Love coming to this Cane's. They definitely keep the Cane's standard alive. Sometimes when big franchises come to Santa Maria, the quality starts to slip and they end up getting that "Santa Maria reputation," but that hasn't happened here. This location is just as good as every Cane's I've been to in Los Angeles and Arizona. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the service is fast, and the restaurant is consistently clean. The managers, Matt and Ben, are always cool, professional, and seem to run a great team. There's also another manager who wears glasses that I usually see in the mornings. I forgot her name, but she's always incredibly sweet too. I've honestly never had a bad experience here. The food is always fresh, hot, and exactly what I expect from Cane's. They keep Cane's the way it was intended. Nothing but 10/10 experiences every time. read more

I bought my food and gave them a five dollar bill and asked if they could give me change in ones, they were very rude and would not give me change. I needed it to get on the bus and because of that I missed the bus. If I just walked in there and hadn't bought anything I would understand but I was a paying customer! I thought this was very rude and un thoughtful of them! I will not be going back as a customer! Now I see why they only have a 3.7 rating read more

This time the food was way better than my previous experiences at this location. The fries and chicken were crispy and the size of the tenders weren't too small. read more

HOT FRESH CHICKEN FOR FIVE STAR MAX! I absolutely love Raising Cane's. The chicken is always so moist and delicious, and the fries have just the right amount of salt to keep me coming back for more. Don't even get me started on the Cane's Sauce--it's so good I always get it by the cup! The service is lightning fast; it feels like as soon as we sit down, they're already calling our name with our order hot and ready. The aesthetics inside are awesome, with great music choices that make the vibe even better. The employees are always super friendly, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Honestly, it's the only fast food chicken restaurant I go to now, and for good reason. read more

Just setting here eating and watching the crew. First off greeted as soon as I hit the door. As I look around everything in the kitchen area was clean and neat. It was nice seeing everyone work together smiling as they did their job. I was waited on by one of the sweetest girls. She even asked me how my day was going. I like going to places who have a positive energy. Keep it up Canes. What's funny is I hate chicken breast but theirs is so moist and tender. No dryness and love their coleslaw read more

Alexandria and Judy were so kind when ordering and receiving my food, it was a great experience!!

Raising Canes is definitely a go to place for a delicious treat. They are well known for their fried chicken and their Texas Toast. The staff here consistently extremely friendly and treat you almost like family. The restaurant itself is super clean and reminds me of a local burger joint rather than a monotonous fast food place, with a much more comfortable environment. The fried chicken was quite good, but the Texas toast is a must try. Also, the signature canes sauce that comes with every meal is a necessity if you are to ever try this place. Overall, I would definitely recommend! read more

This was our first visit to Raising Cane's and we were pleasantly surprised. We were expecting thickly coated, overly crunchy chicken but the batter wasn't heavy & was lightly fried. The all-breast chicken was moist & tasty. The coleslaw wasn't overly sweet & the fries were good. The manager came by to chat & check on us. He offered us their honey- mustard sauce in addition to their traditional Cane sauce (which we really liked). We were impressed with our meal & will be back. read more

So happy this place came to town. It's been established here for a little while now and they've got things into a wonderful rhythm. The lines have not not been as long, and when they are they move efficiently. You are not waiting for a long time. Having been to this location several times now, the food is consistently good. We had this establishment in Texas where are used to live. It's extremely popular there and we went often. The wonderful quality of the food, and taste of the food are just as good here as they were in Texas. Everything always taste fresh and something I really enjoy is that you can actually taste the chicken and not just the fried coding around it. It is not greasy in taste or touch. Raising Canes is famous for their Cane sauce so give it a try and see what you think. The employees are very friendly and have really gotten down the routine of how Raising Canes operates. Happy to have Raising Cane's in what my family and I call the "chicken district" of Santa Maria. read more

Brand new in the Enos Ranch shopping center next to Aldi's. Their grand opening is handling the crowds with ease and efficiency. The chicken is spot on. The Texas toast is so good too. There is a great chance that you can get served a lot quicker if you go inside. Got the Craniac Combo and it did not disappoint. Raising Cane's completes the TriFecta of Chicken Alley here at Enos Ranch with Chic-Fil-A and Popeye's down the way. If you throw Pollo Loco and KFC up the street, we'll, now you have the Fab Five. Today I felt like having crispy fried chicken. Canes is a mile from my house and I'd never been to one before so decided to try it. I was a little concerned as it was 12 noon and mine was the only car in the drive thru. My choice was the 3 finger combo. RIGHT next to the speaker was someone using a power washer to clean the trash can. I couldn't hear the cashier after I ordered so just drove to the pickup window. 2 of the 3 fingers were the expected size. The last one was very small, like a chicken nugget. The meat was moist, flavorful, but not as crunchy as I expected, like steamed. The sauce was perfect for dipping the chicken in. My fries were room temperature and limp. (Remember I was the only car there and live 1 mile away). The bread tasted good, but also like it had been steamed. read more

Had a great experience as I drove in the drive thru. First I wasn't sure if this was going to be another Chick-fil-A but as I saw the menu it wasn't too hard to decide. I liked how this drive-thru was designed and as you drove along the wall the music was great sounding. The associate that I spoke with was great with everything, it just went smooth. The chicken was crispy, tender and great. The French fries looked soggy but I think I was expecting a crunchy look and feel but to my surprise they were nice and tasty like a fry should be. The coleslaw was no KFC but it was ok, Texas toast was ok and Canes sauce was good, not too bearing, instead of a drink I got a bottled Arrow water. Overall I'm very happy with my visit, it may be my go to chicken joint. read more

