We were a few bikers looking for some beers and light food. The beer selection here was great and the sausage on Pretzel that I got was really good. Great place to hangout.

Amazing food. We tried the pulled pork, ribs and the brisket. Just perfect. The sides were very good as well especially the Mac and cheese. After we ate we went in the back of the building to admire the smokers. It is the real deal. The cook was very nice and showed us all the meats he was preparing for dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Great food. Brisket or pulled pork or anything. Good family' atmosphere fresh air patio. Priced fair. Good beverage selections. A real plus and difference from others in the area. Only look behind to see the real local smokers to see the quality

I love bbq, and this place hit all the right buttons. We ordered the combo plate which included brisket, ribs and sausage. Everything was so good. As soon as we got there we were seated and the waitress was quick to get our drink order and our food came out quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. Our food came with sweet potato fries and Mac-n-cheese. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

Slice brisket that is mostly fat. They sliced it and decided it was up to their standards.

Incredibly disgusting. We paid 45 dollars for a single pound of brisket. What we got instead was well over 50 percent solid fat. I am not exaggerating and I will attach a picture as proof. That makes the meat about $90 a pound by my math. I've eaten BBQ all my life. I own TWO smokers. I know what is normal. I know all brisket has some fat. This was the nastiest brisket I've ever been served. They could have trimmed this meat and put it aside for other brisket dishes like their brisket chili, brisket sandwiches, brisket sliders, brisket burgers, etc. But no. Somebody who works in the kitchen at the Wire Mill sliced this meat, looked at it, and said "Eh, good enough for our customers". Shame on them. On the bright side, HooDoo Brown BBQ is right up the street.

What a hidden gem! Wire Mill BBQ Saloon is tucked in downtown Georgetown, CT and definitely worth a detour. The inside has a cozy feel with all the hardwood and embraces the western style decor. There is also a string lit outdoor patio which is perfect for a nice evening. The service could not have been better - super kind and attentive staff. Now for the food... The BBQ Fries are a must. Just get them. They are hand cut fries with slow smoked and dry rubbed pulled pork covered in melted cheddar cheese. The ratio of everything was perfect as every bite, you could get a little of everything even by the end. The portion sizes of the platters were giant as well. We tried the smoked sausage which had a nice crispy outside and the pulled chicken which was moist and flavorful. They offer a variety of homemade bbq sauces - my favorite being the chipotle bbq. Definitely will be back!

Once again the Wire Mill did not disappoint. Food was great served quickly after ordering even though they were very busy. Our server Elizabeth was personable and answered all are questions. Will look for her next time we are there Thanks Elizabeth for making our dining experience so enjoyable

As good as a BBQ can get. The old Americana style is so welcoming. We got beef ribs that were absolutely delicious and perfectly smoked. Beef brisket and pull pork sandwich all great. Generous portions and great and engaging wait staff. I think I just stepped into a landmark.

Love this spot right down the road from me. Genuine great barbecue in welcoming, low keyed family environment with colorful local crowd, inside and outside seating, and musical and outdoor fire places.

I arrived with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30. There was plenty of outside seating. We sat and were greeted right away and told the specials but not told that there would be upcharges for some of them. We ordered and she wrote everything down. The drinks came out right away. We ordered fried pickles as an app and they were some of the best we all had ever had perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. The chipotle dipping sauce perfectly complimented them. My friend ordered the beef rib special and was told he could just order those and not part of the 2 meat platter which he said was fine but no mention of how much it cost. Our entrees arrived a few minutes letter. I had the two meat platter with brisket, smoked sausage, street corn and pepper mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was a bit dry and appeared like it was reheated and just cheese sprinkled on top not gooey and hot. The smoked sausage was the star of the show absolutely delicious. The brisket was also a bit dry and came with a horseradish sauce that complimented it. The street corn was good but not worth $8 for a side. My friend had the beef ribs which were HUGE and perfectly cooked. My other friend had the brisket plate with fries and they were super crispy fries we all loved. The cornbread was also VERY dry and could have used some kind of butter with it. For a BBQ place the meats didn't stand out to us. We received the check and had a bit of sticker shock. My friend had no idea the beef ribs were $50 which was fine but we were not told the price when told about the specials. I think for the size of the sides $8 is a lot as they were small for what they were. A band started playing outside as we were leaving which was nice and a lot of people arrived which if you don't like noise may bother you. I give 4 stars since the service was good but the food could use some slight improvements.

