Had the chicken tenders and fries. Chicken ok. A bit dry. Fries were better... good and crispy. Next time the truck was at an event they ran out after 20 minutes. Rude kid suggested a cheese burger. After waiting in line for 30 minutes I suggested they cross out the chicken on the whiteboard menu. Kid said they were too busy. It was better that patrons waited in line to get to the window to find out they were not prepared. Then I tried the new crispy chicken tenders at Micky D. Wow, so much better than Lidos. And 1/3 the price with fries! read more

I came to Lido's after telling some friends about my horrible "cheesesteak" I had at Jim's Burgers in Santa Maria. All my friends raved about the cheesesteak at Lido's, and I wasn't disappointed at all after I tried it for the first time. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly, it had a nice ratio of cheese, and the bread was the perfect type of bread for a cheesesteak. I also ordered it with jalapeño because I like mine a little spicy, and it added a nice kick of spice. The beef was seasoned really well, and had the perfect saltiness to it. All in all I am super excited to know Lido's is in town about at least once a week, and I plan on going back often. I love the convenience of being able to order and have your sandwich ready at a specific time by texting them in advance, plus the gentleman(possibly the owner?) who made the cheesesteak was really laid back and had a great attitude. The food truck came to Monarch Dunes today. My wife ordered the Philly Cheese steak and I ordered the chicken parmigiana. Both were served with curly fries. As for the Chicken parmigiana: it was perfectly cooked. All white meat and not over cooked. The sauce seemed very fresh: not prepackaged. My only gripe it didn't have more flavor. The bread (for both sandwiches) didn't fall apart from the sauce or weight. Curly fries were the best I have had to date on the Central Coast. Kudos! The cheese steak is made from rib eye. No gristle or extra fat was found. Not nearly as good as the real deal but THE BEST I have had in 25 years in California. I got a chance to look inside and it was very clean and orderly. Cheese steak was phenomenal. The meat was well seasoned and tasted fresh. The bread was soft but sturdy enough to contain the generous portion of meat. Prices are on par with other food trucks and the sandwiches were done in about 3-5 minutes which is a bonus when you are on a lunch break. I will be back for more. read more

Lidos has probably made its name in a podunk town like santa maria, but when they come into santa Barbara for a big event they are rude and disorganized. I had the pleasure of dealing with LISA who has absolutely no personality. She doesnt realize her line has a vinyl banner over that's says funnel cake and that any reasonable person would think falling in that line would allow them to purchase a funnel cake but when asked if I could purchase one despite her misplaced signage all she could say was "uh huh ok" everything leads me to believe this is some family operation and she stopped caring. I even hung around after I ordered to see how she serviced other customers and someone asked if water was free and she said to him "since when did you know anything to be free" free yourself from this place people unless you like getting treated like $hit. read more

I agree with many of the other reviews! Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is a the best way to go! Portion of meat is generous, bread is sturdy to hold portion of meat, but soft enough to enjoy. Service is fast and friendly! Lido's came out to two events at my work and were by far the crowd pleaser. Sandwich is served along with a bag of chips--ensuring you feel satified after your meal. Philly cheese steak is enough to be share among two people as I did. Looking forward to Lido's next visit or catching up with them around the area at another event. read more

So this week Lido's joined the line up at Food Truck Friday in Lompoc. Wow! So completely impressed! I grew up in the Philadelphia area. I return every summer and first thing on my list is a cheese steak! Well, due to COVID there was no trip this summer, but Lido's made me inexplicable happy with their cheese steak! The highest compliment I can give it that these steaks are just like home! If you want to find out what a Philly cheese steak is with out traveling all the way to PA, this is your place!
