with several bras for me to try. Eventually, they told me to use their website which I have been doing. I went into the store last week when in town and found the same friendly owners ready to help me. I went to this store to find a bra for my wedding dress. They are nasty and don't care about their customers. If they don't have your size they will give you what they have and say it fits. I brought my mom here to find undergarments for a dress to wear as Mother of the bride. The staff was very rude and condescending to us within the first 5 minutes of just looking. I was sold a one-piece Spanx for $150 dollars. I immediately went to my seamstress, and she said it did not fit properly. 30 minutes after making the purchase, I immediately went back to the store. Beware of outrageous markups on price of bras. I purchased 3 Wacoal Bras and when I compared online, each bra was marked up an additional $24. I was charged $72 more than had I purchased them online at Wacoal's site. It wasn't like I was fitted - I told them my size and what bra I was wearing. I had a terrible experience at WOB lingerie. I made a special trip there to be fitted for a bra as I wear a small size and they advertise a large selection. It costs $75 dollars for a "consultation" which they wave if you buy something. The salesperson didn't measure. She brought a few bras to try on. Although they didn't fit, she said they were "good enough." In order not to pay the "consultation fee" and leave empty handed, I bought a brand and size that I am familiar with but left unsatisfied. I paid $79 dollars for the bra and it is advertised on the Bloomingdales website for $48. I called the store to complain and the owner said I should go to the Bloomingdales shoe department and get fitted for a bra there. He also mentioned that he was watching me on a camera from the back. This is in response to Lori H. She says that they have styles that aren't in the stores. This is true.The bra they sold me isn't in stores because it's been discontinued. Yet the price was $95.00. I found it listed on various sites for the price of $39.00. Shame on them. Lori H. was not present to see how the bra fit, so how can you respond. Even though you pay a $75.00 consulting fee they never measured me. Just looked at what I was currently wearing. When I asked to be measured the salesgirl said they don't do that. That's news to me. Beware, if they don't have your size they will give you anything even if it doesn't fit, just to make the sale. When I got home I called to say I was unhappy. I spoke to a another saleswoman, not the saleswoman who fitted me. Though I heard in the background making nasty comments. So professional. This other woman said the bra fit. This is impossible for her to know. She was at least 12 feet away at all times and I was in a dressing room. I guess she has X-ray vision. I called other lingerie stores. One in Yonkers and several in New York City. Not one charges a consulting fee and they except returns. They said they want the customer to be happy. Called day before to ask if my size and specific type of bra was in stock. Lori said yes so I went in. There were no bras in my size 32 but the woman brought over 34. One bra was too big, the other was a near fit but not comfortable. I was FORCED to purchase it or pay the 75$ fitting charge even tho none were my size. Actually I should have just stepped out and called local police as my credit card was in my car and Mitchell said he was going to follow me to my vehicle till I paid. I paid with a cc I do not use just to get away. Really a horrible experience and I have a bra that is not comfortable because of that scare tactic. As a senior citizen not the way a local business needs to run. If I had a large selection and walked away with no purchase, could understand the charge but with no bras my size just a horrid way to deal with a client. I have never in my life had a worse shopping experience than when I came into WOB about a year ago and left in tears. First of all, there were about 3 old men hanging out inside the store right by the front door. Not exactly what you want to walk into when shopping for intimate items. The men were obnoxious and quite disgusting. I should have walked out at that point. I explain to the sales woman that I needed a low cut bra for my wedding dress to which she looked me up and down with a stank face and retorted to the old lady (Lori) that they probably didn't have anything that would fit me. I was embarassed and asked to please just try a couple options on that I could possibly have a seamstress alter if necessary. They basically threw a few ugly bras at me and I tried them on with my wedding dress. When I came out to show my friend, the two women could not have been ruder with their reactions. I would have given the Wob Lingerie River Edge store a higher review if it weren't for the one saleswoman that was quite nasty and told me as soon as I walked in that they could not fit me unless I had the dress with me, which of course, I did not have because it was at Bijou Bridal. Then the saleslady went on about how they charge a consultation service because they cannot waste their time on someone that is not going to make a purchase. I went to this store last month to get fitted. They do not measure you at all, you just try on different bras to see which one fits. I could have done that myself at a department store. This is an old-school bra and lingerie store and they don't make em like this anymore. If