My family and I came to this supermarket a few times during our stay in Kissimmee. This supermarket is big and has everything you need for your basic breakfast or lunch needs. All aisles are well stocked, the space is clean, great lighting, the food service area has a small selection of prepared hot foods yet still fulfilling for most peoples needs, especially their homestyle fries which are pretty darn good, as per my family members, the chicken fingers are also delicous. The checkout experience is quick, and painless, although I did find a few items I purchase back home a bit pricier but it was needed so we had to have it. This supermarket is a great assett to the area especially when staying at a rental home. read more

Publix is a chain grocery store with several locations throughout the United States. This particular location is in busy Kissimmee, Florida just a few miles from the Disney parks. We was in town for my daughters cheer comp and This was the closest grocery store near us so we stopped here a few times for groceries and necessities. Pricing here was pretty good. They do a lot of buy one get one deals. We have a large family so it actually wasn't bad for us being on vacation as we need bulk. Store was well stocked and cleaned and we found everything without any issues. Overall a nice store and I enjoy Publix locations. We do not have any in my hometown of Lousiville yet. But they would be a welcomed addition. read more

This was our first visit to Publix and we could have picked a better location. This was a relatively small store and a little run down. That being said, it had a delightful assortment of options and we wish we'd been staying somewhere that would have let us heat up food so we could have tried even more of their store brands. We picked up sandwiches in the deli and we wish they'd had condiments with it, too. (Strange, right?) That being said, the cake slice we picked up was yummy. We'll definitely give Publix another try when we're in the southeast because we know it's just like an H-E-B. read more

This is a very nice Publix near our accommodations. It has most of what our local Publix has, but it also has Disney and local area attraction souvenirs. The personnel are friendly and the store is bright and clean. Wednesday night, 522/24, I got a bag of ready made salad for $3.34 and Husband got a finely crafted sub for under $7 for dinner. The gentleman making his sub was an artist, making sure that it looked as good as it tasted. We will definitely return next time we are in the area! read more

Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This particular Publix isn't deserving of a one star vote from me. I'm in Kissimmee for a week to visit my pregnant daughter. We are staying in a beautiful resort and chose Publix to shop for the week. I spent $263, and purchased an insulated cold bag from the frozen food section so my food would stay at a safe temp til I made the drive back to the condo. After paying, I noticed the bagger had not packed anything in the cold bag. I was in a hurry so I figured I'd just put them in the insulated bag at my car trunk. WELLLLL...... the cold bag wasn't even in the cart at all! I checked my receipt, yes, I paid for it, and it did me no good because my fudgesicles are melting, and I have $27 worth of salmon at a very unsafe temp. The bagger had also put in canned goods with my fresh fruit! Seriously, who in their right mind does that??? It bruised 3 nectarines, and pierced the skin of 2 red pears. This morning, my frozen Grands biscuits were completely stuck together. You can't pry those things apart without breaking a knife, and I'm at a resort, I don't have my own knives. My hamburger meat looked great on the outside, but was old and dark on the inside and smelled so bad that I threw it away. I have NEVER wasted so much money on groceries before. Unfortunately, this makes me not want to even trust a Publix in my own area. So, if you're visiting near Disney, my advice is to shop elsewhere for groceries. read more

First time at a Publix grocery store...heard so many great things about the store and the sub sandwiches so had to make a trip while on our WDW vacation. Shout out to Dennis W. who was so patient in making our sandwiches and packing all the condiments on the side. He has a positive attitude and great customer service! I loved the Mickey Mouse section in the store as usual, u walk in If you've been in one Publix you've pretty much been to all of them. They also have a separate florist section, which is massive compared to the other publix stores that have a florist area. The layout is a lot different, but just like every Publix, it was immaculate and well-maintained. I had no issues finding what I was looking for and there was somebody wiping me carts with a sanitizer; everybody was practicing social distancing. read more

Publix While visiting the sunshine state for a week I frequented this supermarket as we stayed in a nearby resort with a full kitchen including an oven. Florida is Florida meaning lots of families either visiting or residents so it's likely that it's normal for the children carts to be out. Our first of our four trips in we were able to score the race car cart . The boys are intrigued with those type of carts and it keep them entertained while I shop. The second through fourth visit in we were not as lucky as it appears they only have 4-5 total. They should re-evaluate that with it being so close to so many family resorts. The customer service was amazing from the guys in the aisles stocking items to the cashiers to the cart staff. There are many Publix stores however my experience brought us back to this location each time. read more

If you're visiting Orlando and need a few items, this is my go-to recommendation aside from the big blue monster of long lines and waits at multiple U-Scan registers. Love Publix. Its a bright grocery store and this being near Disney has splashes of Mickey everywhere which makes me happy. And I recently discovered that I love, love, LOVE their gallons of Unsweet tea. It is super refreshing, clean tasting, and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. If that makes sense. They have made to order subs which I love and the bread is great. They also offer Boar's head for their subs which is where its at for me! They have a lot of good beer and wine options so it can be a one stop shopping for all of your vacation home needs. We stop there pretty often when we're at our "home" away from home and I am so grateful this is right near us. read more

