Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone,so with that being said let's go!!.. I haven't been in a Publix Supermarket since I moved out of Florida back in '95, so I was definitely amazed at what I've been missing in a grocery store! I just came in to grab a few items for breakfast. The management was kind and greeted me as I walked through the aisles and this was early in the morning ( I can't say when the last time I was greeted by any type of management in a grocery store) so that was great and very impressive to me! I usually only try and do restaurant reviews. However. I used to work for this company and have noticed a complexing complacency as of the past year. I know it's post Covid. And some workers have had their lives warped by that means. However if Publix allows this to continue they will lose business. I know people say Publix is a pleasure. However salmonella and food poisoning isn't a good look to allow a lot of expired product to remain on the self. I only toke up front the product I was looking for and the guest service responded like I had two heads and didn't even bother to inquire as to if there was any other issues. A good sandwich place For years I've thought Publix was a very good supermarket chain. Many are also a good sandwich places, as was this Publix along US 192. They have a deli section to the right as you enter the store and offer both pre-made food and made to order sandwiches. I stopped in and ordered an Italian sandwich. The sandwich was made quicker than I have encountered at other Publix delis, using a tough bread that makes keeping the sandwich all together a bit of a challenge. The bread is an important part of what turns out to be a very good and substantial sandwich. It was custom made, I directed what toppings I wanted in addition to the multiple types of meat. I've recently switched to this Publix vs the one on Orange Lake only because of distance. I've been doing pickups via Instacart and it's been pretty satisfactory for the most part. I love how you drive up into a shaded space close to the entrance of the store because it's hot or could rain and it shows they care for the employees. I like that. My order is always confirmed and dropped off into my backseat in under 3 minutes even when I'm late. I do wish Publix offered more fruit and veggie options but still a great way to shop . read more

We stayed near this Publix location while we were visiting Disney World. Every staff member we encountered was so helpful and kind. From the checkout to the bakery, everyone was truly so nice! At one visit, they were out of the individual key lime pies. They had the full pies, but we wanted something smaller. Rather than turn me away, so they were so willing to make me what I wanted and came for. Such a great experience overall. read more

I'm a life long Publix shopper and this is the worst Publix I've ever been in. The lady making our sub refused to put mayo on half of our sub and said we could get the packets ourselves. She complained the whole time about everyone else taking a break while she was "stuck" working. The manager walked by and acknowledged the long lines and just continued walking by. How much praise should I give one of the best grocery stores chains ever in the Central Florida area? This specific store is such a pleasure to shop at because the customer service here is top notch. They always have extremely fresh produce and meats. I find myself walking past the bakery multiple times just to smell the freshly baked goods every time I am in there. I have ordered cakes from this place twice, while on vacation... both cakes were wrong...

I like Publix in that it reminds me of Wegmans up north, but only in style. General groceries are very pricey unless they're one of the very few items on sale. Unfortunately they have no competition in Florida. Many Winn Dixies closed, but they're just as, if not more expensive, so it is a small wonder they are closing stores. As far as their meal area goes, the last fried chicken we bought was almost all breading and the chicken may as well have been a pigeon, there was so little meat. I tried a deli sub, thinking it might be comparable to Wegmans up north....it is NOT! They meat, which should be quite tasty, since Boar's Head is good, was very lackluster in taste. I had the turkey, ham beef sub with lettuce, mayo and oil on multi-grain. The only taste was the bread. Almost no mayo, and the oil was like they mixed it up with a water bottle. Honestly, it was like they soaked the meats and lettuce in water and threw it on a dry roll. Very disappointing, especially for $10! Next time I'll buy my own deli and rolls and prepare my own and I'll stick with Walmart or Sam's club for ready made rotisserie and fried chicken. read more

