Duuuuude..... at 9:30 in the morning the cashier was either stoned or badly intoxicated. When I walked up, he appeared to be sleeping, standing up! He could hardly keep his eyes open and moved in slow motion to scan my items. He had a name tag that said "Travis" kind of hanging off and with the lettering jumbled. LOL! He looked like he'd slept in those clothes. Is it really that hard to find employees??? Ok, so picture scanning 10 bottles of water in slow motion... then putting one in a bag... having more bags come off in his hand and shaking his hand to get rid of the extras. (I am having to bite my lip to keep from laughing out loud at this point.) I asked if he had a box and he kind of looked at me then said "no." He looked down by where he was standing and voila, a box! The sign said "no cash change," and I am sure it was because he was unable to make change! LOL! Things in the keys are really marked up. That's why dollar stores are really the jam here. They've got every little household nicknack, cleaning supply, or random thing you might need. Also a great place to stock up on spices, cooking utensils, etc. There's even frozen and boxed/canned foods here for cheaper than local grocery chains. This is the best dollar store in Key Largo, cuz prices of things are actually a dollar! Big store, big parking lot, right next to McDonald's. Staff are also very nice. read more

I am a medical professional. I walked in this afternoon and was dismayed to find that the checkout people were not wearing masks. So I went back to the front door and reread their corporate policy which said completely vaccinated people working here can go without mask. When it was my turn to check out, I congratulated her on getting a vaccine, and asked her which kind did you get? To which she replied curtly I have not gotten the vaccine and I don't need a lecture from you! I pointed out the office policy and she said it's not against the law to be without a mask. It may not be against the law but it's certainly against us posted corporate policy. Some managers falling down on the job. This should not be allowed in view of the massive upswing in Covid cases, Especially since elderly people tend to use that store! Better to go to family Dollar We're all the employees wear masks, in compliance with the latest CDC recommendation. read more

I live here in the upper keys and I stopped i to the Key Largo dollar tree today for gummy bears haha. I asked the only employee I could find (at the register) where i could find gummy bears. She spoke to the customer who she was checking out, in spanish and the customer proceeded to ask me what i needed and said she would translate....I said what? The only employee here doesnt speak english, not even a little????? The manager came out and said (in broken english) that she didnt think they had gummy bears. Not sure she understood me either. I asked her how someone got a job that didnt even speak a little english...its America....she shrugged her s high shoulders and said sorry....ugh...will never be back there, stupid dollar tree!!! read more

Where do I even begin... I ordered 4 cases of 16oz mason jars for my wedding a month in advance and the warehouse lost two of the cases. I called customer service and they were not helpful at all... If you ever call customer service for dollar tree and get a woman named Beth as the supervisor hang up right away. She is very rude disrespectful and does not have your best interest in mind. She hung up the phone on me and did not help with the rest of my order. The reason I am giving dollar tree in key Largo a five star review is because Edna who works there was the most accommodating and helpful woman I have contacted at dollar tree. She responded to my mothers phone calls and said that they could get me one of the cases that I was missing. When we got there it turns out that she had five cases so I was able to get both of the cases that I needed. This woman needs a raise and Beth, the supervisor of dollar tree needs to work on her people skills or be replaced by Edna or Sheneka, another customer service rep who was very compassionate and accommodating! A wedding is supposed to be the most special time of your life and I'm pretty sure party favors for your wedding are a very important thing to have on hand if ordered very far in advance. I am a very nice person and it is hard for me to write a review as nasty as this but once you get disrespected by dollar tree customer service like I have, you'll understand exactly why I have wrote this review. read more