Pros: Great big bakery, full service deli, SUPER DUPER nice people, buy one/get one sales staff members will load your groceries into your car and bring the cart back in for you, wide selection of everything! Accepts returns of unused items and this came in handy for us out of towners that didn't use some of the items we purchased here for our week stay and they gave us zero trouble returning items. Cons: pricing. Everything non-grocery is costly. Produce is good quality but quite expensive. Go to target across the street for your paper towels, laundry detergent, cosmetics, lotions, toiletries and soap. read more

This is my least favorite location in the area. I do understand it's right outside of a very large resort with lots of employees and guests, but the service isn't what I've come to expect from the Publix name. I generally try to come before 11:30 to beat a lunch rush at the Deli, but today the staff seemed to have a lack of care. Evita at the deli didn't seem to show any care about the person she was serving. I witnessed her starting off into the store while asking what the customer wanted on his sub rather a warm smile and eye contact. There didn't seem to be a sense of urgency at all. Even paying at customer service, the rep was very "ho hum." The store is generally clean for being a busy location. read more

This Publix SUCKS. They have the SLOWEST people working the sub station. Seriously, it should not take 15 minutes to make one sub but it's happened to me multiple times. And they aren't careful with how they make them at all. I'm used to our regular Publix that makes a sandwich like they would like it made for themselves. This lady, Patti, is just...horrible. She's nice, but Jesus, slow and sloppy is how she makes subs. I get that it's a busy place being right near Disney, but maybe plan for that by putting more than one of your slowest workers at the sub station. read more

The store looks very nice and clean in the inside. The employees customer service was great. We spend $16 on catfish from seafood department. We went to cook the next day it was spoiled. My friend bought some sort of exotic fruit. The next day the thing was molding. We are staying at a resort near by. Came to get things four times already. We tried their maple bourbon roasted chicken. It is very good. Wish my regular grocery store had that. We got a big Ultimate sandwitch anitger day. It was very big and very tasty for only about $8.00. Another day we picked up a cheese cake from the bakery in the store. The very friendly bakery staff told us it was very good. I really loved this particular cheese cake. Got a few fruits and vegetable items. They were all very fresh and reasonably priced, Only one thing holding me back from 5 stars, we stopped twice for a daily special, and they were not served. Kills me to do this. I've been at this publix a million times and over the last week I've noticed a change. It took 30 min for me to order a blt sub. They screwed up the price, and quantity of the meat put on the sub. I was asked 100 questions when all I wanted was a BLT with a couple vegetables and melted American cheese. Granted she was extremely nice and it was only her 4th day, asking me a million questions and continuing to get my sub wrong after answering said questions.. you need to be trained properly. One of the deli women was extremely rude not just tonight but last night (2/15/16) as well. It just seemed like utter confusion at the deli in every facet. The store itself is a 5. Every other department is great. But the deli... That's a 0. It takes over 15 min to order 3 subs with no line. Hopefully next time I'm down here I can give the overall experience a 5 but for now.. I can't do it. Overall point: the store overall is awesome. The deli needs serious work. The subs gotta be done quicker and with more attention to detail. If there is a line... be prepared to be there forever. If there is a middle-aged woman that has a mean and miserable look on her face.. be prepared she's gonna make mistakes with your sub and give you attitude while doing so. read more

We always shop at Publix, but this Publix had the worst customer service ever! Went to get food and a birthday cake for a party tonight like we always do. Went to the bakery and the girl in the back area of the department yelled to us to see if we needed help. We said we wanted a cake and she yelled back " which one?". She came up to the counter at that point and got the cake. I asked if we could have Happy Birthday put on the cardboard plate the cake was on and she said that she could not. I told her that I always have that done and she said she would not because it would smear. I told her that all the the other Publix stores do this and she again said she would not do this. When I told my friend , he said we will take the cake back and go to another Publix. We went to customer service, who were very nice and said they would get the bakery manager for us, but after Jackie, who was the girl in the bakery that we dealt with and was not wearing a name tag, we just wanted to leave. If this is the kind of staff this store employs that does not care, I do not care to spend my money there. Very disappointing!! Will not go back here again!!! One of the Best grocery stores I've ever been to. This location is very very clean. They have healthy options, organic and what not, but for reasonable pricing. (Unlike Whole Foods, which I like, but it is very pricy). They also have sample stations! They have adequate staff to check customers out and the shelves are fully stocked and neat. The best part: the bakery items. Their bread, pastries and allllll their fresh items are so tasty. I was staying at the resort nearby and came here everyday for their bread. Close to Wyndham Cypress Inn to stock up on easy to cook, healthy meals. Prices normal grocery, not a discount place NOR is it boutique, specialty expensive. Wyndham supplies soaps from shampoo to dishwasher and landry soap as well as toilet paper so we needed eggs, low fat meats, fresh chicken breasts, oat grain bread and cereal, soy milk, fruits and vegetables to snack on. Publix had all of our quirky diet favorites along with groceries most folks enjoy including full bakery, deli, prepackaged ready to eat roasts, potatoes au gratin, etc... We purchased meals for 5 full days of our 7 day stay for $102.00. Quite the vacation savings. The other two days, we splurged that $100.00 on dinner for two, alone. Bon appetite. read more
