They only have one register open during rush hours and none outside of rush. Only self checkout. Lines are always ridiculously long.

Winn-Dixie stores are hard to come by these days. While eating in a restaurant close by, we stopped in to get some essentials for breakfast the next morning. I was surprised at how clean and well organized the store was. They had a large prepared food section that looked really good. We got everything we needed for breakfast, plus the most delicious muffins that I'm still thinking about weeks later. Their floral section reminded me of how it used to be when I was a kid. Beautiful arrangements and fair prices. I bought a bouquet of hydrangeas that literally lasted two weeks. They were only 5 dollars!I wish this market was closer to my house so I could frequent it more often. read more

went to buy a prepaid card among other things and the card's numbers where not clear, the manager at that time refuse to give me my money back or another card, i have been going there and this is the first time that this bad experience happened to me I am not going again and will tell this experience to all family and friends, publix is my next choice read more

First time ever coming to these stores, they're quite reminiscent to the Jewel stores back home. Located in an active strip mall, this fairly sized store has it all. Prices are quite expensive on some items. What disappointed me was that I had to wait 15 minutes to check out because I had alcoholic beverages and nobody was there to help me out. I live in the neighborhood and this is my favorite place to pick something up quickly. The store is always clean and well-organized but very cold, it feels like you are inside of a giant freezer., so always bring a sweater! They have a good variety of hot and ready food you can pick from in their deli. don't forget to order a good cuban coffee in the meanwhile to able to survive in the cold temperatures of the store. read more

I have been in this neighborhood for the last 30 years and I used to shop here because of the quality of the products, customer service and food variety but right now it's the worst supermarket around. The produce, meat and seafood selection and are not fresh and lack of quality. The Deli department is run by employees that do not speak any English and spend the entire time talking between them un attending the customers. The worst ready to eat plates you can find are there. I purchased a turkey sandwich with one slice of turkey and 1 slice of cheese, That's all no other toppings added, it was acid and the bread dry. None of my friends in the area shops there anymore. I pop in here a lot as it is the nearest store to my house. There is always plenty of parking n the location is perfect for me for last minute items. The fruit n veg here is never particularly good, so I am choosy whether I buy it or not. Some days fresh, some days not. Having said that...I appreciate their wine specials that they offer. We regularly come here to buy wine as they rotate offers. Also if you buy four bottles you automatically get 10 per cent off. However for my main shop...no thank you! read more

This Winn Dixie Deli is like eating in your abuela's kitchen in Hialeah! Nothing fancy..this isn't one of those Winn Dixies with fancy wood floors. There's no Boars Head ham. There's no menu boards. It's better if you speak a little español. But you can order a decent sanwise de hamon (ham and swiss cheese sandwich, with huge pieces of sweet serrano ham, pieces of swiss that overhang the bread and a sweet hint of balsamic vinegar. Since it is a supermarket, you have a choice of sides, although I didn't see individual size chips. With the smallest I got, I still had enough to share with my coworkers. While ordering my sandwich, I also noticed they have a substantial latin deli with pollo asado, and moros. read more

The store management passed a measure that no one is allowed in the store without a mask; Miami Lakes has not passed this provision for the city. I asked if they had had mask for the patrons and they didn't. I asked them where to get mask and they just shrugged their shoulders. In a time like this where a patron has choices and it is patrons coming through your doors that keep it open customer service matters. This is the location where I shop all the times. Lately the customer service have been horrible. I don't like to leave negative comments but I give credit where it's due. The last time I went was like 4 days ago, and the young lady at the register I believe her name is "Barbie" was really kind and helpful. Terrible. I seriously do not like coming here. I had to come here because I had to get a balloon for a birthday that was next door at a restaurant. A BALLOON! Let me tell you how long it took. It took about 35 minutes, 35 MINUTES FOR A BALLOON. I picked it out, by going behind the flower area (it's open) because there was no one there. I went to pay in customer service due to the super freaken long lines in the other cash registers. I told the lady I needed the balloon to be filled up, which is normally expected. Okay, so she over head paged someone to go to flowers. I waited there for 10 minutes, no one showed up. I went back to see if she can get anyone else, while she was munching on chips (and could've easily helped). She over head paged someone again, 5 minutes later, someone finally showed up. GREATT! Let's get this balloon filled up so I can get out. NOPE. It's now broken. The man goes to the back to see if he can get it "fixed", 10 min later, he shows up and says it's broken. So then, I tell him just to give me the ballon that was half way deflated just so I can show up with something. He kept saying "but why, it's deflated?", but literally that's all they had and I already paid! So I go back to the customer service line, that was about 10 min long and decided forget it. It's $8 and I'm sure my grandma will survive without it. Customer service has ALWAYS been a problem here. People literally run from you when you have a question. read more

