Great smoked King Salmon -- almost as good as mine. I'm…read moretaking the remaining of my 2025 Coho down for smoking as I believe it will taste great and last for some time. It's moist, flavorful, and not overly salty. Perfect for anyone who doesn't like a heavy smoke or a salt‑bomb of a salmon. Great for old people. Their smoked oysters are unbelievable. Absolutely top‑tie. Hopefully they took my Norwegian advice -- I'm still the best smoker around, but they're a close second. I'm cooking their bratwurst now, and they look fantastic. They've got a little kick, they're incredibly moist, and they plump up beautifully when cooked. So many brats lack proper fat infusion -- not these. They nailed it. Just the right amount. I haven't tried the Ribeye or Tenderloin yet, but I expect they'll be just as flavorful. Conclusion: This place is outstanding. At the very least, try their smoked King Salmon. It's wild, not farmed, and it's phenomenal. I highly recommend stopping by and trying their Oysters and/or Smoked Salmon.

I had read some great reviews from others who loved what Sweeney's had to offer. I picked up a package of German and a package of Beerbrats. It made a great dinner along with some toasted sourdough bread. While window shopping I purchased some bacon and summer sausage. If you are a carnivore then you should consider a trip to Sweeneys! I asked about the opportunity for special orders for holidays and they have smoked turkey and other meat treats to please.

A friend of mine suggested this place, it had been on my list for some time, but I honestly forgot…read moreabout it. This place is the best example of how you can overcharge when your service and product far exceed expectations. I can tell you that I couldn't tell you the difference between corned beef or pastrami and never really cared. I don't like corned beef and if you can believe it, I've never had pastrami before. I had a half of Pastrami Dip. It came with chips, potato salad, a pickle spear and hydrox cookie. The half of sandwich had twice the meat that you would get on a full-size Arby's dip. The potato salad was about 3 oz, which was plenty based on everything you got with the dip. At $20 it would be easy to call the meal a rip off, but the quality, portion and flavor made it well worth it. My only know what the bottle of Snapple at $4 Those bottles are $2.50 or 2/$4 at 7-11 and the 6 pack is often on sale for $5 at Safeway, so at 2x minimum, I thought it was too much, especially since the place didn't have water, your only beverage choice had a cost. The beef was super tender. The flavor wasn't life-changing, but it was clear, their roasting process infused flavor. The au jus was r ally good, could have used some salt to offset the lightly seasoned beef, but it still worked. The service was flawless and welcoming. It was clear they were concerned about eat diners experience. I would have rather had fries instead of potato salad and chips, but if I return, maybe I'll try one of the burgers since they come with fries. No rush to return, but that doesn't change that this is an under the radar spot that you should give a try.

A place where you go to get a d*mned good sandwich. We ordered a Philly steak sandwich and a Reuben. Both sandwiches were intimidating in size. Flavor-wise, they packed a serious punch. Both sandwiches were loaded down with meat and were cooked to perfection. If you want a seriously good sandwich, this is your place.

I am writing this with a super heavy heart!…read more We used to get our meats at the Queen Anne location and LOVED their quality and service. We recently started going to one of their locations outside of Seattle whenever we were in the area. The service remains flawless. It's one of the few butcher shops that consistently deserves a tip but they are always a bit extra! This week, we did a perfect surf & turf : wagyu steak and Chilean sea bass - complete with accompaniments. The fish was flaky and the steak was perfectly seasoned, seared and medium rare. As I was setting up drinks, I was the last one at the table. The steaks were sitting there and everyone had stopped eating. When I asked how it was, I was told "Try it, tell us what you think". I sliced into the steak. It looked amazing. I bit in. BUT afte a chew, I stopped eating it. The beef was definitely 'off' andd spoiled - which explained why no one was eating it. Fortunately, it was surf & turf night so we still had enough to eat. But after paying wagyu prices and lovingly cooking the steak, the disappointment was beyond words. Obviously I will call the store as I want to make sure they pull the remaining inventory from theirr display. At this point, my husband is worried as he had three bites as he presumed the aftertaste was from the truffle sauce I had drizzled. Now, he's worried that he will get sick. I guess time will tell. So FYI --- make sure you check the original dates of the meat before they cut/vaccum seal. Long story short - I hope they read this and review their QA processs to ensure all meats are dated/rotated/stored.

You can see where we stood in the picture I posted of the shops' entrance. A group had been standing in the exact same spot just before us, so we didn't think we were in anyone's way. We also didn't realize this area was shared with the butcher shop because 1. we didn't see it 2. we are not Seattle locals and only came for Eggslut. My boyfriend's little brother briefly leaned back against the meat shop's display case, and the owner immediately snapped: "Do me a favor and get your butt off my case." His brother got off the case right away, but the owner continued to mutter "fucking rude". He stared us down and started shooing us away with his hands, literally saying "Get." like we were animals. We stepped aside, but he kept staring us down. I asked him, "What are you looking at? What do you want us to do?" He escalated things further and said: "Do you want me to come find your house?" Absolutely inexcusable to say to anyone, let alone a young woman. When my boyfriend said, "You could have been nice about it." He said, "I don't have to." This wasn't just a reminder about his equipment, it was the tone, the hostility, and the lack of basic respect. No one came into the building after us, so we were not obstructing anyone from going to his business. We were simply waiting for our food and were met with aggression from this man. He does not deserve any business after such a lack of basic decency.

Beware of this behavior when you step anywhere near his business, especially families and POC. Eggslut employees also mentioned that he is a "serious" person. Maybe he is salty that people are only coming inside for Eggslut, not to buy his meat...unfortunate.
