Nicely packaged order
Jamie S.

Wing stop is pretty good for fast food style wings. The cashiers are usually harried and kind of impatient. The inside of this location is gross. There wasn't even a trash can anywhere. I always order for pick up because I wouldn't dine inside. Wings are mediocre, but decently priced. This time though, I found a literal wing full of feathers. See photo for details of ick. I'm sure this happens sometimes, but it made it that much less appetizing.

I tried for the first time and liked it. It is better quality wings than BWW. The sauces could have been better but I plan to try more to see what is best. You will pay more but good combos and good wings. The fries were different with salt and sugar on them but good.

Fries!

I came in for dinner with my family the other night and found the seating here to be mostly empty (one other table occupied) but rather busy for carry out. Carry out is good during COVID right? The staff I encountered were friendly which is good and were certainly attentive. No dings on service from me on this review. We were told about an ongoing special with tenders and boneless wings with a side of fries. This doesn't come with a drink but overall a good deal. We sat down and waited for our food. There really isn't table service here as you get your own drinks and they holler at you when your order is up. That's okay I suppose. I've been to other places like this. Where I'm normally a traditional wing guy I don't mind tenders on occasion. We got a LOT of breaded chicken with our special. Like all breaded. I feel like the breading is way too much. There was plenty of white meat which is good but man there was a LOT of breading! This is mitigated IF you get enough sauce. The mango habanero boneless wings needed a good deal more sauce than what we got. Same for our mild boneless wings. The tenders, which are essentially the same as the boneless wings only longer also had way too much breading but had TONS of sauce. We found inconsistent sauce on our breading chunks of white meat. It is what it is, the food tasted good but left me incredibly thirsty, again due to the breading. Overall a good experience. I plan on stopping by this location again but will keep it to traditional wings. Also, our fries were uber salty. The seasoning they use is good, but for my taste bros WAY too salty. Stop by and check this spot out and see if the fair here speaks to YOUR tastebros!

30 minute wait to place an order and we were unable to place an order online. Staff of 4 were just standing around and not doing anything.

They completely took over a 2 story area and made it something unique and interesting. There are essentially 2 restaurants in one here. During the day you get a menu from "The Bramble" which is breakfast and brunch type fair and at 3pm it switches to Shaky Jake's, which had more burgers, apps, wings etc. There's also a circle shaped full service bar in the middle of the building and seats all around. It already is a creative way to get folks in the door. The food though, always excellent!! I've yet to have had anything bad here, but would recommend the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, any flavor of hot wing and the Philly burger. Seeing a trend here?

The food was wonderful and it was not their fault that they didn't have enough help. They were all decked out for the holidays. It was beautiful a waitress even volunteered to take our photos, which was super sweet. My burger was definitely a little dry and I did not need two patties, but that's how they all come. However, overall everything was good. I definitely wanna try other things on the menu. I appreciate they have daily specials. I tried the two dollar shrimp tacos and the shrimp was really good. Overall this is a really great place that I will go back to. It used to be a church and you can tell the space is big and beautiful and clean in the bathrooms were also nice.

We really enjoyed everything. I think the fried pickles were really good. I will say we both agreed they were on the salty side. But we kept eating them because they were tasty. There's plenty of sauces to choose from, one comes with the combo & I got the Rooster Sauce - which is maybe in the middle on spice level. Each sauce is labeled on the menu with the heat levels at the location (doesn't show online). I really liked the fries. More of a thin cut, nicely seasoned. The Texas Toast was slightly buttered & has a subtle sweetness to it. Speaking of sweetness, the Rooster Sauce is a sweet & spicy chili pepper sauce & paired well with the tenders. There were a few sauces that caught my eye, like the Alabama White Sauce, Comeback Sauce, even the Habanero Oil. The customer service here was really good. I was greeted & my wait was not long one bit, my food was ready in not even 5 mins. The place was surrounded by TVs. I went around lunchtime & it got pretty busy.

Fast food chicken restaurants with the best salad…read more The big franchises or the independent locals? Who has it, the best? I start this quest with a strong bias towards Slim Chickens in Broken Arrow. I have tried it several years ago and I was impressed. Proceeding with a redo of the fast-food chicken restaurant outlets. The competitors are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo's, Zaxby's, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken. Slim Chickens is a strong competitor. It has a big salad. Loaded with chicken, vegies and a bonus of onion rings. They have more varieties of dressing than a pack of Crayola crayons has colors. A five-star Slim's Salad today. This is going to be hard to beat. The chicken is good. Not the best in the industry, but good. Of the franchises, I prefer Raising Cane's chicken. Unfortunately, they are not in the competition, because they do not offer a salad. That's a good thing, sticking to the what they do best. Slim Chickens restaurant in Broken Arrow is clean. The service is outstanding for a fast-food franchise. One of the very best in service. Now there is something else. Nothing to do with the salad. The fried pickles. A heaping basket of greasy, crisp, crunchy, salty, spicey, vinegary, thin sliced pickles, with a perfect fried flour and corn meal coating. Dipping sauce NOT needed! I have never had any this good anywhere, period. Check the pictures and try them the next time you are in the store. Off to another chicken joint I go!

He runs more to the tame side of food, so this was a logical choice for us. TLDR: good food, reasonable prices and really nice people. Got there around 12:45, and were seated immediately. We got menus and ordered drinks and set about making choices. My son went with the chicken and waffles, hashbrowns instead of eggs, since he doesn't eat eggs. I went with my usual diner test, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans. The inside is clean, neat and cheery. Staff were busy but attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Son's chicken and waffles were outstanding, according to him. Chicken not dry and waffles crisp on the outside and tender inside. Not sure what syrup they use, but he commented that it had almost a cinnamon flavor that he loved. The dish comes with a berry compote type dip that was quite good. Hashbrowns were perfect. Crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. My CFS was one of the better ones I've had. Not the best, but certainly an 8/10 on all points. Plenty thick enough, nearly 1/2" and well breaded. Crust to meat ratio was good too, with only a little pullback on the meat. Brust was flavorful and not at all soggy. Potatoes are scratch made, and the gravy was both flavorful and plentiful. Green beans were slow cooked and once I salted them, they were great. CFS could have been a little more tender, as some parts definitely needed a knife to cut, but overall, a really good effort. It also came with a respectable side salad that I enjoyed a lot. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the atmosphere is typical diner, without being a greasy spoon, not that that's a bad thing at all. My part of the order ran to $18 and change with an iced tea, and for what I got, that's not bad at all.

Our server, Rebel, was the standout of the entire experience. She handled our large group single-handedly, keeping orders organized and service on point the whole time. Friendly, engaging, and attentive--she's exactly the kind of person you want taking care of your table. We started with Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and a Giant Pretzel. The wings looked good but fell short in crispness and flavor. The Pretzel was solid, but the big surprise winner was the Mozzarella Sticks--definitely worth ordering! For my meal, I had the Chicken Club with a side salad. The sandwich was excellent, thanks to the perfectly toasted wheat berry bread that really made it shine. The side salad, however, was a miss. It looked fresh but lacked flavor, and I wish restaurants would serve salads on chilled plates to keep them crisp. Overall, Main Street Tavern is a solid choice for lunch or even after work on the patio. The food has its highs and lows, but with Rebel taking care of you, the experience is well worth it.
