Carné, arroz con dules y platanos

I hate it that this place is so close to me... Literally right across the street... But I love it... The lunch deal is awesome... The groceries are always presentable and fresh. The store clerks are awesome.

BEWARE--Price gougers during the pandemic. $6.99 for 18 eggs when other local supermarkets have them for $1/dozen. I'll be reporting this to the attorney general's office.

I crave this place. Finding one of the most delicious lunches in town is worth the parking lot hassle and long line. To me, this place is exactly what you want out of a local hole in the wall joint. The place is actually a grocery store, that has been steadily growing into a restaurant. The store is ample, and has a large selection of fresh produce and meats, along with every other accompaniment for a Latin American meal. The cafeteria style lunch line is where it is though. Every day, they cook up a good breakfast (which I'll admit I never go for, although the two times I have..it was good) and best hot lunch around. All for almost nothing! The pork is one of the best dishes I have tried, and I always get it with the yellow rice, beans and either Yuca or Plantains. A large (enough for dinner too) is only $5.99. They also have delicious steak, chicken, ropa vieja, fish and whatever else they can think of cooking up for the day. On the end of the counter, you will find fresh salads and a deli case. I have not ordered deli meat, but the highest price is $5.99lb for the pastrami. I have had the sandwiches (tripleta is my favorite) and they are all great. I almost never leave without an empanada. Personally, I will go with either the jamon y queso, pollo or carne. You can't go wrong with any of them. Ordering lunch is a great way to try and freshen up your Spanish speaking skills.

What an amazing little gem of a place. It's the kind of roadside attraction reminiscent of old Florida, but that history hasn't managed to forget. Thank goodness! This is a great attraction for the whole family. Lots of animals, play areas for the kids, and a ride around the farm in a monster truck/bus to view old citrus groves and search for Bigfoot. For me, the best part was the opportunity to interact with Lemurs and Capybaras. This was the best part of visit! Don't pay those absurd prices for those 'Capybara Cafes' popping up where $100 get you coffee in a room with them. Here, for a fraction of the cost, you get up close contact and interaction. The animal interactions fill up quickly, so get there early.

We thoroughly enjoyed our outing at showcase of Citrus. We love interacting with all the animals,…read moreespecially the capybara's. We also took a ride on the monster truck, which was a little disappointing as it was just a ride around the farm and we thought it was very pricey. I would say that this outing is geared mostly towards younger children. There is also a gift shop with fruit wines, honey candies, cookies, and a myriad of different things to purchase. I would definitely go back again, but maybe on a cooler day.
