Good businesses communicate pricing upfront and obtain customer approval before billing. After disputing the charge, I was threatened with having the account reported to collections and negatively affecting my credit. I also had concerns about whether the service was actually performed as claimed. Because of these concerns, I filed a complaint and requested documentation showing the work that was completed. I believe customers deserve transparency, clear communication, and proof of services before being billed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

During the process, I came in contact with about a half dozen team members, all of whom were friendly, professional, and personally concerned with our wellbeing. That was important because I found that ridding a home of rodents is not easily achieved. The initial step was to survey the house, seal potential entry sites, then set the traps. The HS team completed the process and set up an appointment to check the traps. after a couple visits, we still heard the vermin scratching around. So, HS brought in a senior inspector who found a few open areas I never would have thought to identify (openings between the outside wall and the foundation that were tucked up underneath the visible area). Those areas were sealed and within ten days, we no longer heard anything. I check of the traps today revealed a large intruder had been eliminated. Home shield performed like partners in our quest to eliminated rodents from our home. They came back as often as needed without complaint and escalated appropriately to assure our problem was solved. Expensive but not something you can ignore so we booked in with TP for a 2 night fumigation with trenching the day after they took the tent down. While everyone in person and on the phone was friendly they were very disorganized and gave conflicting advice, which we found frustrating. We expected special bags for our fridge/freezer foodstuffs but none was given so we had to clear our appliance out completely. We were given different dates and times, and received phone calls telling us the crew were on the way earlier, a week beforehand, and on the day of fumigation, then they called back to say they made a mistake and it was the original time. Hence the frustration as we were dealing with a dog, and my daughter working from home and being in office. We asked the company to call me only as my daughter couldn't answer her phone when on stage/office, but they kept on calling her and expecting instant answers. We were also told we had to contact the gas company to arrange shut off and turn on, then we were told TP would be doing it, then we were told to call the gas company at the last minute. They really need to communicate within their own business and work out a timeframe for fumigation so they can provide a consistent front to customers. They kept the house tidy when going into the crawl space in one of our bedroom closets, but outside they tread mud all over the walkway down the side of the house while putting up the tent and I had to clean the pathway afterwards.
