I NEVER thought I'd see the day II would give a W-D anything more than two or three stars. This however is obviously (to me at least) an exception rather than the rule. I say so because it reflects the reality of this store...a TRUE exception to the brand. The store is somewhat well organized with wide, clean aisles and well marked departments. I didn't bother too much with bakery or deli, but they seemed adequate enough, albeit with minimal variety. There are two sets of shorter aisles in lieu of one set of very long aisles. A third longitudinal aisle bisects the place all the way across making for shorter trips on more aisles rather than nearly as many in the longer aisles one generally finds in grocery stores around here. There's a more pronounced selection of ethnic and international stuff than what I normally see at W-D. There's even a good sized kosher section full of overpriced (but theologically correct) groceries. It is apparent that the store caters to the vast multitudes staying in all the resort properties around here whilst blowing their budgets of bucks, Euros, Pesos, Rials, Rupees, Rubles, Yen, Yuans or Pounds Sterling on ridiculously rich rodents or wondrously wealthy whales. That said, I did enjoy my trek thru here and thumbing my nose at the granddaddy grocer in the green getup from the sunshine state. Cashiers seemed friendly too, as is not always the case with W-D. The store, as alluded to earlier, is very clean, quite big and totally un-Winn-Dixie-like. If you're also coming to spend time in the shadows of these theme parks and prefer to do your own cooking, etc. then this is a good alternative! read more

On our 10 day stay in the area we hit up the grocery store twice, a Publix the first time and this Winn-Dixie mid stay. The prices at Winn-Dixie were much better; and it seemed they had a larger variety/selection as well. We also hit up the deli section and selected x6 varieties of chicken wings. It was early and these batches were fresh out of their ovens. The wings were average to large size and they were all cooked to perfection. We ate cold wings, after our initial dinner with them still hot, over the next couple days and they were still great. Overall the prices were about the same as in SoCal, so I don't know if that is because it is located in the tourist area, or SOP for all their stores; albeit the wings were definitely cheaper. read more

This place is sooo unorganized especially if it's your first time here. The aisle signs will say one thing on one side and then you look at the other side of the sign and it's something completely different. They made a "closing" announcement at 8:40PM saying they're closing in 20 minutes. But Yelp and Google say they close at 10. (Not sure if this was because it was Christmas Eve or what). So as expected, everyone rushes to the front and we wait in line for over 40 minutes. The lady at the register, bless her heart. It was her first day and they had her working a 13-14 hour shift with only one 30 minute break. Mind blown. They're overworking their staff and it's absolutely unacceptable. The other employees that were helping her were extremely rude and just seemed so annoyed by her. My heart broke for her and I hope management does better. read more

If you're a local, chances of shopping at Winn-Dixie are slim as for many of us, Publix is superior. I been to Winn-Dixie maybe 2x and I don't think it's really that cost effective to shop here. The grocery store itself is nice and clean. In terms of customer service, the cashiers are friendly for the most part. One thing to mention - they have lots of kosher items for those that have that dietary preference. The store is never really busy so there is always plenty of parking. Winn-Dixie offers a reward club where you can earn extra savings if you sign up on their website or app. This store is located close to Disney so for tourists it might be worth coming here. read more

Hmmm, not much to say about this place. It caters to a very certain time of clientele and apparently that's how most Winn Dixie's are? Anyway, when we went in, it was very quiet. Then again, we stopped in during breaks from spending time at the Parks. This store is MAAAASIVE! Very large store. I swear the individual aisles seemed liked half a mile long lol. They basically have everything you need. Prices are reasonable. I'd mention the staff, but I only interacted with one lady who worked in the bakery. My fat ass REALLY wanted doughnuts for the following morning. I asked if they sold individual doughnuts, she didn't understand English very well. So I picked up a pack of six and asked "uno" and pointed at the doughnuts. She said "no, no, just that" I was sad that I left....with nothing hahaha! I noticed every grocery store we went into...didn't sell individual doughnuts... that sucked lol. I'm not trying to talk shit here, BUT...ok, so I realize that I'm in Florida (or was in Florida)... It's a very diverse state. LOTS of Spanish speaking folk. That's fine, but how can u work with the public if you can't understand basically any English? And some of them actually got mad at ME because I didn't speak Spanish. It was weird. This lady was very sweet tho, I just think if you're gonna be working on the floor, with face to face customers, you should be able to understand some of the basics. I walked to this store hoping to find some organic produce I could bring back to my hotel. The only fresh produce I found that was organic was baby carrots and cherry tomatoes. Nice clean store with wide aisles that were wide enough for an employee to push a pallet through (the aisle) with enough room for two people to walk on either side. I know, because a face mask-wearing employee had pushed a pallet of sodas into the soda and water aisle, and I could easily walk by him. Btw, why did you have to restock in the middle of the day? Anyhow, I came here to pick up some bottled Dasani water because the water at the hotel where we stayed had awful tasting tap water. I grabbed a package of Dasani and went to the checkout lines. Hmmm ... no one was at any of the regular checkout lines, so I went to the only line that was open - at the self check out. Another masked employee actually said Hi to me and pointed to one of the registers. Easy check out! One thing that I noticed was that all employees and customers were wearing masks. Great job, folks! Free and available parking close to the store, wide clean aisles (except for the aisle with the pallet in the middle of it) and quick check out because there were maybe 6 other customers in the whole store. read more