I have come to this Winn -Dixie for years since I have lived in this area since forever. The renovations they have done are awesome! The place has such a Miami / Hispanic feel to it. They have a huge size bakery with great things to chose from especially cakes. Everything is such a good find as it's all cheaper than Publix (in my opinion). Such a great renovation they have done. Staff is always nice and open to help. Everything in the store just looks cleaner and bigger. Can't wait to come back and shop here. read more

Publix was closed Easter, so went to this Winn-Dixie on the west side in Miami Lakes around 10:30am. Bought about 23$ worth, lady asked to keep the receipt, I said ok :/ Around 4:30pm got a Wells Fargo SMS that a purchase was rejected for around 35$ at the same Winn-Dixie. Later on around 7pm they started hitting the gas stations with the card and getting rejected as I'd closed the card. Sent an email to WD management, form letter back. Paying in cash at this location might be a good idea. read more

I love coming to this Winn Dixie. It's a quick in and out and I always get what I need at a good price and I am out the door. I come here because it's on my way home from the gym and around the corner from my house. Like any grocery store they have what you always need. I tend to lean towards Winn Dixie over Publix because I feel their prices are better and they just have better deals overall when you use your Winn Dixie card. There's not too much more you can ask for. The place is clean, always has what I need, great prices, self checkout and red box. What else more do you need from a grocery store anyway? read more

Stop by this Winn-Dixie to grab some junk food on my way to a friends house. The store is very clean and organized. Like always Winn-Dixie has great prices and specials so you can never go wrong when buying here. The employees at this location were very helpful and the cashier even went out of his way to open a soda I had purchase and I couldn't get it open. Absolutely the worst Winn-Dixie ever. I have been living in this area for over 30 years and only visit this location when it's absolutely necessary. I do all my shopping at Publix which is actually further away from my home. I avoid this Winn-Dixie at all costs. Very long lines at registers and no one speaks English. I am a Miami native so I'm used to Spanish being spoken but this place is ridiculous. Expired items are not removed from shelves. The hot food section is nasty as well. Management at this location is horrible. They remodeled this store so it looks better but this location is in dire need of new management and staff training. Definitely not up to Winn-Dixie's standards. It's a shame too. There is a Winn-Dixie I sometimes visit in Miramar and it puts this place to shame. We Miami Lakes residents deserve better in our town! read more

Horrible service and expired foods for sale. I went to exchange an expired item 20 min after purchasing and got absolutely no apology for the trouble. When I asked why they would sell it and the person at customer service said she was giving me my money back and that she had nothing to do with it. She didn't even call the manager, no attempt to own the problem or keep a customer. read more

This is for the pharmacy. The staff has always been kind and great to me. They always greet by my first name, even over the phone! Before I was able to get on disability, I had no insurance and they bent over backwards trying to find discount programs for me to be able to afford my medicine. I've seen the pharmacist stay late to help people with insurance problems get a prescription filled, where most other places would have rolled the shutters and ran. Now that I have Medicare and little to no cost for my medicine, I could choose to go to Walgreens or some other 24 hour pharmacy for the convenience, but I will stay with these guys because I have never been treated so nicely anywhere else! read more