you are used to self-service bra shopping, and guessing your bra size, this could be a totally new experience for you, so be prepared. The salespeople will spend a lot of time helping you get the right fit, and you may discover you have been wearing a bra that is two or more sizes too small. But they will help you find the perfect bra, with their huge in-stock assortment. What they won't do is let you use their fitting services for free and then try to buy the bras yourself online for less. Fitting is free if you buy from the store, if not they will charge a fee - which is as it should be because this is the type of store you run to when you have a urgent fit problem. If everyone takes advantage of these full-service stores, they won't exist any more. I have been fitted by bra experts at Nordstrom, Neimans, you name it and these ladies are better. And the family that owns it has at least two generations worth of fitting the ladies of Bergen County and beyond. read more

I called to let them know that I would be coming in with my daughter who is very shy...and I needed someone who would be patient and understanding. I explained that she is very sensitive. I honestly very rarely leave poor reviews but I am a bit upset about this situation. I have a large chest and in the past I've gone to WOB and my experience was always a decent or good one. A bit overpriced but very attentive. Unfortunately, my views have changed. Last time I went to get fitted because I'd gained some weight and needed to be fitted again. I don't know a lot about bra fittings but I know what looks and feels bad. A girl helped me and the middle of the bra was way off my body poking into my shirt. I asked if this was normal and was told it was but it looked weird and didn't feel good. I had a gap in the middle of my chest and wires poking through my clothing. I trusted the "expert" and spent $120 on two bras because I really needed bras that fit. Well not a few months later, the wire in the bra snaps. A couple of months after that, the other bra's wire snapped as well. So I'm sitting at work with a broken bra and have no idea what size I actually am. I know they don't accept returns which is fine but they should really stand by their products or get better information about fittings. **update** I really didn't think my review was that rude just stating facts but after receiving that response I can promise I will never go back to that ridiculous excuse of a store. I have had bras for years from other companies that stayed perfect until I needed a new size. They sell terrible products for ridiculous prices. First of all, I am about to write an excellent review and I am suspicious right from the getgo that Yelp is going to deem this as fake and filter it. If that's the case, let me say right now that Yelp needs to filter their filtering system because what I'm about to say is completely true. I went to WOB 2 years ago because I needed new basic bras. Bought 3. Brought all of them to my seamstress to sew the straps how I wanted them and avoid slippage. (I do that with every bra.) The 3 bras are all, naturally, a little stretched out but have some life left and look good on me. I went there on Saturday, 1-12-13, with two tops with me. One is a problem because in pictures, my cream/beige bra was way too apparent. I heard on Fashion Police and I've thought it for a while that you need to see a picture of yourself to really know how you look. We determined that all I needed was a black cami. Now, I have a black cami at home, I think, but the one they brought me is a real nice one and I bought it anyway. The second item is a rouched tank top that is cut straight across and every bra I own peeked through. They brought me many bras for this problem and three of them were perfect. So since I go there every couple of years I figured hey, I need them, they'll be good for other clothes, too, and bought all of them. This place is not cheap compared to Marshall's but it's comparable to Nordstrom. I never would have been able to pick out the style and sizes of any of the 4 items I bought. Ever! So since the stuff lasts several years, I'm paying "top dollar" and getting great undergarments, which as everyone knows, is a huge component to looking good in clothes. So I give WOB 5 stars because I came in, tried on, and left with what I needed. And the track record with the prior purchases is perfect. So what else is there??!! I say GO!!! read more

There are very few stores that have the selection of bras that they do. But what they sorely lack is customer service skills. When you're spending that kind of money on a bra one of mine was $129 you would think that they would be a bit kinder. The woman I work with was rude. They do not encourage you to browse but yet bring you the bras they feel would fit you after giving them your size. I asked to see a bathing suit and another woman asked me was I buying one I said no and she was reluctant to show me any because I wasn't purchasing one that day. What you didn't realize is that very often if you show a cux stomer something that they fall in love with they might just buy it. I came in to WOB 8 months pregnant and completely miserable. I had already spent hundreds of dollars on bras during my pregnancy and seemed to grow out of them the next day. The saleswoman was awesome, picked out exactly what I needed. She even honestly advised me to only purchased what I really needed as they would be stretched out and useless post pregnancy.
