Walked into this place with my wife to get some pizza for dinner. Saw table seating and seating at the bar, we chose the bar right next to the cash register. There was no sign or anything that stated to seat yourself, order at the register, etc. So we sat there and waited, and waited, and waited. The girl working the register never said a word to us even though we were 2 feet from her. The multiple guys working behind her also never said a word to us. We were told by someone sitting next to us that we'll be helped if the cashier/waitress has the time, otherwise get up and stand at the register. Wow. We would have been fine with just a simple greeting or "I'll be with you as soon as I can" or maybe the lazy a$$ guys standing around could have gotten us a drink and a menu. Seemed like they didn't care for our money, so we got up and walked out. Don't bother with this place unless you're a local I would assume. Hopefully there are enough locals to keep them in business. The food at this joint is typically good, but the service is never too particularly outstanding. We waited for an order of cheese sticks for about 45 minutes, and after a bit of persuasion, they finally arrived. There were no apologies or explanations whatsoever. Well, my family and I hit this joint for a couple slices before our respective flights to LA and NY. My dad and I had the pepperoni, my mom had a salad. About 12 hours later, both my father and I were vomiting our brains out on opposite coasts. Fever, chills, bloating, nervous system stuff. I'm talking SEVERE food poisoning. We both deduced it was from that pizza (and the evidence in the toilet bowl supports this). It was tastey pizza, but I'm just glad I didn't end up in the ER. 2 days later and I'm just now able to walk. DON'T patronize this establishment. Decent pizza, but the staff is very unfriendly. I first tried them a year ago and they told me "we don't deliver out of town". I live less than 5 minutes away. So we picked it up and were not impressed. Mcclain's was better. Just tried them again and I got a surly guy on the phone that acted like I was ruining his day by calling. Fine. My fishing group stopped here for lunch a few days ago. The restaurant and staff were nice. The beer was cold, and the pizza was very good. It was a thin New York style, but it was not overly greasy and the crust was light and crisp at the edges. Good stuff, give it a shot. read more

The first time I went here the food was great and so was the service. Since then, the service has gotten extremely slow. It is ridiculous to have to wait forever for a salad, and slice of pizza that is just needed to be heated up. They are more concerned about serving the bar flies and the people sitting there with their families waiting for food spending more money. What really irritates me is the expectation of tips. You are not giving good service, you do not come to the table take my order and check on me. It is ridiculous that some people, when sitting next to a table of children still need to drop F bombs with every other word coming out of their mouth! I regret giving them a good first review! Solid NY style pie, GREAT craft beer (and domestic), and the new space is much nicer. Ketchum Wiseguy used to be the better choice, but no longer. More taps, more space, more ovens. There is a separate oven for slices now, which means the main oven is opened less, the deck stays hotter, and the pies get crunchier! Plus there is a wall size screen for hockey. They may play other sports if there is no hockey on. read more

Mostly workers come in here. They've got lunch pizza specials and tastes like pizza. I've brought my 4 year old daughter in here a couple times, and she likes the cheese pizza. Slices are big, soda machine works, and they have ice cream in a freezer. I don't know what it is about pizza and ice cream but my daughter always asks for some after pizza. read more

Ordered food today at 11:45 to have our staff fed during our very short lunch at 12:30. Show up to pick up the order to only find it had never been placed (in the kitchen) to begin with, have to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to make the pizza. Get our order back to the office and there is no dressing on the house salad that we ordered. Due to their error our staff didn't actually have lunch during lunch hour and someone didn't get lunch all together because of no dressing. Looks like all the 1 and 2 stars came from actually visiting the location and eating there, My 5 stars comes from a "pizza delivered" standpoint. It was actually really good pizza! And they quoted me a 30-35 minute delivery time, and they got it to my hotel room in about 20 min (they are 5 blocks away from the Wood River Inn where I am staying). And very, very friendly deliver guy who also REMEMBERED to bring 1) paper plates, 2) napkins...and 3) MOST IMPORTANT - parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers!! 10 stars for that home biscuit!!!!! But ya....pizza was good, cheesy cheese, fresh ingredients..etc. I don't know about the review that stated they got food poisoning, because I did not. But if you eat food period, you're bound to get food poisoning at some point in your life - whether at home or eating out. Anyways...hope that reviewer is doing okay and has recovered! Ordered 2 slices of heat up pepperoni pizza and a side salad. Service was excellent, timely and decent portions.

Pizza was OK, delivered to the table piping hot, albeit with nothing with which to serve it. A chicken Caesar salad was also OK, a bit heavy on the dressing. We stopped in on a Thursday night, and this must have been "locals night" as it was otherwise almost impossible to get the time of day from anyone. Order taker/manager was quite brusque, unless one was a local, in which case he had time for small talk. We had a table and the establishment knocked themselves out of additional business (e.g., more beer) by insisting the tab be paid at the time of order, and one must order from the counter. There are probably better, more tourist friendly places in Hailey to which to give your tourist dollars. read more

My husband and I had a bad experience at Wise Guy a couple months ago. Our food took over an hour, the pizza came out rectangle with all the toppings slid to one side and the wings weren't quite cooked through. They were really busy, and we'd had good experiences up til then so we decided to give it another try. Tonight we went in, they weren't busy, one other party in there. They did get busy while we waited. We watched people leave with food that ordered after us so I asked a girl working there if she could check on ours. She never came back. Five minutes later I caught her eye again and asked, she never came back. On the third attempt I think she recognized me and started to give me the wrong order. The cook finally stepped in to help. Turns out our pizza went out on someone's delivery. Meanwhile, we watched the girl clear tables then make pizza without washing her hands and constantly brushing her hands on her clothes...just gross. It took an hour for pizza and wings. Our wings came out burned, and there were not even 12. The pizza came out okay. For the money, don't waste your time...we won't again. read more
