I typically only visit the 3 Wingstops in the area (one in Riverbank, one in Modesto, and this one here in Manteca) and I have to say this one is always the best by far. Came here last night and had a great experience. The service wasn't that great; the lady that took my order hardly looked at me and sounded bored like she didn't want to be there. But she was only like 30 seconds of my visit there so I didn't mind it. My wings came out reasonably fast, probably sooner than the 18 minutes they estimated beforehand. And I'll be damned if those weren't the best wings I have ever had. Bone-in Louisiana Rub, it was to die for. They tasted fresh, they didn't skimp on the seasoning, it was truly magical. And what's great is that's consistent with this location. The service is sometimes better, sometimes equal. But I have never gotten a bad meal from this location, EVER. They've seriously got me considering making the 20 minute drive from Modesto to go have some more. If they have to take some of their resources away from their customer service and apply it to their cooking in order to keep making the food as good as they've been doing, that's fine by me. The wings are delicious along with the ranch. If I had a go to place for wings this would be it except sometimes the chicken is over cooked and chewy. I gave it a four star because its not always consistence but its almost always delicious. Walked in inside at approximately 9:30 PM to check if my order was ready for pick up. Worker ask if it's was online or phone. I stated that it was online order, I stated the name of the order. She (the worker) said she will let me know once it's ready. 30 mins later at approximately 10:00 PM, a different customer received his order and he noticed the time on the receipt and when he received the order. He waited outside and came after me. He went inside and wanted to get a refund because of the lack of service and the total lack of management. Once he came outside, I went inside to get an update on my order. The worker grabbed it from the table; same table that I notice that had several orders just sitting. I demanded a refund because it was sitting on the table for a little over 30 mins. The thing that made it worst was that the worker asked me if I still wanted the order!! Do I want me food after it has been sitting for 30 mins? Hell no! Online orders, phone orders and walk-in orders. With what looked like to me a short staff. I couldn't believe the way the customers treated the people who were working to supply you and your family with what I would not consider fast food. But wings that actually take a good amount of time to cook so they are not raw. To the customers who couldn't slow down enough to walk a mile in their shoes shame on you. My family and I frequent this location in Manteca, California approximately once a month. Today, 6/25/2017, we placed an online order as we were headed home from the lake. The order was ready when we walked in the door and we are thankful for this. I went to get napkins for our order. As you know - wings can be a messy dinner. There were no napkins on the dispenser. I asked the clerk behind the counter and she indicated that the store had NO napkins of any type in the store. She advised me to go next store to Cold Stone and ask for some of their napkins. I was appalled at her suggestion. My family just spent $70.00+ at the store and you tell me to go to a store where I have spent $0 and ask for their napkins. That is not acceptable. During our visit, we watched several others ask for napkins and were given the same excuse. What I fail to understand is why an employee did not take some cash from the cash register and run into the Dollar Store (across the street) or Target (adjoining parking lot) and purchase napkins for the patrons of Wing Stop. Having napkins is a basic necessity of running a restaurant. To not have napkins is unacceptable. A family came in placed their order and then went to get napkins, they were told the same situation. The girl behind the counter said the same thing to them about going next store or that they could take their order home. The couple then asked to cancel their order and for Wing Stop to refund their purchase. Basic Business Operations would point to going out and purchasing napkins to support the demand of the customer. Failure to provide the basic napkins resulted a loss in sales. Very poor experience this afternoon. I came in and placed my order at 11:50. It took over 20 minutes. I ordered 4 boneless wings and an order or carrot sticks. Secondly, there was a ladder placed directly in front of the drink dispenser/and area where customers can get lids for drinks, napkins etc. I suggested the ladder was placed in a bad location. While waiting for my order I couldn't help but notice several other customers having to navigate around to use the drink machine, get napkins, lids etc. I asked the other employee , I believer her name was Jennifer to move the ladder so I could get my drink. Have you ever noticed the difference in employee quality at In-N-Out? I believe if a responsible Manager, or owner were present the customer service would improve. I've read several other negative reviews about this location. If they continue on the same path without significant changes or improvement I believe their days are numbered.
