We came in for a late dinner on a Friday night having just landed in Savannah. The place was super busy and lively, there was live music in the back, and we were able to find a spot at the bar. The food overall was pretty solid for a sportsbar. Considering that there aren't many places open for dinner in the area this late, this place did the job for us. read more

The place was packed but we were able to find a seat quickly, they had a live band that played some good tunes. Our Waiter was really cool and attentive and he kept it real about what's good and not good on the menu.. 10/7/21 - party of 3 - 7:10pm In our quest to try different places and the need for an adult beverage, WOB was the the pick. The place was super packed and outrageously loud. We sat for about 15 minutes without a server, waving down every one we could see. When we did get a waiter, I inquired about some beers. The waiter told me he wasn't familiar with their selection and I needed to scan the QR code on the table to find the beer list. Huh? I get that they have a big selection but seriously, a waiter at the WORLD of beer isn't familiar with their beers?? They couldn't find the first 8 or so beers I selected so I just went with Heinken. Love that beer but it was disappointing that they couldn't locate the ones I wanted. We started our the brussel sprouts, spinach & artichoke dip. Both were very good - some of the best brussel sprouts I've had. I ordered the black & blue burger, one guest had the brunch burger and the other ordered the fish & chips. The food was quite good. The fish & chips arrived before the appetizers! We said no, it's too early. The manager stopped by to ask what the problem was and I explained we were waiting for appetizers before our meals. He seemed perturbed but took the fish back. When we did get our meals, the fish was freshly fried which I was relieved. I expected them to bring out that old fish plate because of their attitude. To really top off the evening, the waiter brought me a bill that was for the total only. Since he acted a little weird about it, I asked for an itemized bill. Sure enough there were problems. BOTH fish & chips were on the bill, and 3 of the beers I asked for but they couldn't find. Needless to say, this was frustrating to deal with the manager again who had to correct the bill. To charge me an extra $26 and act so fishy about it - that's the one and only trip to WOB for us. I hate dishonesty! read more

Food was good and the beer selection was nice but the service was very slow. Took a long time for someone to come greet us after sitting down and took a long time for food to come out. It's was a traditional bar as well so it was loud and made conversations a bit difficult because it was so loud but overall a very nice place that we wouldn't have a problem going to again. read more

Updating my old review to say this place has definitely gotten better. There was a time were the service here was so terrible that it made me not wanna come back for a while. But the service has been great my past few visits and the wait time was never too long for food or beer. Glad to be able to eat and drink here again with little to no issues. read more

One of our favorite places to go during football season! There are multiple TVs and great selection of beers on tap. The German Pretzel with beer cheese is a MUST. They also have some of the best French fries! I typically get wings or the Cali bowl, but I got the new bbq brisket burger this time. It was good but I would ask for an extra side of bbq sauce if I ever get it again. The sauce was slim on the burger and it needed more flavor. Staff are always very friendly and efficient. WOB was easy to find in a strip mall. There was plenty of parking in a well lit lot. Unfortunately, we must have visited on a bad day in May, 2021. We arrived, and it was VERY loud.. staff advised to seat ourselves. So, we looked around for a table for five, but they were all dirty. The only menus we had available were digital, and the digital menu did not contain any kids items. Also, the digital beer menu was not working. We sat at a dirty table, hoping to get it wiped off once a server came to greet us. We figured out that it was SO loud because it was Trivia night. After waiting for over ten minutes, at a dirty table, with the really LOUD Trivia night 'festivities' going on, WITHOUT A SERVER EVER COMING TO THE TABLE, we decided to look for somewhere else to have dinner. IMHO, they have four stars, and some pretty epic Elite reviews, so I have a feeling this was just a fluke. The food is always amazing here, they always work with you for any customizations/requests. I've never had a problem with food at the Pooler location. That being said, the Savannah location has a smaller menu and the food takes a long time there. At Pooler, food is on point, comes out quick, and music is great too. Very disappointing visit to WoB. We went for the first time a few months ago and had an ok visit but the food made the inattentive service manageable. This visit was abysmal. The server barely checked on us, left our app plates on the table until it was time to leave, never refilled our drinks, didn't bring us condiments when we asked multiple times, and got two of our orders wrong. We had to ask multiple times for our check and our waitress kept clearing other tables instead of bringing us our check. We witnessed her having a rude interaction with another table. I have visited two times, first time the area was way to noisy, no sound silencing what so ever. Food was good the first time, on the second time the chicken on the the taco was way under cooked. Stopped by for dinner before heading back on the road. It wasn't crowded around 6, but it did took a while for our food. It was about 40 minutes for the food to arrive and 5 minutes before the server comes and take our drink orders. It seems to be a slower establishment. Our food was lukewarm but cooked very well. Tuesday night musical bingo was a success! The bartenders were attentive and friendly with ensuring that every patron was taken care of! As always the bbq chicken flatbread was sweet and spicy which made my mouth and belly happy. We tried the pretzel with beer cheese(Amazing) but please don't try that mustard stuff (big miss)! If you love beer and love trying new beers, World of Beer is for you! They have tons of beers on draft, bottled and canned. My daughter and I had a Three Tavern Enchantress which was very good. My husband had a Pilsner Urquell. He loved it. We all three shared a pretzel. The mustard they serve with it is super spicy but yummy. The pretzels are huge and quite tasty. The house salad we ordered was okay. The lettuce tasted a little like that bagged lettuce that has some preservative on it. The menu has a few vegetarian options. I guess no one wanted to take our order because they were waiting for our waiter to come into work. Lol they wouldn't even give us eye contact which I found so irritating. Our waiter was very kind though. I was excited to try their pretzel but it wasn't even hot. It was as if it wasn't a fresh pretzel they gave us. I got a drink thinking it was mixed with strawberries like a purée but it was just fresh strawberries. That was bad on my part. Even their cheese Burgers, which are a staple of all bar food, is done really well. Their beer cheese is noncomparable except to craft beer places that make their own.
