I recently had a great experience at Applebee's! From the moment my friend and I stepped inside, the place felt super welcoming, and the staff was amazing. A big reason our visit was so enjoyable was Shawna, the manager. She was incredibly friendly, greeting everyone with a warm smile and making us all feel right at home. You could really see her professionalism shine through. She kept a close eye on the dining room, making sure everything was running smoothly, and even helped us quickly and gracefully with a small question we had. It was clear she knows a lot about both the food and how the restaurant operates because she answered all our questions completely and confidently. The food was delicious, and the whole team provided excellent service, but Shawna's presence and leadership really made the experience stand out. It's clear she expects nothing but the best when it comes to customer service. We're definitely planning to go back very soon! read more

Went here for dinner. Ordered an appetizer and my entre. We waited 50 minutes for our appetizer to come out. Then as soon as we got our appetizer, our main dishes came out. So by the time we got to it our food was cold. Then our waitress hardly checked on us. 10/10 service sucked. read more

The nice thing at Applebee's... They are pretty consistent wherever you go. You know what to expect and which is why they do a lot of business. I prefer the happy hour because of the half-price appetizers that they have. The beers are always ice cold. Specifically, about the oak harbor location... A couple of years ago I wrote a review about how they can't get an order right to save their lives. I also wrote that I'll forget how pathetic they are at their jobs and try again. It just happened, I forgot and ordered delivery. I called the restaurant after I ordered and asked the lady that answered to please ensure that the burger was well done. She told me that this particular burger was always well done because the patties are small. I asked if she would say something anyway, she said yes, but she blew me off. Pink in the burgers. I hope the next rare thunderstorm we get through here has a lightning bolt with Applebees name on it. Hopefully a camera picks up the lightning strike and I get to watch this place burn to the ground. read more

Wow....I don't think I will EVER give these people my money again. This review has been a long time coming. A few weeks ago I ordered a steak with mash potato's and broccoli. The steak was terrible, the potato's were cold, and the broccoli smelled funny. Then a week a later, took my wife and daughter out and got a chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken tasted awful. It was obviously "re-fried" as the color was doo doo brown. It was NOT fresh at all. The fries also were not edible. All my daughter eats is French fries and she wouldn't eat them. Fast forward another week. There was literally nothing open other than Applebees. Did you know everyone calls it "Crapplebees"? I decided to give it one more chance. I ordered the Classic Combo App. Geez....Im convinced the cook is doing something to my food. Anyhow. I gave it several attempts and I'm just not impressed. I will say the staff is very courteous and attentive, the bar is great!!!! Love the beer. I just refuse to eat here anymore. read more

Currently sitting in the waiting room was told 20 Mins they paged us so we came in. Now they are saying we actually have no idea how long the wait is going to be the kitchen is backed up. No one is willing to go in and actually ask the kitchen how long the customers have to wait. Wasting our time obviously couldn't careless about their customers. Empty tables all over the place but not willing to sit people. I recommend to go elsewhere. Maybe the manager will actually read this review and make changes. read more

Although the staff were extremely nice and the service great, this was possibly the worst meal I've had at any establishment in years. Certainly the worst ever at any Applebees. The ribs were hard and dry, for which the chef appeared to have attempted to cover by using far too much lukewarm barbecue sauce. The fries were inedible, and the salad was full of dirt. I got the boneless wings, but when they came out, they were cold so I had them redo it and after everyone finished eating but me the wings finally came out but I wasn't even hungry when they came out. Who would've thought that I'd love Apple Bee's. Stopped by here on a chilly night because they were open till late. There were a lot of cars outside that we thought they were busy but they weren't as busy. We were seated quickly. The restaurant is fairly large so it could accommodate large parties. Our server was nice but nothing that really stood out. She did her job. Now, the next night we stopped by again and our server was a young man and he was on point and something to rave about. He was pleasant, funny and very attentive. 5 STARS for him. Food: Pick 2 for $25=1 shared appetizer and 2 entrees. I had the grilled chicken with shrimp. This was a winning dish for me. The meat was soft and the flavor was finger licking good. Tupac had the 1/2 rack of ribs with 2 sides. We asked for two sauces on the side so we could taste it; Asian chili and BBQ sauce. On my first visit, we had a few drinks too and my 2nd cosmopolitan was not made properly that I had to return it. The server did not question and quickly got me a new drink. I was a little leery of the Oak Harbor Applebee's based on reviews, but thankfully my fears were unfounded. My husband and I had an early dinner here and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our server Marissa made an effort to get to know us. We started off with ice cold drafts and mozzarella sticks and then enjoyed Crunchy Shrimp with fries and slaw and a Tex-Mex Shrimp Bowl. The food was delicious and hot. My best friend took us to Applebee's tonight for his son's birthday, and he said the last couple of times he had been there he ordered medium steaks and they came out Raw. I found it interesting since I've never had that experience myself at this Applebee's, but I noticed another review said the same. Our meal tonight was almost perfect. The steaks were cooked to perfection and where like butter. The green beans were amazing. The baked potato was perfect, and also quite large. If I were to have an issue with anything tonight, it was that the stake was awfully small, but still excellent. They were supposedly 6 oz sirloins, but my buddy's steak was twice as large as mine. The service was exceptional and quite good. Her name was Rachel and you really want her to wait on you, she has a smile that could melt an iceberg. The icing on the cake was that the bathroom was exceptionally clean. I live in Bellingham, and the Applebee's in Bellingham is nowhere near as good as the one in Oak Harbor in my opinion. If you're ever in Oak Harbor I highly recommend stopping off at this particular Applebee's. read more

Went in for dinner last night. I've been to many of their restaurants over the years and have been very happy with their service and food. Until Oak Harbor! After a day of traveling my wife and I decided to end the day with dinner at Applebee's. We went in and got a table right away, they only gave us one menu that we had to share. The background music was so loud that we were almost shouting to hear each other. When we ordered our drinks we asked the server if the music could be turned down as it was to loud and giving both of us headaches. After awhile she came back and said they turned it down one notch but couldn't turn it down any further due to corporate standards. Now I'm getting a migraine. The manager comes by to check on us, offers to turn it down some more but can't turn it down much further. Too late, the damage is done we will take our food to go and while your at it, I ordered unsweetened ice tea this is sweetened. I went out to wait in the car, my wife waited for the food. Then the server pretty much held my wife's hand while she paid for the meal to make sure she still got her tip. When we got to the hotel, we found that they had not provided any condiments, plastic wear or napkins with our meal to eat it with!!! How do they expect people to eat their food? read more

One of the better Applebee's we have been to. The service was good and we were seated in the bar promptly. I always get naked baby back ribs. They were moist and had flavor. This is one place they actually don't rely on bbq sauce for flavor. The server was good and joking around. Great place for a meal. Will go back on next trip. read more

I got the fish n chips, my niece ordered the kids chicken tenders with fries and mom got some type of chicken and pasta dish. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. My fish was flavorful, large and had a light crispy crust. My fries were delicious. They were lightly seasoned with some type of season salt. The kidsters chicken was fine as kids chicken nuggets go and of course, her fries were delicious. Mom loved her pasta and was impressed with the amount of juicy, flavorful grilled chicken in the pasta. Our waiter was very nice.