I used to live across the street from this location and it always served me well. The employees are friendly and helpful when you ask for assistance. On our most recent visit we were on the hunt for a particular product and the gentleman working in the bakery took the time to check the inventory in the back to see if they had what we needed. Sadly they didn't have it, but it meant a lot that he took the time to look instead of just playing it off and just saying that they didn't have it They offer many great buys and if you have a Plenti card you earn points with your purchase towards different rewards. I was initially going to give this particular Winn Dixie 3 stars, but due to its convenience for tourists, I went ahead and gave it 4 stars. We come down to Disney at least once a month (usually more) and when we do, we always bring our snack items, canned drinks, etc. with us from Jacksonville, but when we need cold items that need to be placed in the fridge, we always make a pit stop here before heading to our resort. As is typical with stores in O-Town located close to Disney, you're smacked with a huge touristy section right when you walk in the store. So many Disney items from plushes to beach towels, toys, t-shirts, and even pajamas. There's also other items you may need such as sunscreen, sun glasses, swim suits (yes, you read correctly, swim suits in a grocery store), pool items like goggles and toys, etc. This area actually takes up a pretty good section at the front of the store. On our last visit here, I needed lettuce b/c I've been on a bit of a salad kick lately. I even packed a bowl, fork, knife, etc. The bags of Dole lettuce were worse than pathetic. The expiration was for the next day and they were all brown and wilted. I ended up having to get a head of lettuce which was just a pain and not nearly as convenient. They do have a pretty good (and large) beer and wine selection. They even have a "Create your own 6 pack" beer sample of craft beers. If you're looking for hard liquor or a better wine selection, there's an ABC Liquor store directly in front of this store in the same parking lot. The store is clean, organized, and well-lit. You'll find pretty much any grocery product you're looking for here at normal Winn Dixie prices. The prices are right on the mark with what we pay at any Winn Dixie in jacksonville or other areas of O-Town which aren't as touristy. It is hard to find help in here if you're trying to find something and can't. Even when the store is completely dead, finding an employee can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Last visit, we actually had to go to customer service to track someone down help us locate an item. Granted, once you find an employee, they are all very friendly and all smiles, but good luck with finding one. So, the ruined lettuce and the difficulty in finding employees would normally have knocked this down to a 3 star rating for me. But, as I mentioned, the convenience to Disney, the cleanliness, and the good prices made me feel ok with giving it 4 stars. TIP: If you want to do some movie watching, there is a Redbox located just inside the entrance to the store. read more

