I wanted to just wait in the shade until I got hungry again, then order another 5. Hot, fresh... LIGHTLY battered... The pickled red onion slaw topping just sets it all off in a very particular kind of way. My son and I ordered 8 fish and 1 marlin... I wanted to come back the next day and do it again. It was the kind of experience where you want to go as much as possible before it gets too popular and they have to raise their prices. Three bucks American for a fish taco that beats pretty much every other spot I've been to that's charging five bucks and some change. Doña taking orders was made me feel welcomed and appreciated. My Spanish is mas o menos at best, so it can be a little intimidating placing an order. She was patient with me and let me practice my español and even complemented my efforts. I will definitely be back soon.

My favorite were the fish tacos and the shrimp. Everything was fresh and made to order. The spicy shrimp had a crisp taco shell, and was really spicy. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. If you're craving authentic Hawaiian food, this is the place to go. I can't recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back again and again. Some of the best food I've ever had in SD. WOW!!!! Make sure to order all the amazing side sauces as you will be blown away. But, you know the food is good when you don't need a single sauce on top to make it incredible... they are delicious additions, though! Incredibly, amazing, and will be spending a regrettable amount of money here - you should too!

Wish bacon was more crispy but man this side dish was my meal and such a treat. Hubby said burger was dry but he went back and asked for Mayo and that helped he said. No hot sauce, he wanted something spicy. The Mexican food truck had some they let him have. That was nice. Daughter did not like the grilled cheese. We all tried it and it was way too oily tasting. But we aren't a fan of sourdough. Still it was really oily. The Mac n cheese on the grilled cheese didnt have flavor. Just more oily taste. We didn't eat it. But heads up if you like these type of grilled cheese you'll like it. A lot of places serve them oily and on sourdough like Panera bread etc. So just because we don't like that style doesnt meant you won't. She ate a lot of my fries and hubby went back and got another burger and she ate half. So all good. The fried Oreos weren't that good sadly. No crispy to it. More just soft and sugary. We like the crispy outer layer type. Will 100% bee line to this truck for the fries though. Sadly no tots. Would love to try the tots one day. I've asked the kids school to please bring this truck back for their school event. They use to have it but didnt last year. Well just got the line up for this year, they'll be back!!!! Gonna recommend ppl go get the fries, so good!!!!! Hope they have tots this year. If so we will get both!!!!! And I know my son will get the burger. Can't wait!!!! Sorry didn't get photos because it was dark and where we sat had no light.

I saved the last one towards the end of our meal because I was sad it was coming to an end. Definitely my favorite item of this trip. We also shared a large shrimp cocktail, fish flautas and Clamato. Shrimp cocktail had the perfect seasonings, salty and hint of sweet. Large is good as 1 meal or to share if trying different things. The fish flautas were good, they come with a fried fish inside. Not one of my top items of today but still good to try. The Clamato was so refreshing! Size is big for sharing, great flavor. Everything tasted very fresh which is so important, especially with the oysters. Staff was friendly and super welcoming! $66 for everything was decently priced 2 people sharing. Will definitely be visiting these guys again. *parking & seating - there are high tables and counter to eat on but no chairs.
