Really cozy rooms to help keep you comfortable before being zapped with radiation.

Nobody wants to get xrays or an MRI. (Well, not normal people.) But if you must go, this is the place to do it! There is plenty of parking; it's a clean facility; they stick to their appointment times, and the staff is great! I have had a series of x-rays, two MRIs, and two mammograms done here. (Not in the same day.) Each time I've been has been the best possible experience, given the circumstances. Most recently I went for my annual mammogram. I showed up five minutes before my appointment. I signed my paperwork, and they took me right back. A friendly staff member took me back to my room & gave me clear instructions. The girl who performed my scan was warm and friendly, and worked diligently. She kept me engaged in conversation so I didn't have to focus on the discomfort. (They offer soft pads for more comfortable mammograms, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!) When she was done, she took me back to my room, I got dressed, and left. When I got back to the lobby where my husband was waiting, he couldn't believe I was already done. He didn't even get to finish watching whatever fishing video kept him engaged on his iPad. Within a week, I had my results in the mail. None of that long wait, wondering if all is well with 'the girls.' I've been to places who tell you, "We'll only contact you if something was wrong." Then I worry that maybe they sent something that got lost in the mail. This way, you know either way!

Going to get any sort of medical procedure done is not often fun, but the friendly folks over at Buffalo MRI make it painless and comfortable. Their waiting room is well organized with flowing water, all sorts of different coffee (including decaf) and some nice colors. Coming in for a 1PM appointment, I didn't have to wait longer then five minutes to get treatment done and everyone who talked to me were professional, courteous and compassionate. The room where the treatment was done was really comfortable with a painted mural of Italy over it! After spending hours in certain Dr's offices for a half hour appointment, it was a relief that Buffalo MRI was able to get me in and out in such a quick amount of time. Unfortunately, they don't have wifi in the waiting room yet, but if they did...it would totally kick it up to 5-stars for me.

Employees skirts/skorts are too short. There is a lack of communication between staff. Not all staff working at the front desk are knowledgeable. If we hadn't gone through the VA (Veterans Affairs) Choice program, we would've requested a different company to do my husbands knee injections. But only so many companies accept VA healthcare insurance and it took a month to get into Buffalo MRI. Our initial appointment was scheduled without our knowledge. That was the VAs fault, not Buffalo MRI. Buffalo MRI called us a couple days before his original appointment date (the one we weren't aware of) to notify us the doctor wasn't available on that date or at that time. The doctor that does knee injections supposedly only does them between 9-11am. We scheduled a new appointment based off of the doctor's availability. Upon arriving early, checking in and waiting almost 30 min past our scheduled appt and after driving 40 min each way, we were informed the knee injection materials or whatever you want to call it, weren't in stock!! Reluctantly, we rescheduled and we're informed we could call in advance to make sure THEY have what THEY need in stock to do the injections.

When you first walk in you're greeted with the Aroma of coffee. As you sign in you are able to grab some coffee if you'd like. You take the clipboard and fill it out as you're sitting down there until someone comes to you to get the co-pay. Then you're taken to the back where they have little waiting rooms, each with 2 chairs, a coffee table and magazines to read, and you wait again. They have nice chandeliers and calm colors. They have spa music in the background which is great to keep you relaxed

(I am admittedly very nervous about this, but then lots of us are.) The staff is nearly always cheerful and attentive, the facility is spotless and conveniently located on Youngs Road in Williamsville. But watch out, the road sign is placed parallel to the road, but it ought to be perpendicular so you can see it, plus it's set back from the road a bit. You'll likely pass it the first time. Anywho, the place is perfectly comfortable, although it's not a mega-facility, which is my personal preference. It's clearly an efficient, well-run facility. The waiting room is comfy and the wait time is reasonable. Also, scheduling an appointment is always easy peasy, they're super accommodating. When your name is called, you're escorted to the changing area that is much like a small changing stall at a gym. They don't leave you waiting anxiously for too long, in your opens-in-the-front gown. The images are taken and you're brought to the next room, a sort of holding area, in case they need more images. This particular screening procedure is well, unpleasant -- anywhere you go. But it's so miniscule in duration, it's tolerable. They do their best. They even offer "comfort pads" for $5 which I tried once. Let's face it, it's like putting on a texting glove while the door is slammed on your finger. The doctor reads your films while you wait. In due time, you're either dismissed by the tech with a letter of all clear or you get the additional images if the doc needs to see a different view. Once, they gave me the option of having further images via ultrasound then and there, or to schedule a return appointment for it. Of course I let them do their business right then, the problem was even resolved that day. From the people at the front reception desk, to the technicians, to the doctor, I've always had a very good experience at Spectrum Radiology. Now go get your mammo!

