We ordered burritos that normally come with meat, cheese, rice, beans, and we add pico inside. The first order was wrong, we received two wet burritos, which we did not order. After going back and trying to correct it, I still received the wrong burrito. The big glob of cheese on the outside of the burrito was so thick. The insides only contained means and beans. The pico was given on the side & was not fresh. According to my boyfriend, the person taking orders looked confused at the sound of a carne asada burrito & wasn't very knowledgeable about what came in the burrito. This seems accurate seeing as how we both ended up with the wrong order which took entirely too long. Will not be returning. * 1 Star because I did still eat it, I was starving! & the meat had a decent taste.

I had the Williams Chicken special. It was amazing! It's chicken, onions, and vegetables, with cheese dip, served over rice. Heaven! Everything was cooked to perfection! The cheese dip is also great!! Overall I had a wonderful experience at this San Jose location and definitely will drive the extra distance to this location over the Dawson one!

Both my mother and I ordered the Cranberry Kelli with broccoli salad; my mom also ordered the pimento cheese; my husband had the Buffalo Barclay (two scoops) and the pasta salad. My husband enjoyed his meal (he took care of business before I could get a photo, lol)! My mom enjoyed her meal (I gave her my broccoli salad; for my salad, I forgot to ask them if I could get it without the bacon bits sprinkled on top :o). In any case, to me, the chicken salad was good, but definitely not close to the best chicken salad I've had. So, not a gigantic fan of the cranberry kelli. However, I can tell you that the pimento cheese, which my mom shared with me, was delish. Note, we both had leftovers. I do plan to return to this place, to simply try some of the other flavors - and because I am a fan of "soups and salads." I am now also a fan of the pimento cheese. Conveniently, different types of salads can be picked up from the "Quick Chick" cooler (pre-packaged items) which saves time from ordering and waiting. Good customer service by the way.

El Vaquero on Kensington was such a solid stop for our group. I ordered the L2 grilled chicken…read moreplate and it was delicious, way bigger than I expected, and they were very accommodating with my no dairy rule. I also had a skinny margarita that was genuinely so good. A couple people at the table ordered Micheladas and those were a hit too. The mugs they came in made the whole experience even better. We had a very large group and the staff handled it well. There were a few mix ups, but that is normal with a group our size. By the end, everyone was happy, full, and deep in good conversation. One of the funniest moments was the gentleman sitting next to me who almost picked up his plate to lick it. If that is not a testament to their food, I do not know what is. I also appreciated how willing they were to split checks for each person since we were all using per diem on a work trip. They did not fight us on it at all, which made everything smoother. If I had to make any comment, it would be about the timeline of service. Things moved a little slowly, but we were trickling in and our table kept growing, so we definitely contributed to that. Overall, it was a great experience with good food, good drinks, and a staff that worked hard to take care of a big group.

Never again!

I've been patronizing this establishment for 20 years, and I gave them a 4 star review 3mos ago on…read moreGoggle. Today on June 28th I stopped by for one of my usual meals, which is either chicken & broccoli SPICY, Lomein SPICY, Hot braised wings extra SPICY or Honey garlic wings ALL FLATS WELLDONE & SPICY. I went with House Lomein SPICY and Honey Garlic wings SPICY for my order. I actually haven't had their food in about 2mos because I've been on medical leave from work and haven't been able to get around as much. I sent family in with my order on a piece of paper written out in detail because I'm so FINICKY about my food. Also, I put my phone number on the paper if they needed to call for confirmation, because maybe my handwriting wasn't ledgeable. I always order the same 4 dishes and rarely change it up. Today, for some apparent reason my Honey garlic wings weren't SPICY or WELL DONE. I immediately called the establishment to complain about the mistake on my wings and get the situation corrected. My solution on this mistake was to bring back the wrongly made wings, but be compensated for my inconvenience. I'm home and exhausted from hoping on my foot. I was willing to get back out and come to their establishment despite my current medical limitations to get the correct order. However, the inconvenience, gas, and time should be refunded with the $9.71 wings on the house. My order consisted of 3 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 1 side. My entire order was $45.37, and I kept everything else because it was fine, but the wings were not. It saddens me that Great Wall's ownership couldn't see the fairness in taking a loss of wings that were prepared incorrectly and maintaining a customer for life. I will no longer be patronizing this establishment unless I have an ah moment that changes my mindset. I honestly felt devalued as a repeat patron/customer and won't tolerate the way I was treated. I know them from my job and have informed them about current sales and promotions. I honestly thought over the years we'd established a genuine rapport, but I was terribly wrong and I left upset and defeated. However, when I say I'm done with you...I'm truly done. I've observed a lot of restaurants could care less about customer's satisfaction, since Covid. The customer engagement, food quality, and service has taken a major decline and people no longer care about maintaining BRAND LOYALTY. Therefore, I'll take my coins and business elsewhere where I can be appreciated.
