(I am admittedly very nervous about this, but then lots of us are.) The staff is nearly always cheerful and attentive, the facility is spotless and conveniently located on Youngs Road in Williamsville. But watch out, the road sign is placed parallel to the road, but it ought to be perpendicular so you can see it, plus it's set back from the road a bit. You'll likely pass it the first time. Anywho, the place is perfectly comfortable, although it's not a mega-facility, which is my personal preference. It's clearly an efficient, well-run facility. The waiting room is comfy and the wait time is reasonable. Also, scheduling an appointment is always easy peasy, they're super accommodating. When your name is called, you're escorted to the changing area that is much like a small changing stall at a gym. They don't leave you waiting anxiously for too long, in your opens-in-the-front gown. The images are taken and you're brought to the next room, a sort of holding area, in case they need more images. This particular screening procedure is well, unpleasant -- anywhere you go. But it's so miniscule in duration, it's tolerable. They do their best. They even offer "comfort pads" for $5 which I tried once. Let's face it, it's like putting on a texting glove while the door is slammed on your finger. The doctor reads your films while you wait. In due time, you're either dismissed by the tech with a letter of all clear or you get the additional images if the doc needs to see a different view. Once, they gave me the option of having further images via ultrasound then and there, or to schedule a return appointment for it. Of course I let them do their business right then, the problem was even resolved that day. From the people at the front reception desk, to the technicians, to the doctor, I've always had a very good experience at Spectrum Radiology. Now go get your mammo!

Going to an office so that they can stick a needle in my neck was nearly unbearable, even after some calming help from pharmaceuticals. That said, I would see Dr. Jackson whenever I need anything radiology-related in the future. I spent hardly any time in the waiting room before they called me back. At first they told my boyfriend he would have to stay in the waiting room, but when I explained how anxious I was they let him come back with me to the exam room right up until the actual procedure. He smuggled in a stuffed panda for me, and no one blinked an eye at it. Dr. Jackson was wonderful, very patient with my freaking out, and her assistant even went so far as to hold my hand during the actual procedure. The doctor explained each step of the process (after asking if I'd prefer to know or have her just do it) and while it certainly wasn't pleasant (understatement) it would have been a lot worse with someone less sympathetic. When she finished, she let me use the Spiderman band-aid I'd brought for a little moral support, and told me I could bolt for the door, which I promptly did. The procedure yielded an excellent sample and the results were back in just under three days. I'd definitely recommend Spectrum, and Dr. Jackson in particular, with no reservations.

Staff and technicians are efficient and friendly and courteous. Last Friday I went here for sinus cavity CT. From the registration desk to returning to my car, it was less than 20 minutes. Off to 180 Park Club Lane I dashed and into the new location. It was a little unnerving as I don't like change and signage was not real clear. I checked in to the friendly front office worker behind glass. There was plenty of hand sanitizer around and all people were properly masked. Info was exchanged and a non-touch temp taken of my wrist. I barely sat down when I was called for my imaging. Holy cow I was so nervous. I was pleasantly shown to a little changing booth, told here's where you take your stuff off, and place your clothes in this bag and let me know when you're ready. Moments later I was ready and escorted to the mammo room and told her I was really anxious. She asked what I was afraid of. I said I'm just anxious. She then asked the magic question: so, do you have a dog? And instantly I was at ease as we chatted about rescue dogs and such. The procedure was honestly painless, minor - and I mean minor - discomfort. No cringing, no bullets to bite. This woman is a super pro. Snap! Just like that, I was done. We walked to a seating area, I clutching my pink plastic bag, gown still on. Before I had time to drum my fingers, worry what they might find, and what seemed like moments later, I was awarded a piece of paper with the "all good" area checked and see ya next year. Seriously? I received a phone call and text message reminder before my appointment and when I arrived there was absolutely no waiting. My technican, Sandy, was a gem! I couldn't ask for a better person to make me comfortable and explain everything to me. The facility was clean and lots of privacy available. Immediately after the imaging was done, I waited just a few minutes for my results. Once those were received I was on my way. Highly recommend!

Let me preface, I called last week to see if I could get a bone density at the same time I came in for the mammogram. No, they were booked until December. That would have been enough, but no, the scheduler decided to tell me that my mammogram would NOT be covered by my insurance. She said it would have to be 6 months out. Not bad enough that you are dealing with breast cancer, let's give the patient extra stress. I called my doctor and my insurance company only to find she misinformed me. Diagnostic is covered. First, they hand you a form to fill out. I refuse. I was here 3 months ago, 6 months before that. You have this information. Clerk comes and says the radiologist needs this information. Fine, I answered a few questions, and checked a couple of boxes. I had a 9:00 appointment, they finally call me in at 9:30, no apology, no excuses, nothing. Technician starts telling me more information than what I responded to on the form. So, I assume, they DO have the information from my last visit. What is the point of this waste of time? Do I need busy work to distract me from my appointment being late? After the mammogram you sit and wait..... and wait..... and wait. Apparently, the doc who reads the mammogram is the only one there to read mammograms? Over an hour goes by before I'm called by a clerk and told everything is fine. So, we recommend you schedule your next appointment..... No thank you sweetheart, I will not be back. Next week I see my doctor and will discuss with her where else I can go. This person stole our identity twice and was arrested for stealing pills from the pharmacy she worked at. Attached is a copy of her DEA case. When I brought this to their attention, nothing was done. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want your identity stolen. I'll be making a call to the Medical Board. I think they'll be interested to hear about this!

So I get the breast examination done wow the technician was a little short patient and says to me turn the same way as I just told you on the other Breast, I said well I had i a brain injury and I don't remember what you told me to tell me again. Then I wait for the results for the doctor and they come out and bring me a paper and says call your doctor and tell him you need a referral for a ultrasound so now I worry, I said, don't get to talk to the doctor. Well, you just said take this paper to your doctor. OK now I'm concerned so I said I want to see the doctor. There was absolutely no other customers in there ,I wait another 15-20 minutes. I go and talk to the doctor I asked him a question then he called the x-ray technician and tell her to explain to me how to call a doctor and make appointment. I told him I don't need her to explain to me how to make an appointment but again this is their pettiness toward people of color then she says to me I just told you in the other room and I said well if you just told me you tell me again I just told you in the other room. I had a brain injury and I forget then I asked the secretary that took me in. Is this gonna go to my doctor all of it Will and then she said something smart and I says oh now I see why I didn't come back here immediately as she goes well yeah sorry that you had such a bad experience but more or less that's your problem since I said no problem. I'll just list how my treatment was on social media. What you do that OK and here it is I'm listing it. However, I was seated for only 10 min, checked in, and brought to the screening room. Everyone was apologetic (no need) and very accommodating. This is the first time the exam did not hurt! New technology? The place was clean and decorated well (not gray). They even had an aromatherapy machine in the exam room! Plenty of parking and seating in the waiting room. I used to go to Seaton but the office staff is surely and the building could use a facelift.
