To start with, Windsong has several different locations, which I did not know. This is one of them. That way I was able to have more of a "choice" for appointment times, seeing it was a fasting type test. The staff were very professional and worked in an efficient and timely manner. Friendly too! Which helps when you're just not up to parr. The office is clean and there's plenty of seating for a 6 foot distance if that's what you need. It's location right off interstate 290 if you need a street reference and the parking lot is huge. No fighting for a spot! read more

I have never been so disappointed in an experience with a facility . I scheduled an appointment 3 months ahead of time in June. They cancelled it and rescheduled it for July 8. I went for the prep and the receptionist gave me the wrong prep. I did the prep and went for the appointment not knowing that it was wrong . They tried to reschedule my procedure but I cancelled it because I don't trust them to treat me. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone very unprofessional. read more

Nobody wants to get xrays or an MRI. (Well, not normal people.) But if you must go, this is the place to do it! There is plenty of parking; it's a clean facility; they stick to their appointment times, and the staff is great! I have had a series of x-rays, two MRIs, and two mammograms done here. (Not in the same day.) Each time I've been has been the best possible experience, given the circumstances. Most recently I went for my annual mammogram. I showed up five minutes before my appointment. I signed my paperwork, and they took me right back. A friendly staff member took me back to my room & gave me clear instructions. The girl who performed my scan was warm and friendly, and worked diligently. She kept me engaged in conversation so I didn't have to focus on the discomfort. (They offer soft pads for more comfortable mammograms, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!) When she was done, she took me back to my room, I got dressed, and left. When I got back to the lobby where my husband was waiting, he couldn't believe I was already done. He didn't even get to finish watching whatever fishing video kept him engaged on his iPad. Within a week, I had my results in the mail. None of that long wait, wondering if all is well with 'the girls.' I've been to places who tell you, "We'll only contact you if something was wrong." I went there for an x-ray for a personal injury case. Everything was OK regarding the standard process; signing in, etc., but there was plenty of room for improvement. My issue is regarding the billing process. I paid out-of-pocket; to be reimbursed later. I recently requested a receipt for legal purposes; which was when I noticed two separate amounts. Contacting their billing office & speaking w/ someone was worse than pulling teeth. I was given the excuse; "we're overly busy right now." (Well then, get some more help!) When I finally do speak to a billing associate, she explains it to me BUT there was no record of the credit I was told I received. (Lo, & behold, it was processed the next day....after THREE YEARS! Going to get any sort of medical procedure done is not often fun, but the friendly folks over at Buffalo MRI make it painless and comfortable. Their waiting room is well organized with flowing water, all sorts of different coffee (including decaf) and some nice colors. Coming in for a 1PM appointment, I didn't have to wait longer then five minutes to get treatment done and everyone who talked to me were professional, courteous and compassionate. The room where the treatment was done was really comfortable with a painted mural of Italy over it! After spending hours in certain Dr's offices for a half hour appointment, it was a relief that Buffalo MRI was able to get me in and out in such a quick amount of time. So awful waiting on results for Brain Cancer results as it is but now their "new" 3rd Party readings .. HORRIBLE! I asked to file a complaint, the girl goes ..sure & transfers me to a VM I'm sure never to be addressed! Feels like the Healthcare industry has totally gone down the tubes & NO ONE HAS ANY SENSE OF URGENCY! I don't have a hang nail, it's a lot more serious than that! Employees skirts/skorts are too short. There is a lack of communication between staff. Not all staff working at the front desk are knowledgeable. If we hadn't gone through the VA (Veterans Affairs) Choice program, we would've requested a different company to do my husbands knee injections. But only so many companies accept VA healthcare insurance and it took a month to get into Buffalo MRI. Our initial appointment was scheduled without our knowledge. That was the VAs fault, not Buffalo MRI. Buffalo MRI called us a couple days before his original appointment date (the one we weren't aware of) to notify us the doctor wasn't available on that date or at that time. The doctor that does knee injections supposedly only does them between 9-11am. We scheduled a new appointment based off of the doctor's availability. Upon