Fantastic bakery that opened barely a week when I went with my family in Strasburg…read more Easy to miss but right by a wine shop, this bakery is tucked away from the main street but that shouldn't stop you from visiting. Everything is made there by owner Vickiann Keene who I met along with one of her workers. Very friendly and welcoming and noticed we had stopped by the nearby donut shop. From viennoserie like danishes, muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls, there is good selection to choose from. The scone I had was the raspberry white chocolate and was the choice when I asked for a recommendation. The scone was moist, just the right amount of crumbly you'd expect from a well-baked scone and the raspberry white chocolate flavor combination gave a light sweetness without being cloying. Same thing for the sticky bun which was amazing when warm. Not too doughy and the amount of sweetness I prefer in my viennoserie. The bakery also serves La Colombe coffee and makes other delicious items such as eclairs, cream puffs, cupcakes and dessert bars which all looked fantastic. Make a pit shop at Strasburg and try this bakery! Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

If you're going to post rules, don't play favorites. I had heard of this place and really wanted…read moresomething delicious for the holiday weekend. There was a sign on the door stating that only 4 people are allowed inside a time, social distancing must be observed, etc. There were already 2-3 people inside. A group 4 of women piled inside ahead of me and stood there talking. So I stood in the doorway, mask in hand, ready to put it on before entering, and respectfully asked if they are still limiting the number of people in the store. Bear in mind that fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks indoors. I was told, yes they are still limiting the number of people to 4 and can I please wear a mask. Then the girl turns to the group in front of me and said, "You can all stay." If you are going to pick and choose amongst your customers, I won't be one.

My mom and I were driving to our hotel when we passed through Ronks and were trying to find a spot…read morefor dinner - I literally typed into Apple Maps "American dinner" because we were just feeling good quality American food and this place popped up! I am so unbelievably glad we stopped here because it was one of the most impressive and tasty dinners I've had in a long time! Their menu isn't super extensive but they do have rotating specials of drinks, dinner, and dessert. I went with the pork chops which came with their seasonal starch and vegetable which was potatoes and zucchini. The pork chop was super flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bacon jam had a sweet and salty vibe which only added to the flavor of the dish. I ordered a ginger and pear mocktail - refreshing. Their drinks looked amazing but I refrained from alcohol for the night , but they were definitely tempting. My mom loved her apricot salmon and had the same sides. Bread and salad a soup are all à la carte add ons. The roll was nice and fresh tasting and my mom had the tomato bisque which she loved and honestly smelled so good! It was covered in melted cheese - yum! We got dessert because of course we had to- all made in house and gluten free. I got the creme brûlée which was hands down the best creme brûlée I've ever had. You could see the vanilla bean flecks and it had a hint of saltiness which balanced out the creamy texture and sweetness nicely. My mom got the carrot cake which was multi layered and came with candied walnuts and caramel sauce. Our waiter was so unbelievably kind and attentive and personable. The restaurant had what appeared to be 3 main rooms. The bar looked gorgeous, we sat in one of the dining rooms which was simply decorated and a bit moody. The building itself is cool and they also had a nice outside area with beautiful twinkle lights. I'm so glad we randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and when we go back to Lancaster we'll definitely be back - prices were pretty fair! Overall, don't sleep on this!

Holy smokes Fireside Tavern, you hit it out of the park! For anyone who have kids and is gluten…read morefree, this place is fantastic! Upon entering we saw a table of books, crayons and drawing paper for the kiddos. We even got goldfish with our kids menus! What a dream for any parent having to bring our little rascals along to steal our food and complain about it too! Our server was absolutely wonderful even when dealing with our 2 unruly kids and a crying baby. Sorry about that. We were a party of 7 on a Saturday at 5pm. The menu looked wonderful with a ton of great options and our food came out so fast too, which is great when you have kids. We shared the poutine, which had a lot of tender meat, perfectly cooked crispy fries and a tangy and warm gravy. I would have liked more cheese, but I'm not complaining that much. I got the shrimp tacos, my kids got the kids cheese burgers, my wife got the crab cake sandwich and my friends got the onion soup, salad with steak and linguine with clams. For dessert, we shared the trio, carrot cake, mousse cake and crème brûlée. Everything was FANTASTIC! Fresh, perfect portions and absolutely delicious. I would come back here a million times. Bravo!
