Curry Pizza House in Manteca is honestly one of my go-to spots. I love their pizza--especially the vegetarian ones. The Achari pizza is my favorite, I pretty much order it every time. Anytime we have people over, this is where I order from. It's just easy and everyone always likes it. Their service is also really good. I tried Curry Pizza House and honestly, I loved it. The tandoori wings were the highlight, super flavorful, a little smoky, and cooked just right with a nice char. Definitely something I'd go back for. I also got the BBQ chicken and bacon pizza which was really good too. More on the classic side, but everything worked the sauce, the bacon, the chicken, all balanced well and the crust held up nicely. And to top it off, the lady there was SUPER nice and helped me the very first time i was there. I have had the famous Lucalli's in Brooklyn recently and no joke... this was not far off in regard to flavor. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic! We got 3 different pizzas and one was a gluten free. We ate all the adult pizzas and our kiddo ate half of her specially made little pizza. I don't typically write reviews for Pizza joints as they all taste the same. When I opened the box I saw absolutely no grease and the smell from the ham, devine. We bought an all meat and Hawaiian. For the Hawaiian, the ham was perfect. Not too cheesy or muddled in sauce and the crust, oh my!!! So soft and NOT greasy. I can't eat all meat but my husband and son said that it is one of the best as they love how they don't have to dab the top of the pizza to get rid of grease. You can probably see my pattern here. This place was pretty good! Our go to spot is Bombay pizza in Fremont and this was pretty close to it. Better than Chicago with a twist. The flavors here are good but not as spicy or strong flavors as Bombay pizza. We tried half desi bbq (my fav) and half tandoori pizza and a side of tandoori wings. Overall service was good and the cashier was helpful and nice. Love curry pizza and so glad to have this option in Manteca near some attractions like great wolf lodge. We ordered the butter chicken pizza to go, which was totally loaded with mildly spicy dark meat chicken, a light curry sauce, thin sliced red onion and diced tomato. My kids gobbled it up! We read about Curry Pizza House in a recent edition of The Record (Stockton), and decided to try it while we were in Manteca. We had never had Indian-style pizza before, but always wondered whether it was a match made in heaven or an abomination. I'm here to tell you that it's a match made in heaven! We had half a chilli paneer and half curry chicken masala, and I can't decide which side I liked better. Traditional Indian flavors really did well on a pizza, and it was a combination of something really different with something really familiar. It's too bad we live 30 miles away, or Curry Pizza House would be in our regular rotation. PS - it's great that they use paper plates - which are compostable - rather than styrofoam, too! read more