Just moved to the area. First time shopping at this location and I was met with an unprofessional individual. It was a Monday night right before closing (3/22), I ran in to grab some meats to stock my fridge. I remembered having a raincheck from the Winn Dixie near my previous residence. This location had the item in stock so I thought I will see if I can use it here. Got up to the register, I asked the girl if I can use my raincheck. She said 'We haven't give out raincheck here in months' I replied 'It's from a different store, I just moved here.' She said she had to check with someone. Next thing I know, this older gentleman came up and said 'You have a raincheck? We haven't give out raincheck since covid.' I said 'It's not from this store.' He asked to see the raincheck. I hand it to him. He looks at it front and back and says 'This is a photo copy and we're not gonna accept it!' I said 'it's the original raincheck, handwritten from Winn Dixie.' He then said again that it's a copy and walked away as I was still speaking to him. I understand if this location isn't accepting any rainchecks at all and he just needed to tell me something along the lines of, 'I apologized, but this location isn't accepting any rainchecks due to ......... reason' That would have been totally fine by me. Produce was less than fresh, meats looked brown an unappetizing, we were suprised when a 3 pack of chicken breasts were $15+. We left our cart and drove to publix in Kissimmee. This location is very close to downtown Disney and I always seem to find my way here to stock up on everything. In fact, I'm enjoying a nice beer that I just purchased here while enjoying some free hotel wifi. I parked two rows away when I saw him and then he started walking to my car. I didn't want to deal with it so I backed my car out of the spot And he started chasing me. Really? I just pretended I didn't see him and parked 7 rows on the other side. While I was walking in he actually got some cash from another poor shopper and he walked in with me and went right for the beer. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They should have a little better security out here with all of the families around. The 16 year old cart kid seemed a little afraid of him too. This place also has a giant sand castle in the store. I think Corona is the sponsor because bottles of corona surround it. I call that Marketing! They also have an aisle of Disney souvenirs which are cheaper then the park. 7 bucks for a little Minnie doll or 14 for the medium Minnie. They even have umbrella strollers here...very smart Mr Dixie or can I call Winn? I was able to get our breakfast, lunch and dinner for tomorrow and future snacks for only 24 bucks not including the beer the beer will not see midnight tonight. All of those meals at Disney would cost us around a 100 bucks but we are going to get ice cream and popcorn for the parade...it's turning into a tradition. Yes stock up on snacks here and drinks. Woohoo! I'm going to Disney World! While in Orlando on my little Disney getaway, I figured it would be nice to have a few basic provisions for the hotel room. A quick search showed this Winn-Dixie as 1 of the closest grocery stores to Disney World. So, after my exploration of Downtown Disney, it was off to the Winn-Dixie. This Winn-Dixie is a fairly typical supermarket. It's pretty large & has a wide selection of groceries, household goods & pharmacy items. It's also clean & brightly lit. I did notice 2 deviations from the generic supermarket model, however: 1 of my sought provisions was liquor. This store does carry wine & beer, but does not carry hard liquor. I would have to say customer service was good because when I asked an employee about the liquor, he did point out a liquor store across the parking lot that did have what I was looking for. I decided beer was acceptable after all, so I just got that. Another slight variation from most supermarkets was a good amount of Disney items & other items an out-of-towner might need in sunny, hot Orlando. Somehow, I hadn't pack any swim trunks, but wanted to go swimming. This Winn-Dixie came through in a pinch with a decent collection of swim trunks. Winn-Dixie is a fine example of a typical supermarket with a couple twists. Though they didn't have the booze I wanted, they do have beer & wine & they did surprisingly have the swim trunks that I was expecting to have look elsewhere for. I had entered the Winn Dixie Store, and as I was standing facing the shopping carts trying to pull one lose that was stuck together. The next thing I knew, the employee had entered the door with a load of shopping carts..approx. 10-15, and rammed them into my back, as though he was trying to ram the shopping carts into the other ones. I started yelling STOP, and fell to the floor, my head and my backside hit the brick wall, injuring my neck, shoulders, spinal area, mid section of my back, and the lower part of my back down to my buttocks. As the employee continued pushing the shopping carts as I laid on the floor screaming in pain. The employee walked over and looke down at me and said I am sorry and walked away. A customer asked the employee as he boldly walked away, asked is that all he is going to say is I am sorry. Can't you at least help the lady up or check and see if she is OK. The employee kept walking and said out loud, "I said I am sorry". As I laid there for a few minutes, a couple of Winn Dixie employees finally came over and asked if I was OK, and ask if I can get up. I told them to wait a minute, that I was in severe pain. Two female employees helped me get up, and a few minutes later, the store assistant manager by the name of Chris came over. He ask if I was OK, and I told him NO. He ask if I wanted him to call EMS. I told him to wait, please, it was embarrassing enough that that horrific accident is now causing a scene. Several witness tried to explain to the manager what had happen, but Chris wasn't trying to hear them. He said OK, and sent them on their way. He did not write their names down or anything. After a few minutes had gone by. Chris ask that he take me to the office. I tried to go, but felt faint, so he found a chair and I sat there until EMS arrived. I ask Chris if he is going to do an incident report. He found a yellow writing pad, and wrote my name and cell phone number down. He did not write the incident as it occurred. I ask Chris to write the report so that I can get a copy of the report. Chris told me that someone from Risk Management will contact me within 48 hrs. The EMS arrived and I was taken to Dr. Phillips emergency room. Because, Winn Dixie was hesitant about taking care of the emergency room treatment. The staff in the emergency room treated me like crap. After the x-rays were taken. I was released... I phoned Chris at Winn Dixie and ask if he would cover the cab far for me to get back to my vehicle. He told me that once he wrote the report, that it was out of his hands, and I had to wait for Risk Management to contact me. I then ask, if I can get my prescriptions filled at Winn Dixie, he told me that he could not authorize anything. I am beyond myself. Today, I heard from Winn Dixie's claims department, and I was informed that Winn Dixie will not authorize any medical treatments. And, I was told by one of the witness, that an employee in the deli was very upset because the accident in their store caused them from receiving the store's $3,500 bonus. The employee was more concerned about their bonus than my accident in their store caused by "their" employee. read more

If you are staying in Disneyworld, this is a good grocery store to go to. The prices are reasonable. We ordered the Winn-Dixie loyalty card before we went to Disneyworld. For 1 adult and 2 tweens staying at Disney's Pop Century, we made two trips to the grocery store in a week, spending about $80 total. We saved over $30 with the loyalty card. It has a chicken wing steam table with at least 6 different flavors of wings. It was $5.99/lb. This was lunch for us twice. The wings were good hot or cold. 2-lbs of wings and some salad were enough for three of us for each meal. We put together a number of meals of sandwiches and salad and ate them in our hotel room. We also bought juice boxes, other drinks, breakfast foods, bread, treats, and tons of fresh FRUIT. We bought five 1/2 gallons of milk here, too. But you can buy milk for the same price at the Disney hotels' food courts or sundry store. It wasn't in our budget to have too many sit done meals and we get tired of quick service meals fast. We ate a few quick service meals but saved most of our food budget for a few nicer sit down meals during the week. read more
