DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS WINGSTOP! THEY SUCK!!
AVOID PATRONIZING THIS EMBARRASSMENT OF A WING STOP STORE! THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCK AND DESERVE ZERO STARS!
Read all the reviews on YELP about this location, they are horrible!! How is this place still open???
Here is my experience from 2 months ago, I copied and pasted this from my email to their corporate headquarters:
On 4/21/2014 it took me 2 phone calls and 25 mins to even get my order placed. When I attempted to order the first time the person on the phone informed me of the specials, he told me that it was 50 cent wing night. I proceeded to place an order for 40 wings total consisting of 20 bone in with hawaiian and barbecue flavors and 10 bone in hot and chili lime WET and 10 boneless hot and chili lime also WET. I also ordered 1 large blue cheese and 2 small ranch. The guy on the phone told me the total was $68.01! When I questioned him about it he repeated the total as $68.01. I then told him to cancel the order and I called back 5 minutes later and spoke with an employee named CRISTIAN. I told him about the $68.01 price quote from the last guy and he said he had messed up since the store was so busy and he would take care of the order for me and make sure it was correct. He then gave me a price of $36.43 which was still wrong since the first guy had told me it was 50 cent wing night. 40 wings, 50 cents each should be $20 and $5 or so for the dressings. I dont know where the $36+ price came from.
I sent my friend across the street to pick up the order and told him if they didn't get the price right then to just cancel the order and I would order food from somewhere else since I didn't have time for this incompetence.
So my friend picked up the 40 wing order that they discounted to $33.07 since he tried to point out that we were overcharged. We were still overcharged even with the paltry 10% discount.
When we opened the boxes of wings they were absolutely the worst order of wings we have ever gotten! First of all they were not wet, they were barely sauced. When we bit in to them they tasted like they were left in the fryer 10 minutes too long. They were burnt and as dry as could be. They were inedible and also ice cold. I gave a few to one of my other friends and she spit them out she said that they were disgusting, gross, burnt and dried out. She asked me when they were from and I told her they had just arrived from the store 5 minutes ago, she thought I was joking.
So needless to say the 35 wings or so that were left went in to the garbage and I ordered pizza from another local restaurant, the pizza arrived fresh, hot and delicious and I was not overcharged for my order like I was at the El Cerrito Plaza Wingstop.
The following day I went back to the El Cerrito location and spoke with a manager named Patricia. I explained to her how horrendous the food we received was and she said there was nothing she could do unless I brought back the wings. I informed her that I can go back across the street to the bar, retrieve the disgusting and burnt wings from last nights trash and then she could refund my money. Oh yeah, Patricia also confirmed that I was overcharged while I was standing in front of her in the lobby of the store. She said it wasn't necessary to go get the wings from the trash and she would call the owner BIKRAM to see what he wanted to do since she had no authority to now refund the money I spent on those horrendous wings. She got the owner BIKRAM on the phone and he said there was nothing he could do, he was busy and hung up on her. I told PATRICIA that I wanted to speak with BIKRAM and if he didn't have time to handle this problem then I would 1. Contact corporate headquarters, 2. I would have all 3 people that tried the wings that night to YELP about our experience, 3. I would stop recommending his Wingstop location to all my customers and 4. I will Tweet and Facebook my displeasure on my personal pages and my bars pages and twitter.
I finally got Bikram on the phone, he listened to what I had to say about our experience and the quality of the food we received and assured me that he would get back to me in the next day or 2.
After 10 days I still hadn't heard back from him so I blew them up on their corporate Facebook page.
I think 10 days would be more then enough time to get this resolved.
After a back and forth of 2 MONTHS corporate Wingstop mailed me a $50 Visa Gift card. They never did get a response back from the owner BIKRAM. It is more than apparent that this guy doesn't care about his restaurant or his customers. read more
