It was just announced this store will be closing October 26, for 5 months. Well, the employees have already "checked out." Ran in today to grab something from the deli for dinner. Another customer was waiting at the deli. Behind the counter, no employees. I went to the service counter & said "no one is in the deli " He made an announcement "help needed in the deli." Another few minutes passed and a man with dirty work gloves appeared from the back. He took those off & put on disposable gloves - never washing his hands! I am pretty sure the janitor was weighing my food! In looking further behind the counter, every work area was dirty. It looked like one bench had flour spread over it. Another had cardboard & opened packaging. Definitely NOT sanitary. The hot food under the glass was literally crusty & dried out. This was at 5pm, not near closing time. Just a real "eww" feeling from this visit. If it is this bad in July, how bad will it be in 3 months right before they close? read more

We needed flowers. After paying 20.00 for 6 red roses and 3 stems of lillys, we went home to arrange them. When I cut upen the cellophane wrapper, A large amount of the Rose petals fell off. The roses we're more than half gone. We bought almost dead flowers! We couldn't give our little girl these flowers on her big opening night! So at the last minute we bought some good ones at Publix. A dozen, beautiful, red roses for 20.00. I only wish we had gone there first. read more

Ah, the Key Largo Winn-Dixie at marker 105. I have been going to this store off and on for the past... wow... thirty five years. Back in the late 80's I even worked at this location as a bagger. To say that the place has changed over the years is an understatement. One of the entrances is now blocked off to make room for their liquor store, which never existed before. The place has been remodeled to the new updated standards of Winn-Dixie (I think this is at least the second time I have seen the place remodeled over the years). Items inside the store are what you would expect. They cater to their clientele, which means that the items they have inside lean somewhat towards the Cuban taste buds as more and more visitors from the mainland make their way down into the Keys. The floors are clean, and the help is friendly. Sadly the deli no longer has trays of lasagna under the hot plates waiting to be served as a lunch item, though the addition of a couple of tables with chairs to sit at to eat is a nice addition to the store. read more

I use to love shopping here for the rewards - especially when the have points multipliers. However, the selection is quite limited, even when compared to the older publix before the new Publix was even built. The store is absolutely freezing - it's like being trapped in a freezer. It's always quite dirty and gross inside... Some of the staff are amazing and super friendly and helpful!! The other half couldn't care less about their service facing attitudes. However, my biggest complaint is regarding point theft. I had accrued about $150 in points that I was saving to use. While checking out at their liquor store, one employee asked me 3 different times for my phone number, stating it wasn't going through...I thought this was strange and suspicious but brushed it off as me being too paranoid. That is, until about 3 days later I opened my app to see all my points were gone. The thief was atleast smart enough not to use them at the store I shop at, but since they used my phone number to use the points, I was able to see their purchase receipt in Miami where they redeemed all my points. While I can't know for certain who it was...it definitely seemed like more than a coincidence that one employee had asked for my number 3 times just a few days prior... after calling the Key Largo store to see if they could look back at the cameras for anything suspicious, I was not helped at all. They told me there was nothing that could be done. This was identity theft and fraud potentially committed, and I would assume the store would take that serious. Atleast the points thief got to enjoy some salmon, asparagus, and bunch of other dinner items on my tab however. I never bother stopping by here anymore, even if it is on my way home from work. read more

I'm sorry. I do not like to write bad reviews but this place deserves one. So I call the number off the gps and I guess it is linked to the liquor store. The lady answer and just says hello. So I don't know if I have the wrong number or what so I am like hello is this winn Dixie ? And she says yes. So I asked to be transferred to the grocery store. The lady says ok I'll have to ask because I don't have the number so I'm like ok no problem. I'm on hold for 10 mins and the phone just hangs up. So I continued to call back the number and they just refuse to answer the phone. I do not like to complain but this just ticked me off enough for me to tell my story. Do better Winn Dixie. This is a great grocery store in Key Largo. It's noticeably cheaper (especially with the loyalty card) than the other chain store in Key Largo, and has fresher food. It's smaller than the Winn-Dixie in Tavernier, but still has everything I could need for general day-to-day living. The managers and check out staff are very chill and nice, and always take care of whatever I need, even asking for the proper $.10 off of something. They don't make me feel silly for asking and tell me my money is my money and that's the way it should be! The produce is wrapped in a decent amount of plastic, but you can try hard to get the unwrapped stuff. The liquor/beer section is large, and there's always good sales on meats, canned goods, pastas. The parking is well-lit and plentiful. It's clean and well-kept. read more

There are certain things I prefer to buy at Winn-Dixie as opposed to Publix such as meat and beer. This location serves it purpose and provides a grocery store directly on Overseas Highway for all those necessary boat items you'll need to maximize your stay. I do like that they offer more variety with camping goods than Publix does. There's never a shortage of bug spray, charcoal, and batteries; that's for sure! The chips department could use a little oomph but that's part of the stuff I buy elsewhere. It's convenient to use your plenti card towards purchases to earn points and rewards on every day items found on sale. It's very economical to shop here and it's it's direct location right in the entrance of Key Largo makes it an important spot for those traveling in the keys. read more

Yes, like many other stores they were out of some supplies, but they worked through the hard part and kept the store clean and as stocked as possible. Rotten vegetables, rotten meat, outdated dry goods, disorganized store, rude employees. This place should be shut down. Beware anything in the meat department that says reduced for quick sale, it is already rotten. Inspect any package produce that you buy here before taking it out of the store, as you will find that the vegetables are often brown and slimy discolored and/or moldy. read more

I don't see how this place is even open. As soon as I walked in it looked dirty. Went to the produce isle, first thing I saw was rotten strawberries. Kept walking went to look for ham, and couldn't help but notice the bacon, looked bad. I had to walk out empty handed not even my kids wanted me to buy anything. read more

Less and less items on the shelves and what's worse - one cashier. Two self check outs are not functioning and there is, needless to say, a long line and upset customers. But there is a manager talking with the deli girls. At least he's having a good time. read more

Reviewing a grocery store is always a little difficult. What can you say other than how well the place is kept. We dropped in to pick up picnic supplies for a beach day. The store had all the items we were looking for. The store is small, but well stocked and plenty of parking. On our visit the store was clean and there was not baskets all over the lot like you find at some big box stores. read more

I feel silly writing a review for a national chain grocery store. But compared to the Winn-Dixie stores in Miami, this one is cleaner, better stocked, and full or nicer, more helpful staff. Publix down the street may be a little more modern, but this Winn-Dixie has a smaller town feel that makes it kinda fun to shop. read more

This place is awful. How can that be is just a grocery store it's hard to mess something so simple up. I go here cause it's around the corner from my house and I keep thinking all I need is x I'll just go there it's closer. Tonight wanted burger meet a very easy item but nope they where out.