arriving early, checking in and waiting almost 30 min past our scheduled appt and after driving 40 min each way, we were informed the knee injection materials or whatever you want to call it, weren't in stock!! I would have given 5 stars had the experience been exceptional. However I found a few things I did not like. The machines are certainly the highest level of quality and certainly are very impressive in what they are capable of. I have no problem there. I also have absolutely no problem with Windsong (any location) or it's administration. I think its the best. The building is very beautiful and well taken care of, and the people I encountered were very friendly and efficient and seemingly competent. However as a first user of an MRI machine I expected a more professional "introduction" to the machine and what to expect during the 20 minutes inside the bore of the machine. The tech (who I am sure is a well trained, knowledgeable and competent technician) wasted no time in having me lay on the table, comfort me with pillows and panic ball. Next thing I know I am inside the tube listening to its mechanical songs as it begins the imaging. However I felt as though I could have been given more in the way of interaction with the tech. As a first time user I was not told to expect strange loud noises. I was not asked if I felt comfortable inside the tube and was ready to proceed before the machine started. I did call out to the tech to ask a question of the tech after I was inside the tube (my arms were against the tube walls; I had read somewhere that a cushion should have been placed there to keep my arms away from contacting the walls.) I called out several times. Because the tech either wasn't listening or there was not any way to communicate to him once the procedure began. This was very disappointing. I had other friends who had MRIs done at other places tell me they were able to communicate with the tech over a phone -like thing attached to the headset the patient wears which helps to keep the sound level down. This headset apparently had no such set up for talking to the tech inside the control room. I never did have my question answered. I feel the ability to talk to your technician should be present at all times. It was not in this case. However, I would still recommend Windsong Buffalo MRI. I intend to continue to bring my business there. I will be having more imaging done. And I hope next time I do get a headset that allows me to talk to the operator of the machine. When you first walk in you're greeted with the Aroma of coffee. As you sign in you are able to grab some coffee if you'd like. You take the clipboard and fill it out as you're sitting down there until someone comes to you to get the co-pay. And it's not a spa or a hotel, it's a radiological imaging center! Aside from the inner workings, you would never even know this is a medical office. It was so unlike the typical sterile environments we associate medicine with, and that was so nice! I was completely impressed with how RIGHT Buffalo MRI & CT got it with the aesthetics of their office and treatment of their patients! I brought my mom here yesterday for some imaging she needed to have done. We were both blown away with how beautiful the facility is, how professional and friendly the staff is, and how non-intimidating the entire experience was. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Getting an ultrasound and especially an MRI is never fun, but this place makes it as pleasant as possible. Initially I was going to go to a hospital to get this done, but I decided to read some Yelp reviews and after doing so, decided on Buffalo MRI. I'll start with the environment. It's like a spa, with soothing colors, music and coffee, tea and water available. They really seem to think of the patient and his/her comfort through the whole experience. Everyone is kind and professional. My technician Emily went above and beyond. She was amazing. She communicated so well with me and put me at ease. I liked that while waiting for the MRI they take you to a private, beautiful, very comfortable room to put your clothing and belongings in. The biggest thing that impressed me about this place is how they advocated for me. There were some things that didn't make sense on my script. They called my doctor's office multiple times to discuss things and clear up some confusion. This made me feel like I was in exceptional hands, with people that were looking out for my best interests. I really thing you will get the best care possible at Buffalo MRI. This is by far the nicest place I've ever gone to get an MRI. All the staff are super friendly, and they have a variety of coffee available in the lobby. When they take you back for your MRI you get your own room to hang out in while you wait. Mine had 2 comfortable chairs and some light music playing. The MRI tech made sure to ask how I was doing multiple times through the MRI and the process went by as fast as it could. If I needed another MRI I would want it done here. read more