I visited the store on 09/06/2020. They had bbq ribs 40 oz on sale, buy one get on free. Great, BUT they only had one in stock. I asked someone in the meat department to see if they had any more in the back, they didn't. I stopped at customer service and asked for a rain check and they said they don't give them out. So I asked if I was to buy the one in my hand would I have to pay full price and not get the free one ? Yes !! Why would anyone do that ? I would think if they are going to run such a special they would have sufficient stock to handle the consumers demand. And, no rain checks !! Seems like a poor policy for a store right around the corner from Walmart. read more

I just realized that I have ton of check-ins here and have yet to officially sing their praises. I obviously enjoy shopping here, not just because it's directly across from where I live, but the people who work here, from the management to the deli staff...and especially the bakery staff, who give my little girl a cookie and a smile every time we go in there, clearly enjoy working here. My only small issue is that they have a hard time keeping my Lemon Vitamin Water Zeros stocked on the shelves, so I frequently have to make the trek to Target just for that item, but besides that, I'm so grateful to have this Publix in my life. read more

I expected better... We checked out some pre-made salad we wanted to pick some up for dinner but was immediately turned off by withered veggies. I assume public freshly make their own brand salads/food but at 6:30 PM most of their salads were withered which means it's been sitting there in poor conditions or they are using bad ingredients. Prices were ok and they carry many off brand (Publix brand) options. As a tourist from west coast thinking Piblix was comparable to Whole Foods...it was absolutely not. read more

I love Publix grocery store but I still wish there were alternatives to choose from in this area, just to give them some competition!

It was an OK market. We found it pricier than Winn Dixie, but went ahead and tried out some of their products. Clean, helpful people, but we really didn't need a whole lot because we were prepared for the trip. I do have to say their homemade pimento cheese spread was some of the best I have ever had that is prepackaged. Close to my place there, but not so close that prices were exhorbintant. But they know me and my family. I went this past weekend with my public access trained sdit and it was good. The VFW was selling buddy poppies and they helped me put poppies on my service dog's vest (I've since glued them in place) and they even helped me with a handsy guy wanting to pet my sdit (don't do that. it's illegal.). Anyways, I have food allergies my sdit is supposed to keep me away from and while I was having a prescription filled, I used the time to work on my sdit's recognising and avoiding my allergens. The crew stocking things had no issues with him practising scenting things (he doesn't touch) and nobody bothered us or tried petting the nice doggy. The pharmacist on duty was really nice and she paid non-touching homage to my sdit. The wide aisles were great my sdit walked at my side and there was still room for carts - I'll be honest my dog and I both have wide load butts, the aisles were wide, okay. All in all, things are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I didn't have employees treating my service dog like a photo op (again, don't do that. It's rude and an invasion of privacy. For all you know, that service dog & handler are in witness protection or hiding from an abusive stalker ex.) read more

Jan. 2020 - This is a smaller but local Pubix. Very clean and well stocked. Pre-made food guy very friendly and patient with the children. Food was just so so but it was late and they wanted it. Produce area nice and some great fruit bowls. Grabbed a few more things quickly and checked out with ease. Very friendly register person. This is great local Publix. The store is clean and organized at every turn. Better yet, each employee we came across had a huge smile on their face. You can always find items that other nearby Publix stores don't seem to carry. It even has an attached liquor store. On this particular trip we came across a nice woman preparing ice cream sandwiches and handing them out to the patrons. The only downside to that is there aren't any trash cans in the store to get rid of extras. I love that they have a drop off/pick up section out front that helps with traffic. read more

I've had no problems with the supermarket itself, but the pharmacy is an absolute disaster. Every single visit has been a mess and they are incredibly rude. If you call, don't stay on hold for more than a minute because chances are, they've already forgotten you. Every time I call it's a ten minute hold or longer. Today, I called them, waited on hold for ten minutes, got ready and drove to the store. By the time I talked to someone in the pharmacy,I had been on hold for twenty six minutes. By the way, there was only one customer there and two employees, both incredibly rude. No reason for a half an hour hold and when I told them, the tech blamed the pharmacist and the pharmacist asked me to hang up and clear up the lines. Real professional guys. read more
