My recent Wingstop experience this time around wasn't like my previous visits aside from the great service. The team here is friendly and constantly pushing orders out. I placed an order online which was ready at the estimated time. My issue was the temp of my food (on the colder side), pool of oil and lack of flavor to my wings. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our dine-in order, even though the restaurant was mostly empty (1 other table ahead of us, and they were also complaining about the wait). Wings were very plain and seasonings weren't very robust. The boneless wings were just dressed up Sysco chicken nuggets: mostly mealy breading. Fries were soggy, limp and bland (with "Cajun" seasoning, which added nothing). They did have good ranch dressing, and the yeast rolls were delicious. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Not sure of all the negative reviews. After trying the New Hoover location multiple times I decided to call the Wingstop in Inverness. Tania answered and promptly took my order. She was very courteous and said it would be ready in 18 minutes. Hoped in the car walked in about 18 minutes later and it was ready. Personally I prefer to eat Wingstop at the restaurant because less time for food to cool on the ride home, but with all the craziness got it to go. Staff was friendly, wings were good. Greetings! When I moved to Birmingham three years ago, finding a GOOD spot was hard. So you can only imagine how I felt when I say Wingstop was coming to Birmingham! I frequented the Gwinnett Co locations and y'all it's the blue cheese that won me over. It must be a secret recipe or something! I would just order a large fry, which are so good by the way, and four blue cheeses on the side. Now as for as their wings, I'm usually a lemon pepper girl, or a hot garlic depends on mood, but the flavor doesn't disappoint but ask for extra sprinkles! Briefly speaking to the store coordinator, they will open up several more locations throughout the city and I can't wait. I also ordered the Garlic Parmesan dry and wasn't impressed because it was dusted with garlic and bits of Parmesan cheese. Ok so this will be 2 reviews in one. Inverness Wingstop 5 stars hands down!! The customer service is awesome and personable! Love love love THIS Wingstop! Hoover Wingstop, trash, just ghetto! Only went to this one because of the great experience at the Inverness location. Cashier and other associate completely lacked basic customer service skills. The kitchen couldn't be any better. Fries were soggy and I didn't have far to drive. Also, please tell me why my 2 orders of DIFFERENT wings were in the same box??? And a sauce stained box at that! I've worked fast food and many customer service jobs and there are just some things you don't do. Hoover Wingstop did all those things. Don't waste your time or energy going there. So if you've read any of my reviews you KNOW I am a Wingstop Guru! I've been to the following locations: Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Beaufort, SC, Pensacola, FL, Orlando, FL and Atlanta GA. I know these restaurants. I was so elated to find out we had one coming to Bham! So I tried it a few days after opening (To avoid that crowd) I order the same flavors every time Mango Habernaro and Lemon Pepper all flats. It was ok and the staff was really friendly. I tried it again, same flavors this time but the flavors were ok base chicken needed more salt. So we attempted again, 3x the charm right? We placed our order over the phone after noticing a lot of people inside. She stated the wait was 40mins we said okay and placed our order. 42 mins went by. We went inside to find they hadn't even started our order and couldn't even find it. Then we replaced our order. When we received it: fries cold no salt (we ordered seasoned fries) wings were bruised. We returned fries they re-cooked them this time little salt and overcooked. I'm sad, I mean I love this place but I'm uncertain about this location. Maybe I'll continue to drive to T-Town until they get it right. I really want to try them again. I am surprised by all the bad reviews I see here too. I have always liked Wingstop but had never used this Inverness location (they're fairly new here). I ordered 3 10 wing combos from them this weekend. Two orders of boneless for my kinds and an order or lemon pepper traditional / original hot for myself. All the food, including the fries was great. I liked them better than BW3 (which isn't saying much I know) but they were good. I don't know about the boneless wings but they're just chicken nuggets anyway so whatever. I was so excited that Wingstop was finally in Birmingham! Unfortunately, this franchise didn't provide a good experience. Despite the fact my order was incorrect, it was also cold. More concerning, serval employees were not wearing their masks correctly. One sighed over food *without* their mask and another was preparing food with their mask pulled completely down. Yet another kept pulling her mask down to talk and laugh.
