I ordered the Spicy Korean Q and it was overall really good. The fries tasted great, they were fresh, hot, and seasoned well. The staff were really kind to me, (i couldn't catch her name but she looked 57, and she was the sweetest lady ever, she called me dear and honey which i thought was really nice). The entire building was not too loud and not too quiet. The only problem was that when I got my drink, it tasted like watered down Fanta. read more

My wife loves the food here and we usually order from door dash. We probably should have kept it that way. My wife asked me to swing by the Santa Maria store to pick up dinner. The staff that was working, was working incredibly hard however there was three other staff standing around not doing anything. No one greats as you walk in. I waited for about 15 minutes until an employee acknowledged my presence. The person at the register was not personable, friendly or even made eye contact. They acted as if I was inconveniencing them. They began the conversation with (There is a 45 minute wait). Once again, no hello or thank you for choosing Wingstop. I got the impression that they did not want my service so I went somewhere else. I have worked with the public for 15 years and managed a store with 20 employees. After getting the lousiest service you can get in Santa Maria, (Not exaggerating), my family and I decided not to go back ever again. Especially because Buffalo Wild Wings is just across the street and gives better service better food and way less wait time. Wingstop lost all out business and I think they are going to lose a lot more if they don't do something about their management and workers. (Not all some of them are friendly) . On Valentines Day, I made my first visit to this location. I normally visit the Wingstop in SLO. On entry I did a quick scan of the establishment and felt more at ease than my last visit in SLO (the restaurant eating area was dirty...tables and floor had left over food and wrapping all over) because it appear clean and tidy. I stepped up to the counter and received a pleasant welcome from Daisy. She was cheerful, professional, and seemed genuinely interested in delivering great customer service. Nice! A big THANK-YOU to Daisy for her attitude and attention! I ordered and was surprised with the quickness of receiving my food. WOW...(other reviewers were not so happy with the "slow service")! I hate to give this location a bad review but this place is going downhill. They used to be pretty good and the older gentleman who I assume was the owner would come by to ask how things are. After covid, I don't see him anymore and just the daughter comes in. The food is usually hot and good except this time I got a wing with feathers (a lot of feathers). Lost my appetite after that. They replaced with a fresh one but lost my ability to eat. The soda machine has sucked over the last few months and drinks are way over carbonated with no flavor. This place is always busy. Don't expect to sit down or anything because that's definitely a gamble if you're with more than like one person. Pretty standard Wingstop otherwise. They are consistent which is amazing considering I've been here like 50 times. If you order ahead it's usually ready when it's supposed to be - another reason to come here. This is our go-to Wing Stop because my wife likes the way they cook the wings... Not this time though. We ordered ahead to mitigate the typical long wait anybody coming through the door faces. They cater mostly to pick-up orders it seems. We ordered 20 wings, veggies (the veggies continue to be really good...), and two pots of dipping blue cheese dressing. Good smells emanated from the bag the whole trip home. Though the bag was never tipped over, when we were taking it from the vehicle we noted that the bottom of the bag was completely saturated with Buffalo Sauce. Upon opening the bag, all the contents had to be brought in separately due t being covered in sauce. The wing container was intact and upright. When we opened it, some wings had sauce on them, others did not. We were completely baffled not knowing how so much sauce could be soaked through the bag! When we ate the wings we also found the order wasn't up to our typical expectations of this Wing Stop. The wings were not completely covered with sauce and the wings tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The chicken was not extra done like my wife orders, i.e. extra crispy. They were cooked like you would normally expect a typical Wing Stop to cook them which I, her husband, happen to like. The lack of sauce on the wings yet the bag soaked in sauce leads me to think almost the unthinkable... They appear to have cooked the wings in old oil but forgot to toss them in sauce. The error was noted after the wings were placed in the bag and some sauce was tossed in, some got the chicken, most got the bag. The bag appeared normal and made it to the car. After only 15 minutes of driving, the bag was soaked and risked breaking getting it out of the car. The sauce did soak through though and puddled in the rubber pads I had installed in this truck to catch beach sand. Yes, puddled. That's how much sauce made it through the bag though the wings were not saturated and minimally covered. We regret that the only source for wings my wife likes just dried up from bad service. read more

The food is good but just like the other reviews, the wait times are really long. That's fine, easy enough to plan around that. The big deterrent for me is how poor the overall staff is. Some employees are decent but they make themselves scarce when the rotten apples are doing their thing. Seems like it's probably a toxic work environment. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I have walked in to order food with no other customers in line/in restaurant and still have to wait 30 mins to an hour OVER what they told me the wait time was going to be. There have also been occasions of employees arguing and fighting with each other and customers in restaurant. I have never seen a smile from anyone working there, and the employees treat you like literal garbage. I walk in and there are ten or more employees on the clock with at least half just standing doing nothing. I am definitely not the only one that feels this way, something needs to change at this location. read more