My wife and son were super excited to try barbecue at this famous local spot, but we definitely caught them on an off night. Reviews are mostly good for this place, so I guess timing and circumstances are at play. My wife ordered the peach cocktail and they were out. I ordered the RIBS, they were out !!! They didn't have the sausage for the combination platter and came out a couple of minutes later saying they had it (most likely just seared because the smoke was not there when we were eating). They were out of Brussel sprouts. They were out of MUSTARD !! I ordered a house pilsner they were out and I ordered another beer. Need i say more? On a good note they can barbecue. The brisket was very good. Great smoke ring and true winner. The pulled pork and chicken both had good smoke. Chicken was a bit on the dry side, but it was still good. Baked beans were good. My wife absolutely loved the cole slaw. Waitress was very good. Polite, apologetic and serviced us very well. We addressed our disappointment and hopefully by summer this famous BBQ spot can get back on track.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on South Street with its own private parking lot is this gem. What looks like a seemingly medium-sized house on the side of the street is this unique spot. Out back there are several smokers that are fed with wood on a regular basis. Once inside you'll see the rustic concept. Lots of wood everywhere and a pretty open concept. Directly in front of you is the circular bar and off to the left is the main dining room. The lighting is warm and inviting as well. Service: The whole staff really took care of us since we were a pretty big party. We had no issues whatsoever. Food: So I got to try A LOT of things here. I started off with the Just Peachy which is Crowne Royal Peach served with a whiskey-soaked peach and some sweet tea. It was deliciously well-balanced and simple with only 3 major ingredients. Next up was the Homestyle Honey Cornbread. This was very good, soft and simple, I do wish the butter was warmer though so that it was easier to spread. Next up was the Honey Sriracha Glazed Pork Belly. It was so soft, so tender, savory and flavorful. I loved the bit of char from the "skin" and the sweet/spiciness was a great addition. Next up was the Smokey Mac & Cheese that comes served in a super hot skillet and it was SUPER CHEESY, yet very thick as well. This was so delicious, peppery, a bit sharp, but I really enjoyed it. Next up were the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings which are an excellent menu choice for those that don't eat meat. They're served over a blue cheese coleslaw and this was an awesome idea! I was very impressed because coleslaw is usually made with mayonnaise, using bleu cheese was brilliant. The "wings" themselves were crispy and flavorful. Next up was the Farmboys Old Fashioned which is a twist on the original classic. In it is Basil Hayden Toast Premium Bourbon and other secret ingredients. This was delicious as well and was just a hint too sweet to me. Next up were the Super Sloppy Nachos. These are a concoction of melted cheddar, homemade cheese sauce, baked beans, ranch, BBQ sauce, scallions, jalapenos and pulled pork. You can get chicken instead if you wish. These were delicious and very straightfroward, but pretty heavy. I actually really liked the fresh jalapenos that provided a bit of a crunch along with the chips. Very good. Next up were the Brussels Sprouts which are served with crispy pork belly and hot honey sauce. I mean, I guess these aren't healthy as they once were anymore. Lol. These were straight though. I liked how they were cooked and the other flavors involved drowned out the actual Brussels flavor. Second to last was the beef brisket. It was amazing and was so incredibly tender. Just simply amazing. I don't have anything else to say. Lastly, the smoked wings. These were super tender and they still had a crispy skin! The smokey flavor was excellent and there were hints of Cajun, maybe creole in it as well. I loved these so much. Value: Barbecue is usually on a bit of the pricey side, but that's just the way it goes. The food usually takes a lot longer and time is money. That's about it. This place wasn't crazy though and the portions are big so you definitely get your money's worth. In conclusion, I really, really liked this place and just wish it were closer to me so that I could visit more often. However, if you're on that side of the state or not, make your way there to check them out!

Someone else at the table asked for it fatty, and that's how it came. I liked the Mac and cheese. M & C is very personal. If you ask 10 people how it should be made you may get 10 different opinions. I like mine a little creamier but this was good, nice and thick and tasted great. The only way you can get burnt ends is to get them in a beans and burnt ends dish. The beans were good but the burnt ends they put in the dish were tough and dry. After chewing and chewing some of the pieces I spit them out. I love collard greens. Collard greens are one of the reasons I go to BBQ joints. Here it comes......they cook the greens with something (hot sauce maybe?) to make them burn your mouth hot and spicy. Why would you ruin collard greens by making them so hot that you don't even taste the greens? They went into the trash. I hate hot and spicy. I've never been to a restaurant that did that. Really annoying. This place is not cheap, so don't expect "typical" BBQ restaurant prices. But it's in an upscale Westchester neighborhood so I suppose they charge what people are willing to pay. More power to them. Keeping a restaurant running is expensive and exhausting. I might return sometime and try their chicken. I'll have some more cornbread and M & C and try another side dish. I'll skip the collard greens. My order came quickly and the man taking my order was friendly and nice.