Didn't think it would get worse but man it's worse than opening. Canes is great but the customer service sucks I go at night most of the time cause I get off late and would like to eat smth before I go home and I always get the usual and once I get to the window the big guy that always is working by the window at night is so rude and why ask me if I want ketchup if you don't put anything and I also ask if he's able to give me some when I get to the window and I usually check my bag and he never puts it so I always have to wait to ask him again it's just really annoying asking the same person at the window when he doesn't even do his job right read more

Back at Raising Cane's in Santa Maria and who do I see greeting all Patrons as they walk in...why it's Tim(G.M.)! Yay!!! The place was "hoppin" today and the restaurant had a good "buzz" goin. I placed my order for the BOGO Box Deal/received thru email...and in less than 5 minutes, my meal(s) were hot, fresh and ready. A quick tote congenial convo with Tim (he's the G.O.A.T. in providing "out of the box" Customer Service and making every Customer feel to home in the restaurant) and I'm off...on my way home to enjoy the purchased "goods". FABULOUS! Redemption. Again, I'm a believer. On this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion...Raising Cane's (Tim and Crew and fabulous tasting food) truly earned this "highly recommend" 5 Star review. read more

Was so excited to finally try this place now that Santa Barbara County has a location in Santa Maria! The chicken was sooo delicious. French fries did not disappoint either. The Cane's sauce was great, but not enough for the meal and I wish they had some other sauce options as well (aside from ketchup). It was easy to find parking, order inside, and then find a place to sit. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. Their decor is super cute and each of the staff we encountered were very helpful. We'll definitely be back! read more

I had never ever heard of this franchise before it's Santa Maria arrival and I didn't have any expectations. The staff was very friendly. The drive-through on a weeknight evening seemed to be lively but hardly anyone dining inside. I noticed ample seating indoors as well as a few large picnic style tables outdoors as well. The combos came out quickly and I opted to take my to-go. Kudos for using paper containers and not styrofoam! The chicken tenders were nice and juicy with just the right amount of crispy breading. While I think the combo is meant to feed one, I thought the portions were very large and I was full after eating just 2 of the 4 chicken pieces. The slaw was crisp and light - solid. I liked the crinkle fries and the sweet "brioche" like toast bread was a hit with my toddlers. This is definitely a solid fast food joint with hefty portions. read more

It was my first and likely my last experience with Raising Cane's. The fries were limp and looked like they had not been cooked long enough as they were completely white. The biggest crime against tasteless came when both they and the chicken were tasteless. Some simple seasoning including more salt would help. The lid for my drink had a straw hole so tight it cut off any liquid getting through so I ditched the lid and braved a car ride with a sloppy drink. The coleslaw was watery and also tasteless. It's so easy to make fried foods and coleslaw tasty. It's a shame that the chains seems to be lacking in basic culinary practices. read more

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers - Chicken Shop Near Me - Santa Maria, California

So this is my first time coming here. I decided to wait while everything calmed down from the opening a bit ago. First thing I noticed is that the actual parking lot for the restaurant is pretty compact, so be careful when pulling in. I got there a little bit before 1 PM yesterday and there was like 1 person ahead of me in line inside with a pretty long line through the drive thru. My order went through at 1 pm and I had a 7 minute turnaround to get my food. I got the Caniac Box Combo since I didn't know what to expect size-wise. And I figured if I ordered too much, now I have dinner too. I came here on a late lunch from work, so excuse the background for the picture. First thing I noticed opening up the container is that they give a very generous sized ketchup packet/ container. Reminds me of the sauces we usually get from other fast food places for dipping. I can see why everyone loves the Raising Cane's sauce, it's a little tangy, creamy and I think there's a ketchup base? It goes really good with everything in the box ( didn't try it in the coleslaw though so don't quote me in that lol) The Texas toast is good, it's a white bread so it's on the sweeter side, but the sesame seed on top makes me think a bit of like a good hamburger bun, it's a bit crispy on one side and soft all the way through. The Chicken is lightly salted and has a softer outside, reminds me of a KFC batter. This is the juiciest chicken I have ever had from a fast food place. And as someone who loves fried chicken, I have to say it wasn't something I expected to get from fried chicken. I'm used to fried chicken being on the drier side. The Canes sauce is what gives it all the flavor. Fries are also lightly salted. It makes me think everything was formulated to get the flavor from the sauce, which I don't mind. I'm real glad I got this for lunch, for me this is the perfect in between of Popeye's super crispy breading and KFC's softer batter. Perfect for when I want good chicken without too much spice. And because I'm used to fast food places using thicker batters, I expected to need a bigger order, but the batter is thinner so the 3 piece combo would probably do it for me to fill up. Overall I think a solid 4/5, I'd like a bit more seasoning on the chicken itself, as well as the fries. But the chicken being super juicy really brought up the rating for me and the sauce is a big thing that brings it all together. Will definitely come back for my next sauce fix! read more

First time to a Raising Cane's: in a nutshell- underwhelming. This was the only chicken place open late (11 pm) around; I was hoping for something on par with Popeyes. It didn't meet that standard much less even close to Chik-fil-A. I had hopes due to a few local people raving about it. The seasoning on the chick fingers was bland, not sure there was any seasoning just fried breading. The chicken itself was good, fresh but dry. The RC sauce was just bad, the taste was awful, I ate the chicken by itself despite the blandness. The size of the chicken fingers was surprisingly small. I got the coleslaw instead of fries - nice to have that option. The slaw, however, was also bland, mostly just a mayonnaise flavor. $10 for the combo meal is not a good value, I expected more and it was really more snack size than meal. The inside was nice (decor, etc), but none of the tables were wiped or cleaned. No staff came out from behind the counter for anything despite it being relatively slow. To bad neither of the other chicken fast food places were open. read more