Always my go to place for any type of MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, etc. I love when walking in you get a sense of a spa like atmosphere. You tend to shortly forget you even came in for a medical appointment. Lessens the stress you might have of finding out an unwanted result. I love the decor. The staff are super friendly. I've never had a poor experience with anyone. There are also plenty of refreshments on a counter, along with a fridge and coffee maker that you can help yourself to. Once you are brought back, they bring you to your own private room where you can lock your belongings if you need to get changed for your procedure before taking you to the imaging room. Helps you to not forget if you have jewelry that can't be on -- since at other businesses I have left earrings behind before after handing them off to my tech. Then wondering a week later how I lost them... I always get a cd of my images before leaving and its never an issue obtaining one from them if I forget for a prior appointment. Only down side is sometimes the wait can be a little extensive if it is a busier day. But either way you get a wait at nearly 99% of medical practices nowadays anyway. read more

I went to have an MRI of my cervical spine. They asked if I was claustrophobic when I made the appointment No, I replied. WRONG!!! Let me say that the staff here is magnificent. From the time you walk in the door everyone is nice, the atmosphere is very relaxing. You wait in a comfortable little room before the procedure where new age music plays. So, I walk into the MRI room, lie down on the table, they just begin to slide me into the tube and I FREAK! I have no idea where that came from. The staff was very professional and kind. I'm a big baby when it comes to medical procedures, but when I injured myself a year and a half ago, my doctor referred me to Buffalo MRI for testing. When I called and made my first appointment, they were very friendly over the phone. I mentioned that I have anxiety when it comes to medical procedures and I'm pretty claustrophobic, and she told me I could bring music to play during the procedure, which helped a lot. I was also told I could have an open MRI due to the nature of my injury. The receptionist was very warm and caring when I checked in on the day of my appointment. I was impressed at how relaxing the environment was. Between the dimmed lights and soft colors, I felt more at ease, and I did not even feel like I was in a medical facility. I waited for about 10 minutes, and they promptly called me back. The nurse who brought me back was friendly and guided me to a small, private room where I could place my belongings while I had the procedure. When I went in the room, the MRI technician was also great. He asked me if I had any music and I told him yes. He was very accommodating. He told me it was normal to be nervous, and eased my nerves a bit by explaining that it'll be loud, but I could look to the side if I felt crowded in the machine. There was a calming image projected on the wall and it made me feel more at ease. The technician told me not to worry and if I panicked, I could press a button and it would stop the procedure. I felt as relaxed as I possibly could. In all, I was in the facility for about an hour and a half, which I feel is not bad for a medical procedure. Buffalo MRI is very accommodating (when I was referred by my doctor to a surgeon, they were very willing to send printed copies of my imaging to the surgeon in a prompt manner). Their staff goes above and beyond in making their patients feel comfortable and at ease for their procedures. I will not go anywhere else for non-emergency imaging. read more

I had a appointment today 6/3/2020 the morning receptionist is very rude . I almost cancelled my appointment but because I was here already I decided to stay . I was responding to a expired script that I had given her and she was like "what " and I said did you say what that's rude . I mean she is a middle age woman I wasn't expecting her to say what as thought she didn't hear what I was saying . I expect for the younger generation to speak in the manner but not this middle aged women who appear to be educated but is rude as heck . Paid almost $1600 for two studies which were supposed to be a minimum of 45 minutes. Found out that they only did 35 minutes and didn't include what was requested on the requisition. Waste of time, money, and energy. Talked to the radiologist about the requisition ahead of time. Talked to the technician about the requisition right before the test and she confirmed that everything was included. Left a message after the test to address these issues and still haven't heard back. These people are unethical and dangerous. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

"You can RELY on buffalo M.R.I" is the jingle that a lot of us know and love here in buffalo. Boy, they are right! It's a very cozy set up. The waiting room is large with cozy couches and water falling along the wall. It's really pretty and cozy. The staff is very well mannered and are with you every step of the way. I love how they have little private rooms for you to put your things in before you enter the machines for your scan. I had to get a MRI done of my head and it was a pretty smooth process and the staff was really nurturing and caring. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because halfway through my MRI they are supposed to inject your body with dye. Unfortunately, I was stuck about 6 times as the staff was unable to find a vein. I had to eventually come back. If you can't find the vein after 3 send home your patient and make them come back another day. I was in extreme pain (needles hurt)... besides that, they did an excellent job. I'll be back here if I ever need a CT scan/ MRI. read more

This facility is by far the worst place to ever have any testing done. I recently had a scan done and was "greeted" at the front counter by a young girl who had an extremely rude attitude. She gave me my paperwork that was sitting up on the shelf, which was visible to other patients, and told me to sit down. When I re-approached her shortly after she demanded that I sit down and wait for someone from behind the curtain to come and collect my things. While waiting for this mystery person to come out, I could hear every conversation that was taking place beyond these curtains. Other patient's health information was being shouted out loud, including personal information like social security numbers. I was appalled by such blatant disrespect for a patient's right to privacy. After waiting a rather long period of time, past my initial appointment, I was finally approached by a woman who demanded my copay and insurance cards. After this uncomfortable process I was herded like cattle to a small room where I was to wait, I waited for over 20 minutes with no explanation given. I went to use the restroom and encountered yet another violation of patient's privacy, there was a computer that was left unattended with various patient's names and information pulled up. I would never consider going to this facility again nor would I ever recommend others to. read more
