Easy gotos r their- 1 'Something Fried' menu- Tilapia, Shrimp, Oysters, etc.. 2 Numerous sides like Boiled Eggs, Cajun Sweet Potato Fries, Seafood Soup, etc.. .. 3 U like to sit and peel? :0 See their Seafood Combos. Note - after 8pm, place really slows down :/ as far as food prep wait time. No issues w drinks or food temp. Overall atmosphere is still relaxed and sociable. If I could rate this a zero, I would. My fiancé and I went yesterday to celebrate Valentine's Day. We got there at almost 9pm and didn't get a seat until 10 - mind you they wasn't packed at all. We sat down at 10 and no one came to take our drink order until 10:20. When they came we ordered our food as well, I ordered french fries as an appetizer and rice to eat with my seafood bag. They advised they wasn't doing any more frying for the night.. I said ok thats fine. So when they brought our seafood bags they advised they didn't have anymore rice.. I said ok thats fine. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. I ordered the 4 piece fried catfish basket with onion rings. After 15 minutes the food arrived. Four pieces of fried catfish that were golden brown on the outside and raw inside. Oh, and the eight onion rings were cooked but with a pale brown hue. I returned my entire order. After an additional 15 minutes, a full basket of onion rings and THREE pieces of fried catfish. After an additional 3 minutes, the fourth piece of catfish arrived. The catfish was fully cooked but the onion rings were still that pale brown hue. Albany Georgia has better restaurants to spend your hard earned money with. OMG, the service, the atmosphere, the space, and the cleanliness of the restaurant were all spot on - and this is all before we even ordered the food! My husband and I were in town to take my mom to some appointments and to also do a bit of light shopping at the mall. After all of the running around, we were ready for a "hearty meal". Our first choice was Cracker Barrel (I love the country food, my mom loves to shop)! However, due to the wait and to the restaurant having only one dining area open where they were packing ALL of the diners, was a no-go for me. On our way to yet another restaurant, we noticed Juicy Crab and decided to give it a try. Great choice! We happen to beat the crowd apparently; there was absolutely no wait at all and we were seated immediately. The hostess was very pleasant and our server was super nice! We started with appetizers - wings, onion rings, and fried calamari - all very good, very filling. And the "Boom Boom" sauce was a great match with the calamari. My mom ordered the fried catfish with sweet potato fries and hushpuppies; my husband ordered the Sausage boil (sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes). I knew I would be satisfied with snacking on the appetizers, so I just ordered corn on the cob (but we did order another catfish meal to go!). EVERYTHING was delish!!! Fresh tasting and cooked to perfection. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that there was no "greenery" on the menu (salad, etc.). :o) My mom made a joke about me wanting something green and she suggested I order the "green mussels". I had to potty before the waitress came. Uhm. 3 of the 5 toilets were stopped up. There was toilet paper in the floor and 1 of the 2 sinks was stopped up... and the paper towel dispenser didn't work. #RedFlag Went back to the table to the steamed oysters my husband had ordered. Uhm... they were not even edible... and not steamed at all. We let our waitress know that we would like to cancel our order, pay for the inedible oysters, and leave. She was VERY sweet. The opening manager, Tommy, came to our table... he saw the not so steamed oysters & profusely apologized. Although we had no issues paying for the oysters, he refused to let us. Value was about right...we paid $50 for a bag of juicy goodness....2 big snow crab clusters, 1/2 lb shrimp that were a good respectable size, 1/2 lb of sliced sausage, 2 corn cobs and 2 potatoes. Everything was freshly prepared. We tried the juicy sauce mild for our seasoning... it was good but a little sour for my taste. I think I will stick with just Cajun when I visit again. We came into the restaurant and there was only one other couple there we ordered our food which included a soup and a family meal of seafood 25 minutes later when nothing was on the table, and I had spoken to the waitress several times already... I asked to speak to the manager. I told him that this was no way to run a business. I could not imagine that if there was more than one person in the restaurant, how they could possibly get food out to people. This spot is EXCELLENT. Khadijah (our waitress) and KE (the manager) were awesome. The food had great flavor and temp. We shared the Hungry Feast and could not have been happier with it. We had spoken with several people who raved about The Juicy Crab, so we decided to try it out last night instead of going to Albany Fish Company... Big mistake! The hostess was rude, the waitress was rude, the food was over-seasoned and awful, and the restrooms were disgusting! After we were seated and our waitress finally came over, I asked to see the drink menu (like the food menu instructed), and she told me they didn't have a drink menu at that time. Okay.... So then I asked if they could make me a sangria or tell me what wines or beers they had, and she finally told me they didn't have beer, wine, or alcohol of any kind "at this time". I'm not sure what that means, either they've already lost their liquor license or never had it, but they'd been open since September. A dozen steamed oysters were a whopping $25, and not only were they tiny and horribly over-seasoned, they came with nothing... No crackers, no hot sauce, no lemon, no horseradish, no cocktail sauce, and we weren't even brought silverware, plates, or napkins. When we asked for cocktail sauce to mask some of the flavor, it took a half hour to come out and we were charged extra on our ticket! Needless to say, we should have canceled the remainder of our order and left then, but hindsight is 20/20. The food did not taste fresh. The shrimp was chewy and tasted overcooked, the corn tasted as if it had been sitting in juice for several days, it was so soggy. Came down to visit friends and family, and just had to see if Juicy Crab is everything people keep saying. My boys and I went for dinner so let's start with the outside. The parking lot was clean and very well lit. As soon as you open the door you are greeted by friendly faces and an aroma that makes you think you haven't eat all day. The hostess got us settled into our booth and let us know our server would be by shortly. Not even 45 seconds later Nikita was at the table greeting us and taking our drink orders. We ordered our drinks and wings (appetizer) they were out quickly and smoking hot. Some of the best wings I've ever had at a non-wing establishment. I could actually see myself ordering wing trays for events, but I digress. The manager KE came over and told us that the food would be great or exceptional, and that there were no other options, because of it wasn't he would make it right (talk about making the patron feel at ease and excited to eat). Nikita went over all the flavors and spice levels so that we could make the right decisions for our taste buds, and she was spot on. The food was plentiful. We ate there, had some late last night, and I'm finishing my wings as I type this, and yes the wings are still good. Before we left the GM, Colin stopped by to make sure that we enjoyed our meal and thanked us for dining in their establishment. Hands down one of the best dinning experiences I've had in a long time.
