I tried to tell Western New York Imaging that someone was using their business name (sending an unsolicited text with a hyperlink) as a Scam and the woman on the phone tried to get my personal (date of birth) information. when I refused to gII've it, she abruptly said, " No worries!" and hung up the phone. I was going to give her the phone number that they were using (I googled it and it came up as a scam number) but didn't get a chance when she abruptly hung up. I guess she didn't care. wny mri imgaging needs to make each location their own special NIP number so insurance coverasge goes to the right location. I got canceled due to this probelm and had to make a new appointment and it put me on a further date and my doctors needed it sooner. Each location should have their own special number so this does not happen again. This is so frustrating for the patients, workers, doctors and insurance companies. What a mess! Make sure you call several times to make sure you still have your appoitment at the location you want! read more

The location in Buffalo on Genesee Street is fabulous - from the office to the tech team I have been so impressed with their service levels, cleanliness and friendliness. After several issues at Roswell, Windsong, and another clinic I decide to give WNY MRI a try for a breast MRI. They were efficient, timely, and so nice. When I needed a chest x-ray I did not hesitate to go there again and received the same experience. During my x-ray I removed some jewelry and left it at the facility. Late at night when I realized it I was distraught. I awoke early to be first in line at 7am and the staff was so helpful. They had found my jewelry and put it aside for me. My prayers were answered because this was a sentimental piece of jewelry. I really would encourage anyone looking for a place that's convenient with great staff to give them a try! read more

Some staff here were nice and helpful. But, when I went in for my actual ultrasound, the person was not helpful. She didn't give me instructions, explain what she was doing, or talk through the process. She just did her job and had me leave. As a medical procedure, it's really important to have informed consent and ongoing dialogue - unless the patient doesn't want it. This was my first time going through this test, so I was nervous and had no help during the process. That said, good job desk staff! read more

I went there because I used to get my mammograms at Spectrum and now this is Spectrum. Disorganized in making an appointment, not friendly, no one wears masks(very sad), and the person doing my mammogram was not listening. When I said 'it hurts', she ignored me! Don't go here! read more

My experience at WNY MRI has been nothing but a hassle and intense aggravation. Their offices are under construction so the parking situation was difficult and the main lobby area was in shambles. There were temporary walls up and the place was just dirty. I checked in with the front desk for my 7:30 appointment and when I gave the woman my name, she said, "Oh, we've been looking for you since 7:00 this morning." My first thought was, Where were you looking? I had no missed calls and nobody showed up to my apartment door to escort me to the appointment. So I said, "I'm sorry, I have in my calendar here that my appointment was at 7:30, to which she replied no it was at 7. It was at 7:30, but if they were looking for me, you think they might have given me a ring a ling. Anyways, since I was a half hour late in their minds, I was told they would "TRY" and get me in. I sat for about an hour in the waiting room at which point I was asked to come to the back room and get ready for the MRI. The process was extremely nonchalant. I have had previous MRIs where serious precautions had been taken before entering the MRI room since it is essential to rid your body of all metals. There was none of that here. There were no warnings about not to walk any further, no caution signs, nothing. People were walking freely about, on their cell phones all around the MRI room. Then it was my turn. The woman assisting me onto the table was impatient, cold, unfriendly and seemed to be agitated. Listen, MRI's aren't a walk in the park, some people get a little uptight about the claustrophobic nature of them, you would think she might say something like, "Just relax, it'll be over soon, if you need anything press this button." Nah. None of that. I was having an MRI of my jaw done and it took FOR-EV-ER. FOR-EV-ER. The instrument that she gave me to widen my jaw every so often was malfunctioning, but that was my fault apparently. She kept telling me to stop wiggling, I wasn't wiggling, I was breathing. You know, the thing we do to stay alive. I have to have MRI's done regularly, and not once has one taken this long. All the other MRI's I have had done give you headphone and allow you to listen to music because the sounds can be really loud and intimidating. This machine wasn't loud, it was deafening. She kept telling me, "last one" but it wasn't even close to the last one. When we finally finished, she walked into the room and I said in a lighthearted manner, "Whoa that was long" to which she replied, "Well maybe if you didn't move around so much we could have been done a lot faster." So kind, so warm, so understanding. NOT. I was happy to be done with the imaging and thought the experience was over until I got my bill in the mail today and they neglected to incorporate my insurance authorization code so I almost fainted when I opened the bill. I called medical billing at WNY to straighten this out and was told that WNY MRI failed to tie my insurance to my bill and to disregard the bill and a new one would be issued. That shouldn't happen. It took WEEKS to establish an authorization code from my insurance company before I could make this appointment, I was surprised a mistake like this was made. The man I spoke with on the phone put me on hold while he checked to make sure I had authorization and when he returned from being on hold he said, "Disregard that bill, I have located your authorization code." A few people are pleasant on the phone but in person, the check in staff have a big attitude. One very young Latina was incredibly rude and smug. I refuse to return or recommend this place. The techs performing the procedures were super. But getting to that point was grueling and I wouldn't go here again. Nasty front office staff and the HR person Tracy, was off the wall when I tried to address the issue. This place must have an office pool for rudeness. Don't go here. read more

I cannot say enough about the facility. We arrived at 7:30 am and the receptionist was friendly, smiling and very courteous. My family member was taken back for the test by a friendly technician who later came out to give me an update on his progress. I was working in an area that was designated for other usage and the staff member asked me to move. She was extremely apologetic explaining why I could not sit there, provided me with a quiet private area to continue my work and returned later with water cups offering me filtered water. Hats off to everyone at WNY MRI, they are a model for how patients should be treated! My family member remarked after the test at how professional the technician was and explained every step to reassure him. He was also very impressed with the experience. read more

The reviews on here are true to form. I made an appointment 2 months ago for a mammogram and a rider to pick me up and take me back home. I call a couple of days ago to confirm and the stupid woman who answered the phone put me on hold to check it out. She said all was OK. I called the morning of my appointment and it was musical phones with these stupid people! The lady that I spoke to said I was not listed to have a pick up and that she would send a Liberty Cab to pick me up and take me home at no cost and that it was up to me! I told her to forget it and that I made another appointment at another facility. This place is too dysfunctional to deal with. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

My experience with this place was horrible.today just done my ultrasound it was my 2nd time with the same lady, I don't know her name but she was not friendly enough she is not able to figure out my baby's gender.i am almost 6.5 months pregnant! 1st time she don't even find out baby's heart chambers !!!!!then I came back after 2weeks for 2nd ultrasound this time agin she unable to find baby's gender ! My husband and me don't even see the baby properly she face the monitor to her ! Even, she did not explain us baby's parts, ( leg,hand,head)and how is the baby.!!!!!!!she said we can figure out baby's gender after baby come to us !she kinda rude person!!! we are totally not happy with their service.their parking lot was horrible too.don't go there for any reason read more

I have an open Worker's Comp case and I've had 2 MRI's in the past 30 days at WNY MRI, Genessee St., Buffalo, NY. I have nothing but good things to say. I have to be sedated because I am claustrophobic so I needed a ride. Of course all of my friends are working, but fortunately, they provided a courtesy van. Both drivers I had (sorry, forgot their names) were awesome. Called to remind me Friday for Monday appt. and again when they were on their way to pick me up. The woman at reception desk (also forgot name, but had an accent) was also very nice and helpful. The gentleman that performed my MRI was very patient w/me. Although I was given s/thg to sedate, I was still very nervous/anxious. He offered me headphones which I thought would be great, but changed my mind for some unreasonable reason. These MRI's are very stressful for me but everyone here at WNY MRI's Genessee St. location from the drivers to the tech were awesome.
