Not overly impressed. Prices are expensive espe ially just for a sandwich. Had the original philly. They did give lotss if meet but a bit tough. Chicken is made with dark meat. Not a fan! Overall just ok

I came to Lido's after telling some friends about my horrible "cheesesteak" I had at Jim's Burgers in Santa Maria. All my friends raved about the cheesesteak at Lido's, and I wasn't disappointed at all after I tried it for the first time. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly, it had a nice ratio of cheese, and the bread was the perfect type of bread for a cheesesteak. I also ordered it with jalapeño because I like mine a little spicy, and it added a nice kick of spice. The beef was seasoned really well, and had the perfect saltiness to it. All in all I am super excited to know Lido's is in town about at least once a week, and I plan on going back often. I love the convenience of being able to order and have your sandwich ready at a specific time by texting them in advance, plus the gentleman(possibly the owner?) who made the cheesesteak was really laid back and had a great attitude. This is how you run a business, and I'm happy to refer friends to stop by from here on out. Thanks!

The food truck came to Monarch Dunes today. My wife ordered the Philly Cheese steak and I ordered the chicken parmigiana. Both were served with curly fries. As for the Chicken parmigiana: it was perfectly cooked. All white meat and not over cooked. The sauce seemed very fresh: not prepackaged. My only gripe it didn't have more flavor. The bread (for both sandwiches) didn't fall apart from the sauce or weight. Curly fries were the best I have had to date on the Central Coast. Kudos! The cheese steak is made from rib eye. No gristle or extra fat was found. Not nearly as good as the real deal but THE BEST I have had in 25 years in California. I got a chance to look inside and it was very clean and orderly. I recommend!

Had the chicken tenders and fries. Chicken ok. A bit dry. Fries were better... good and crispy. Next time the truck was at an event they ran out after 20 minutes. Rude kid suggested a cheese burger. After waiting in line for 30 minutes I suggested they cross out the chicken on the whiteboard menu. Kid said they were too busy. It was better that patrons waited in line to get to the window to find out they were not prepared. Then I tried the new crispy chicken tenders at Micky D. Wow, so much better than Lidos. And 1/3 the price with fries! read more

The food is ALL unhealthy, deep fried and there is nothing healthy on the menu. It would have been nice to have a grilled chicken breast salad - you know, those things with lettuce and fresh veggies. Also, cotton candy and deep fried waffles! How to get super overweight and unhealthy. Eat that! Very outdated fat food. read more

Right up there with the best of the food trucks. If you are looking for cheesesteak look no further. This is the Pinnacle of Philly-style sandwiches on the central coast. Cheese steak was phenomenal. The meat was well seasoned and tasted fresh. The bread was soft but sturdy enough to contain the generous portion of meat. Prices are on par with other food trucks and the sandwiches were done in about 3-5 minutes which is a bonus when you are on a lunch break. I will be back for more. read more

Surprised that there aren't more reviews. Enjoyed my cheesesteak immensely. A very generous amount of meat mixed in with the cheese on a nice soft roll. Would be even better with bell peppers and onions, but I didn't order it that way. Maybe next time, but very satisfied with my choice. Need to try the chili fries next time. Lidos has probably made its name in a podunk town like santa maria, but when they come into santa Barbara for a big event they are rude and disorganized. I had the pleasure of dealing with LISA who has absolutely no personality. She doesnt realize her line has a vinyl banner over that's says funnel cake and that any reasonable person would think falling in that line would allow them to purchase a funnel cake but when asked if I could purchase one despite her misplaced signage all she could say was "uh huh ok" everything leads me to believe this is some family operation and she stopped caring. I even hung around after I ordered to see how she serviced other customers and someone asked if water was free and she said to him "since when did you know anything to be free" free yourself from this place people unless you like getting treated like $hit. read more

I agree with many of the other reviews! Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is a the best way to go! Portion of meat is generous, bread is sturdy to hold portion of meat, but soft enough to enjoy. Service is fast and friendly! Lido's came out to two events at my work and were by far the crowd pleaser. Sandwich is served along with a bag of chips--ensuring you feel satified after your meal. Philly cheese steak is enough to be share among two people as I did. Looking forward to Lido's next visit or catching up with them around the area at another event. read more

Sandwich was perfect and honestly I didn't know that I even liked Philly cheesesteaks because I went for funnel cake. This was the most amazing sandwich ever, from the soft bread to the tasty meat, fresh mushrooms that had their own thing going on and he cheese that totally coated my mouth. So this week Lido's joined the line up at Food Truck Friday in Lompoc. Wow! So completely impressed! I grew up in the Philadelphia area. I return every summer and first thing on my list is a cheese steak! Well, due to COVID there was no trip this summer, but Lido's made me inexplicable happy with their cheese steak! The highest compliment I can give it that these steaks are just like home! If you want to find out what a Philly cheese steak is with out traveling all the way to PA, this is your place! History

Established in 1990.

Lidos has been in Santa Maria for around 25 years, it was started by Lee & Beth Specca, they sold it to another gentlemen whom Daniel worked for his senior year of high school at Righetti, Daniel was told that he was going to be out of a job because Lidos was being sold. Well he decided he wanted to buy Lidos and with the advice from his family, he purchased it in 2002, he had the storefront for 4 years, that is where he met his wife Alisa, they ran it together until they moved out of the storefront in October 2006. Since then they have had pop up tents doing concessions at different venues on the Central Coast, mostly large scale events such as Concerts at Avila Beach Golf Resort, 4th of July in Santa Barbara, and numerous other events. But it has always been a dream to own a food trailer, so in March 2017 they purchased their bright red 20 ft. Custom built trailer! And have been expanding where they take Lidos out to!

