Horrid service. When they installed the system they didn't tell us it was a subscription system until after all the wiring and installation was done. They put in a Control4 system. No communication on what they were going to put in. We want to simply listen to music using our cellphones a remotes. They won't let you do that. You get on clunky controller that will work. The old system could be controlled by laptop tablet or phones. read more

I wanted to outline a recent experience I had with Sean and Lee from Wipliance that I thought was definitely worth recognizing. Over the past several years I've worked with them on the installation of an outdoor sound and video system as well as installation of outdoor shades for our upper and lower decks. They've done those jobs professionally and to a high level of quality, but you'd expect that working with a high end AV company. Recently while cleaning out an IT closet, we came across a number of items that were ordered on our behalf but ended up not being used during our installation. They had been sitting in our closet for the past four + years. Initially I was upset about why we had purchased these items if they weren't going to be used. During the course of the install parameters changed and I guess they became unnecessary. When I reached out to the company, even with the amount of time that had lapsed, they gave me full credit for these items and gave me my money back. Says alot about the company to me. When it came time to change our new TV, Sean came to our home to assess the situation. He spent a good amount of time advising us on the different models and what our requirements are with respect to our setup, which was very helpful in making our decisions. Tim , the lead technician, installed the new TV and coordinated the install of a new remote. He also realized we needed to upgrade our WiFi system which ended up enhancing reception for the entire house! Tim and Sean are real pros at what they do and we felt secure working with them. The only saving grace is Obot, the low voltage arm of Wipliance. It seems like the positive reviews come from folks getting new systems installed. That's where the reps focus and NOT in cultivating long term relationships. Sean, our first rep, was abysmal. I'll leave it at that. Well,maybe I'll mention that he badmouthed another high-paying customer to us. But they'll happily take their money while disparaging them to other customers like us. Service is horrible. The designer was difficult to work with because she doesn't follow though. She doesn't get back to you when she says she will. She says she will bring fabric samples to your home and doesn't. There are an other companies to work with! read more

Horrible service. When you could get ahold of them was told service calls were 90 days out. That got even worse when the system went down, can't even get a return call or email, zero support. Called out another A/V company, Jaymarc, said the system was of such poor quality, and chaotic install, they preferred not to work on it, sub standard equipment put in with rolls and rolls of duck tape, rolls of cabling dangling between equipment that was sitting on top of each other, only requiring 4-6 inches of cable, not 10 or 20 feet rolled up. I worked directly with Lee and he was great. I didn't think they would want to help with a small project since I was just looking for a TV, sound bar, and a couple of Sonos amps. They usually do high end audio, video, and automation systems. Lee was awesome and turned me on to brands I hadn't considered before. He was very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. The pricing was on par with any box store and online but the service was way better. Wipliance will now be my first and only call when looking for anything relating to Audio/Video/Automation. It might be good for commercial, high end, really technical, fancy stuff, but for what I needed done (Hanging a TV on a mount, with the wires run through a tube behind the wall), I felt the price quoted was unfair. I was quoted max 6 hours for install and $60-$75 in misc. parts, plus the cost of cables, plus the cost of the mount. My neighbor ended up doing it for me, and did a GREAT job, looks perfect and it cost 40 dollars in supplies (including an amazing Cheetah mount for up to 165 lb TV) and took less than 1 hour. We needed to change the bulb in our ceiling mounted Screenplay 3205 home theatre projection system. Shane came out - he was very courteous and careful with his tools, ladder. After loosening many security screws/bolts, he had to remove the projector and install the new bulb/housing unit. After reattaching the projector to the ceiling, Shane spent an extra 10-15 mins making sure the projection fit the 90 inch screen perfectly (it's hard to do - I've tried many times :-)) - as well as tweaking all the control/focus buttons. I've dealt with many home stereo/theatre vendors and there's no question who I will call in the future. Shane and Wipliance did and OUTSTANDING job. read more

We used Wipliance to purchase and install a new receiver, projector, motorized screen, and make some long in-wall wiring runs. They were attentive to our requests, and the pricing was fair. They really went above and beyond on service though. We actually had a problem with our screen, which they resolved promptly and professionally. Then, the screen got a hole in it from a kids party that got a little out of hand. It wasn't even close to their fault - when I asked about patching options, they instead worked with the manufacturer to get the screen replaced for free. I was blown away that they even tried that, it was far beyond what I was expecting to happen. Could not recommend them more strongly - they stand behind what they sell 110%. read more

I highly recommend Wipliance. They replaced my old outdated centralized automation system (Phast) while giving me better control of my Audio (8 zones), my Lighting (with programs to turn lights on at dusk, and set up several lighting scenes), and my Security (replacing my legacy panel and getting me on a system I can Arm/Disarm and monitor from my iPhone). They also installed a Ubiquiti system to spread my Internet reception evenly on the 3 floors of my 1903 Seattle house, and installed a Ring Doorbell and Chime. Finally, they had a good (and lower cost) solution to getting Audio outside for parties, using Bluetooth and a great portable speaker (SoundCast) - far better than running wires underground. The Spec/Estimate was done professionally and quickly, with sufficient detail that we knew which light switches were 2-way, 3-way, etc - so both the bid and the installation was accurate. They sent in both Electricians and Low-Voltage folks to do the work, and they worked well together to get it done quickly and efficiently. The installation guys were great, and you could tell they all worked cooperatively and liked working with one another. The few times they had to pull wires (to power the mesh/repeaters for Internet), they did it with zero wall damage. I'm very happy with the results. I also talked to two other local companies about the work, and Wipliance seemed to me to be the most customer-focused. They listened to me and clearly understood that I did not want a centralized system like before. Now, most of the solution is Wireless and is far less likely to become Legacy and unsupported down the road. So, high marks on listening to my needs, and on executing on the agreed plan in a cost-effective and professional way. Wipliance does amazing work, on time and on budget and you get to marvel at the completed work. 2 Hi-tech techs, Grant and Justin came and went in about 5 hours completing one of the more amazing setups for mixed media use leaving no trace of the setup only the final creation. The setup is quite amazing but it is their knowledge base, the connecting various systems and projecting your future use with today's media products that will prepare you for tomorrow. 12 years ago they set up my original system and today they set up for the next 12. Just an update... Wipliance did a large commercial job for us and were fantastic. It involved 7 high resolution security cameras that can be accessed from the web. All have recording devices. Mounting locations were difficult and FIOS needed to be brought in. They worked well with all parties involved and the end result is awesome!!! When we moved into our home 3 years ago, the previous owners had done some amazing things with all of the lighting in almost every room. The only downside: every room required you to turn on between 3 and 6 lights, and all had dimmer options. (I know, first world problems.) We had Wipliance come in and update all of the lights so that with one button, all of the lights would come on with the right dimmer settings all at the same time. For example, now our kitchen light panel has "dining, "morning", "media" so the lights are set according to the activity we are doing. With this update, I really feel like I'm getting all of the value out of all the great lighting in my home. We also had them add motion sensors to the hallways and bathrooms. When my mother visits, I always worry about her tripping around in the dark. Now, the hallway light comes on for her and that worry is relieved. The crew was great to work with. It was easy to coordinate with them to find dates when they could work in our home and they were incredibly respectful of our home and family (and animals) while they were here. I will first tell you that I know enough to "be dangerous" when it comes to video and technology and the best way to describe Wipliance is that they are crazy knowledgable, and they won't take advantage from a cost or billing standpoint. Shaun listened carefully to the problem, sent Grant out to consult. He arrived promptly, and the problem was fixed in no time.
