My family and I were in the area and thought to give this place a try. We've had Wing Stop before a few years ago downtown Chicago but never had a location close enough to go to until today. I definitely got the vibe from the cashier that she was impatient and losing her cool with us. We needed a few min. To study the menu and low and behold the cashier got it wrong anyway. Apparently you can't mix regular wings with boneless. I wanted a few regular and boneless but she wasn't having it until she finally gave in. I mean, why is it difficult to give the customer what they want? Then my husband ordered the #8 combo but he was given boneless wings. I noticed afterward she never repeated our order back to us. Since my husband said #8 it was assumed regular wings but she typed it as boneless. You really had one job. I didn't appreciate the service we received or the impatience she had. We definitely wanted to love this place but we won't bother anymore. To whomever was at the register on 2/20 at 11:30 AM you really suck at your job. Customer service clearly doesn't suit you. Also, as I was walking out I saw her on her phone. That's not why you get paid, sweetheart. Two stars. One star for customer service. I never received the credit so I called back the next day (just now) wondering what was going on. This is by far the best Wingstop I've been too. I've been to a good amount around the country and in Illinois. None of them are as fast as clean and as Kind and courteous as this one. Let me also say it's also in a busy area. The thing that makes this the best one other than the quick and delicious service, I would say is how how your treated so kindly when you walk and in the smiles on the faces on the people at the registers but also the people in the back cooking. We stopped at the Elgin Wing Stop on Sunday night and ordered 30 bone in wings and fries. We were extremely disappointed! The Wings were tough, dry and stringy like they had been overcooked. The fries were extremely greasy. We paid about $40 for these wings and fries and would have been so much better had we stopped at Paul's Restaurant or even Applebees. We have eaten at other Wing Stops and not experienced this before. We will not stop here again. Very disappointing, ended up throwing away!!! Actually "zero" stars should be given. read more

I went up to the register and asked the lady if our order was ready because it was supposed to be 15 minutes ago. Turns out the bag had been sitting there along with 5 others for probably 10 minutes! Wings are really good, of course, the Louisiana rub is probably my favorite, though I won't say no to the teriyaki either! Lots of different options for sauces and they have more than just wings, too. Fries are fresh cut and are pretty decent. Wish the prices were a little cheaper but can't complain too much! Probably the only complaint I'd have is that they could do a better job of keeping tables clean. Last time I was in I got take-out but I waited at a table and each one I touched seemed sticky from food. Otherwise, it was a pretty good experience! I stopped in for my first visit to try wings at Wing Stop in Elgin. I ordered the combo platter from the menu board of 8 wings, fries and soda pop. Wait for food was reasonable. When the counter clerk handed me the glass I went to their self serve drink machine that had an out of order sign except for a juice. When I brought it to their attention my combo platter that came to $10.81 after taxes, included soda pop, they offered to sell a bottle of pop to me from their cooler for an additional $2.79...I had to argue with the manager for 5 minutes to get a pop I already paid for. They were very difficult. Their wings have way too much sauce dumped on them. Were small wings. And I don't recommend them and won't return. read more