Meet the Business Owner: Alisa U.

It is a team effort Daniel and Alisa own the business together. Daniel is the cook, and the mechanic. Alisa runs the front end of the business and works the phone, email. She also works the register when their 13 year old daughter isn't there!! It was always a dream of Daniels to own a business, and now to have his family running it with him has made all the hard work worth it!!

We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. We got one just in case, but didn't seem like you needed one if you visited on a weekday. We ordered the spencer steak, which is a fattier ribeye. It came with 8, 16 and 20oz. We went bang-for-buck and got the 20oz. It came with all sorts of stuff. The steak came with a side item, salad, beans, garlic bread and ice cream! Wow, that's a lot. All the tables came with salsa. Its nothing special, and legit tasted like the jarred salsa from a local groceries store. Pretty bad but pairing it with steak made sense. Idk how, it just did. The steak flavoring was fine, the burnt taste was great. A bit on the saltier side, but didn't bother me. The baked potato was great, esp to ease the salty steak. We definitely looked forward to finishing out with ice cream, which we learned was just Thrifty ice cream. No matter, tasted great! The ambiance of this place was definitely not fancy steakhouse. Think of old-school steakhouse. Lots of worn-out charm, but an amazing oak grill that does all the work in the back. Yah, worth checking out.

One employee, Anahi, was feverishly working behind the counter - ALONE. Yes, this poor woman was left out to dry and go it alone for at least the dinner rush. (I didn't ask how long her shift was. She was called from her regular store in the local mall, which I was told has never had this problem.) When it came time to order, they were out of certain items. Not a really big deal because it's a sandwich and I'm flexible, but it does say something that they either did not have the supplies (management's fault) or the line worker didn't have time to grab extra supplies because she was so busy (again, management's fault). My meal was just fine. As a guy who used to work in fast food I know how hard it is, even with a full staff. But to go at it alone? I would've closed the store and told everyone to leave. I hope Anahi never takes another offer to come help this store out and is rewarded for enduring through this treatment. (NOTE: The one star DOES NOT reflect the customer service I received from Anahi; she rocked. The bad rating is for the store, in general; specifically, the management.)

No soap, wax or tire cleaner was distributed on my car.....just water. I went in and notified cashier and on-site manager. *8/5/25 at approximately 12:45. I mean I didn't even kick it off with my traditional "howdy folks." But seriously, this is the best ice cream that I've ever had in my whole life and I'm going to tell you all why. So strap on your safety belts and let's drive right into it. I recently tried Nite Creamery's ice cream for the first time the other night. But this isn't the first time I've ever been here. I visited this location a few months back when myself, and fellow activist Matthew The King, came here to conduct a First Amendment Audit. But ever since then I've been curious about this place. There was something about Nite Creamery that set it apart from the other businesses in the area. Could it be that mysterious fog like substance that creeps over the counter? Well, there's a reason for that and I will explain that in a bit. But regardless of the reason, I just had to return and try their ice cream. Boy oh boy am I glad I did. So I ended up coming to Nite Creamery on a Wednesday evening and I am glad that I chose a week night for my first visit because this place can get pretty packed on the weekend. But I was able to walk right up to the counter where I was greeted by two friendly employees, a dark haired girl and a chubby Filipino guy. Both of them had smiles on their faces and seemed happy to be. For all I know maybe they hate their job. But if they do, they're doing a pretty good job hiding it. Now the next step was to place an order. I bet you didn't see that coming. But their ordering system is a little bit different than most places. One of the employees explained to me that how it works is you place your order on a touch screen pad and then pay with whatever payment method you're using. This was kind of nice as I felt less pressured without having someone standing over me while I try to decide what I want. But I still kind of miss the good ol' days of a real human being taking your order. But hey. This is 2026, not 1996. Anyways, I ended up going with this ice cream called the Salted Carmel Crumb. One of the things that first caught my attention was the fact that they place a pretzel on top of the scoop of ice cream. Yes I'm serious. A pretzel on ice cream. I bet you never heard of that before. Well, that is unless you have been to Nite Creamery before. Enough about how the ice cream looks. Let's talk about how it tasted. This ice cream is PHONOMENAL! It truly is better than s**. They don't make ice cream in the traditional way like they do at most ice cream parlors. At Nite Creamery they mix the ingredients and then freeze it right on the spot. That's where the mysterious fog comes from. But yeah that's what they do at Nite Creamery and I'm glad they do it that way. The reason being is you get a richer creamier ice cream that is full of flavor and tastes oh soooooooo good. I liked it so much that when I was finished, I walked back in and ordered another one. Only this time I went with the All Niter. That was phenomenal as well. If you've made it through this entire review I will assume that you get it that I love Nite Creamery. I really do love this place and I hope they'll continue to remain in the community for year's to come. So with that being said, I think I will go ahead and sign off for now. If you live on the Central Coast and want to try some ice cream that is better than s**, I highly encourage you to head over to Nite Creamery. You won't be disappointed. It's self order on an iPad instead of someone taking an order and they no longer accept cash. You used to be able to enjoy indoor and outdoor seating, they had plants, and a nice feel. Now everything is black, painted over the old logos which you can still see, no seating and just gives a run down no one cares kind of vibe. Really such a shame to see if go down hill like that.