So my Doctor (who is in the same building) sent a request over for X-rays. I checked in very easily. Woman who checked me in was very nice. It's always a relief to have a hassle-free process when you are sick. Waiting room was nice and it was big enough that no one had to sit next to a stranger. There was a large TV on to watch and magazines. Not sure what else because I pretty much live on my phone in any waiting area. When I was called back, I was taken to a little room to change into gowns from the waist up. The woman did not tell me there were lockers for my stuff so I left my clothes in there initially. Whoops! There are lockers in the SECOND waiting area where patients on deck wait. Just find one with a key in it and that's available. Take out the key and put your stuff in. I kept my phone with me to keep me entertained and no one said anything :) The second waiting room is small - only 6 chairs. But the only people in there are patients going up next. It's not the most comfortable to be sitting around men when you are in a gown with no bra on but hey we are all in the same boat. There is a TV in this room as well. The man who did my X-rays was very nice. I did not feel uncomfortable and it was over quickly. Next I went back to the small waiting room once more while a doctor looked over my images. Even though I was there an hour and a half, it went by fairly quickly. They are efficient and I imagine had there been less patients, I would have gone in faster. Great place and easy process. Although it took longer than anticipated, I was very comfortable here and would not dread going back.

Now, I maybe have 1 per week. The staff at Dent is nice and they know their stuff. I'm happy they have found trigger point injections as a solution, because I've tried many other treatment plans with two other doctors- medication, massage, sinus blocks, infusions, and diet. It's been a crazy ride. The parking lot is always pretty full, so I know I won't always get a good spot. Even the handicapped parking is five or six spaces from the door. Dent is also a very busy place,so they try to schedule your appointments 2-3 at a time, if you get a monthly treatment like I do. They are definitely booked most of the time, so that makes it more difficult, if you need to reschedule. Waiting time can vary depending on the day... probably if the patient before you is late lol. I'm usually seen pretty quickly, but there have been times where I've waited thirty minutes or more. All and all, this is working for me, so I'm happy.

I have been a patient at DENT for chronic migraine since 2022 and it had been nothing but chaos and poor communication. When I began treatment at Dent, I had been experiencing migraines for around five years. It took me six months to get an initial appointment, and from then on it has been nothing but disappointment. The first doctor I saw usually only gave me around 15 minutes of his time during appointments and would speak over me when I tried to address my concerns and explain my problems. Soon after that, when we started a treatment plan and things still weren't getting better, he suggested that I go for a weight loss consultation, saying it could affect my migraines. I know I'm not a neurologist, but I am smart enough to do some research. I know that my weight does not affect the migraines I experience. After that, I had requested a new doctor because I was simply appalled that this was offered to me. When I told them that I would like a new doctor, they said that they could do a transfer of care internally to a different doctor. All they needed to do was send a request. This took THREE MONTHS and required me calling multiple times to ask about it. When I finally saw a new doctor, he gave me about 5 minutes of his time, not listening to any of my concerns again, and just said that we will stay the course on the treatment that was not working for me. When I went to a Botox appointment, I absolutely broke down to the PA, telling her that nothing is working and no one is listening to me. She actually listened to my needs, and tried a switching some of my meds around, but now she will not respond to ANY of my portal messages. Today's situation was what really broke me. I recently found out I was pregnant and needed to be advised on what medication I can take during pregnancy (spoiler alert: only Tylenol ), and I had a terrible migraine so I wanted relief asap. Today I have called them a total of 6 times!!! I waited 30 minutes on hold and when I was the next person in line the phone hung up. Then I called back again to find I got pushed to the back of the queue and was number 11. Waited another 45mins for a call back to then wait 20 minutes more on hold to finally get a hold of nurse triage. When I finally tell them what's going on, all they can do is put in an urgent message to my DR asking for an infusion, which is fine. I then wait for FIVE HOURS to hear back and that all my dr provided was a list of safe medications I can take while pregnant, but no order for an infusion, so I asked the nurse to please ask for that and that things are getting worse. Then 2 hours after that they finally call me back saying she ordered an infusion for me, but I missed the call from the nurse BY ONE MINUTE because I was too busy vomiting from the pain. I attempt to call back and then I was told I was number 19 in the queue to just end up leaving a message and not talk to anyone!!!!! I started this whole process at 9:30am, it is now 4pm and I still haven't been called by the infusion place and now probably won't be able to get an infusion today because they don't know how to communicate with each other. All in all, DENT is taking advantage of their status of the "biggest neurological group in WNY" and treating patients TERRIBLY because they basically have no where else to go. DONT GO HERE NO MATTER

I had a sleep study ordered in October and I was told someone would call me which they did in March. And that was after I left multiple messages asking to schedule. A new medication prescribed on March 25th that required prior was not done until a month later and that wasn't due to Anthem BCBS or my pharmacy not advising Dent of this but because the nurse forgot. If I hadn't asked the nurse about another medication for my migraines the auth would never have been done. When I called to schedule my MRI the first available was 5 weeks out. Due to my claustrophobia I always have sedation which has been done by the nurses at Dent. When I scheduled the imaging I was told to arrive 1/2 an hour early for the sedation. Imagine my surprise when I get there to be told the sedation was actually sent to my pharmacy something the woman scheduling nor the nurse at dent told me was being done. The receptionist was unable to reschedule it because "dent doesn't train front desk on scheduling just check in and to call back to reschedule". After all of this I called early this morning and left a message for Kristen one of the managers. Instead of calling me back she had Mary Grace do it because as Mary Grace said Kristen was too busy to talk to me. I understand now I am just a paycheck for the staff at dent. With a high deductible plan I get text messages and a phone call prior to any visit about the cost for "care" and to make sure I have money in hand. I know I'm just a number to Dent but I would have hoped that they see patients as actual people and not just as dollar signs
