Food wise, Wingstop never disappoints 10/10 for sure. Customer service is always great, no bad reviews on that part-- maybe except for one instance (which I will get to in a minute). I, myself, have worked in F&B before. So I understand that things can be a bit hectic & there's a possibility that orders would be backed up. With that being said, as a worker, I can understand the pressure, and so as a customer, I've learned to be patient and respectful during these times of rushes. However, as a server, I was always trained to inform my customers of any possible delays. For example, there are certain orders that take longer to make, so instead of the average 15 minute serve time, I would tell my customers that it would possibly be 20-25 minute wait for their orders. Or if we are backed up on orders because of a rush, I would tell my customers it might take 25-30 minutes for their food to be ready. Whenever I make an order at Wingstop, the cashier would always tell us that it'll take 18 minutes for the food to be ready. However, I'd be waiting for 30 minutes. And one time I even waited 45 minutes for my order. When I got up to ask for an update on my order because it's been 40+ minutes (I always look at the receipt for confirmation on what time the order has been processed/what time my payment was settled), the employee was a bit rude. Instead of asking me to kindly repeat myself, she just said, "what?" Then proceeded to ask for my name for the order, in which she just walks away after telling her. Another employee behind her actually came up and had my order ready in his hands, in which he was nicer and more respectful. My point is, I don't mind having to wait a little longer for my food. Because again, I love Wingstop. As a customer though, I would appreciate it if the staff would inform us of any possible delays. Because being told the wait time is 18 minutes, but waiting for 30 minutes instead is a bit disappointing. Or even just an update through the waiting process like, "I know we said 18 minutes, but the order may take an additional 10 minutes" would be fine as well. I think just some sort of communication and reassurance between staff and customers would be great. Also, as a worker, I think if you communicated this well to your customers, it could ease off some of the pressure and it wouldn't feel like you need to rush. I hope next time I visit, my 18 minute wait time won't end up 30+ minutes (: especially if I don't order that much because it's only meant for 2 people. read more

I've never eaten wings from Wing Stop before and decided to give the brand new Oak Harbor store a shot. My first experience was difficult for me. I have some hearing loss from my military service and the noise from the kitchen, behind the counter, was very loud. The noise combined with my hearing loss and having to wear masks due to Covid-19 restrictions made it very difficult for me to understand the counter employee. But we managed by raising our voices. I placed my order for 6 bone-in wings with fries and a small (20oz) drink. After I paid with my debit card (cash is also an option), I was presented with an empty drink cup so I could select my own choice from the drink dispenser (Coke products). For the spice level I ordered "Atomic". If you aren't familiar with Wing Stop, that's their hottest option! I'm a fan of spicy food. I love it! Atomic spice level was almost too hot for me to handle, but I made it through . The fries helped make it through the spice. Dipping sauce is available, but I declined the offer. The Oak Harbor Wing Stop does NOT offer indoor seating. They accept orders for take-out and delivery only. I think my next order will be the second hottest choice, habanero garlic. read more

I keep seeing reviews saying they are randomly closed when they are supposed to be open or that the hours on the door are different than what the official compnay closing time is. They have been extremely short handed since last October(21) due to people leaving during the pandemic. Sometimes you can't even order delivery because they may only have 2 employees there to handle the load. MY missing star is because the fries which we always ask for well done so they are crisp, are always soggy and we have to heat them in our oven after delivery. I was told my order was being worked on at that moment and to wait outside and it would be brought out to me when ready. I joined about 10-15 people outside, and one by one they all got their food. Mind you, it was FREEZING out. The crowd hadn't thinned whatsoever, because as those who got their orders left, more arrived. Yet I was still waiting! I finally asked again, if they were sure my order was coming, and lo and behold it was sitting inside on the warmer for who knows how long. Not cool! Was super excited to try out the new place in Oak Harbor. We ordered online (bone in wings and fries) and picked up 15 minutes later. It was ready to go and still hot by the time we got back home. The Buffalo wings were the closest to authentic Upstate New York wings I've had. The Korean wings were good too and the fries were skin on floppy fries with a tasty seasoning. Today I ordered a chicken sandwich from here and was very traumatized, never have experienced this in my life. The chicken was RAW, i took a bite out of it and was met with pink chicken. I feel sick to my stomach and had to throw up. Hopefully no other health concerns happen, but I feel very sick and will never order from here again. They offered a refund, but that does not make up for the issue. Wow. When we first heard a Wingstop was coming to town my entire family was excited. We had never had it before but the brand comes with high marks. We waited a bit before trying because anything in this town that is new gets inundated with crowds. Last night we decided. Yup...let's do it. My wife tried the app and it wouldn't work for our area. New location, got it. She called and was put on hold for 13 minutes and 26 seconds. As soon as someone picked up, the line disconnected. Needed to drink a beer after that. Called again. 23 minutes later.....no answer...more beer. Still on hold. All the FB people said they ordered on line so we tried the app again and finally got it. Getting excited now. We new they were busy so we waited a full hour before Grandpa volunteered as tribute to go and stand in that ridiculous line. We waited so long that I had to drink several more beers, shave, and managed to get half way through War and Peace before Grandpa finally arrived. Terrible. Just terrible. All the food was cold. The French fries were soggy and noodle like. Someone ordered Venom fries or something like that. Basically it was those cold noodle fries swimming in cold cheese sauce. We attempted CPR by putting the fries in the air fryer but it was too late. They were gone. The look on my child's face was devastating. She just went upstairs and we didn't see her for the rest of the night. Ok. Let's get to the Wings!!! Are you serious? This is a Wing establishment. Very disappointed. We got a variety of styles and flavors. The mild wings were completely flavorless. There was NO SAUCE! Boneless Mango Habanero, soggy and sad like the fries. The regular Buffalo Wings...a good measure of a Wing Establishment....very short of spectacular. A similar wing of this caliber could be found at any of the pizza joints we have in this town.
