To the reviewer who DID NOT UNDERSTAND WINGS: Even in the best places for wings, such as the WILD WINGS CAFE in Suwanee Ga, wings must be small for flavors to come through and thoroughly. This is the business of wings. That's how to get to most delicious wings. If you ain't knowledgeable about wings, don't mislead others please. The cooking wasn't as fast as I hoped it to be tonight. I would have given 4 stars for speed. The wings seem to be bigger than pictured, the owners might have changed their policy to bigger wings just so uneducated customers would be happier. Try some of the Asian dishes. The sesame chicken and pekking chicken are great and the yellow sauce that comes with it is delicious. Most people never get the Asian but I've been getting it consistently for four years and it has never disappointed. Sure, the place isn't necessarily welcoming and it's not the nicest joint in town but it's cheap and it's good. we ordered lemon pepper wings, fried crab rangoons. the crab rangoons cost $1.75 just for TWO one inch diameter piece of crab rangoons, compared to other chinese restuarants which usually sell six crab rangoons for $3 or so and they are bigger. now the wings were okay..several were severly burned..I kinda have doubts that their wings were 'never frozen and always fresh' as advertised because I've ate a lot of fresh and frozen wings so I know the difference and they tasted like frozen wings. now I gotta agree with another reviewer about them providing soda in cans. even they had a working soda machine when they told me it was broken so we snuck a refill or two. overall, it was okay, but i won't be back. read more

Was passing through and staying at a local hotel. Went by the other reviews about the wings being small so I ordered 15 piece lemon pepper and large fries. I was not disappointed. The wings were delivered hot and though they were small I ordered enough. Crispy and juicy with plenty of flavor. The fries were thick and crispy. Delivery time was adequate. read more

We ordered through GrubHub so we could have delivery and not have to leave the hotel. It arrived relatively on time (delivery guy called twice because he had trouble finding it), but wasn't an issue. He didn't have record that I paid, though I paid via PayPal through GrubHub. He said it was fine and let it go since he couldn't reach the restaurant to ask about it. The reason for one-star is the food. We ordered a teriyaki chicken combo, super-sized, an order of cheese sticks, and a 1/2 lb chicken tender order, with honey mustard sauce. The teriyaki chicken was not teriyaki, it was some sort of peanut sauce. It was not super sized, we did not get the fries that were supposed to come with the order, and we got fried rice with the meal instead of white rice (though we had an extra side of white rice). The cheese sticks were cold. The chicken tenders were wet - not crispy at all, and the meat was actually wet. Not 'juicy', but *wet*. The honey mustard sauce was very bland and did not make up for the chicken at all. When we called to complain, the cashier was brand new and explained the manager did not speak English very well but she would try to call him. She also said it would 'not be customary' for a delivery guy to go back to a location if an order was wrong. That's very customary, not sure where she got her info. The manager, I guess, called me at 10:45 pm and I explained the situation a few times. He offered a credit or refund of the teriyaki dish, we took a refund since we are only visiting and do not plan to order from them again. He didn't know how to refund through PayPal/GrubHub so said I could pick up the $9 the next day at the restaurant. They opened at noon. So today, at 11:45, we decided to head over to Wingster and wait for them to open. At 12:10, I knocked on the door - sign still said closed - and a gentleman from the kitchen came out and explained in broken English that he was the only one there and maybe others would be in after about 10 minutes. At 12:30, another employee walked in and I was able to go in and request the refund, which he gave me promptly - but not without first calling the cashier and telling her she was 30 minutes late to work. Sucks I tried to call and place a order and I wasn't able to get anyone on the phone so I got my wife to call after several times calling they answer and hung the phone back up, so after making her mad she call back several times and when they final answer she was told they wasn't taking order in the most rudest way so after she ask for a manager she was told that the manager didn't care what they did and they hung up on her so after hearing that I decided to go by there and see who was so rude to my wife and I found two young people a girl and a boy both with there head on the counter, no customs, with the phone off the hook and it was only 11:30pm they stay open till after 2:00 am so when I came in there I was very upset but decided it wasn't worth speaking my mind at the time, so I just turned around and left, worst service every and make it so bad I did a lot of business with them but I haven't and will not ever return because of the rudeness that we were shown and I feel like I work hard for my money and I would never spend it in a place where it is not welcome and it just seem to be too many young people there who don't care about work is what I see. read more

The portions were tiny, and the prices are okay. The wings are so small that even 8 of them wouldnt equal four jumbo wings. I wanted to like this place because i live so close but I just couldn't grow to like it. I can't wait till a real wing place is opened in Athens. read more

Enter this place at your on risk... I had a taste for some good lemon pepper wings and decided on Wingsters because I had them about a year ago and they were great. Jason went inside to order them. When he got back in the car he stated " I don't want to scare you but the score was 81". We didn't think too much into it because it's on the campus and they gave students and maybe on the day they inspected, the restaurant wasn't that clean. Well! We drove maybe a mile or so and it was a very strange smell. I sleeked it but I wasn't sure and Jason said are those wings smelling like that or is that something outside of the car? I opened the box and OMG!!! The funk got worse. They smelled ROTTEN with lemon pepper sprinkled on them. We had to pull over and throw them out of the car. We should have taken them back but we were too far gone and tired. I know since I threw them out I can't get my money back. " You lose sometimes ". But I decided to check the score on the health department website and the reason for the low score is " Proper temperature holding ". So, to save yourself I night of the shakes, stay far away from this wing joint. read more

In Athens, for Athfest, which rocks btw. Wanted some wings so we found Wingsters on grubhub and the prices were decent, only 22 and change for 40 wings. Shoulda figured this was because the wings were the size of tic tacs. The three of us hoovered down these miniscule wings in ten minutes flat. Lets just say no ones hunger was satiated. In addition to the disappointingly undersized wings they also forgot to include anything else we ordered, ranch, strawberries for the cheesecake, a fork, napkins... Who doesn't send napkins to a hotel room that orders 40 wings? Then when I called Wingsters the first guy argued we didn't even order ranch, the second guy admitted we did and he forgot to include it but then said well there is nothing we can do. No manager on duty, no credit on the next order, no nothing. In summary, if you wish to avoid a growling still unfilled stomach and a headache from rude, unhelpful staff, avoid this place like the plague. read more
