    Scotch Menu

I haven't had the food there but they are super friendly and have the best scotch selection in town.

Work was supposed to have a speaker event @ 3 pm, then I was planning to mosey down to that evening's Yelp Elite event, but the speaker's plane got delayed, so his talk was cancelled. Figured I'd kill time, so I came down to Wings for an afternoon snack/leftovers for tomorrow. Interesting inside, reminds me of The Top due to hardly any light coming in. But, my my trusted Yelpers in general have given this spot good reviews, so I had to follow suit. Since it was around 3:30 PM, their was one older lady running the bar and one waitress manning the tables. I took a seat at the bar, and she was pleasant. Didn't rush me and chatted with customers when she brought out Their menu is got a little bit of a lot, even an "American Menu" with traditional diner-style sandwiches and sides. Read Mike G. and Mark K's reviews that Wing's homemade egg rolls are quite good, so I went with one. I got their "Minced Chicken" - aka Chicken Lettuce Wraps - to try since Mike highly recommends them in his review, too. Best. Egg. Roll. Incredibly fresh, easy to cut in half and drizzle with their homemade sauce, which, is lite and does NOT overpower the egg roll guts - HUGH plus. There's popcorn shrimp as well as pork, best of both worlds. Mike, Mark, Sandy, Hannah are all spot-on: this is a must try appetizer! High praise for the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, too! I think I got them not spicy, which was perfect, as the mix still had a faint hint of heat; it left some heat on the sides of my tough but didn't overpower the excellent flavor. Yep, I even ordered a second egg roll to go with my leftover minced chicken mix!! Price is very reasonable. $2 per egg roll and $9 for the chicken mix and green leafs. Ambiance isn't exactly over the top, but customer service and food are always most important on my list. I'm really glad I found Wings on Yelp a few months ago - I've seen the building for 22 years, but I always assumed it was a gentlemen's club, ha. I work half a mile away, so if anything, I'll definitely keep this place in my bookmarks for a lunch-time stop.

    Vegetable lo mein??

I'm still in shock because this was TERRIBLE. Everything was terrible. When I walked in the place was empty and I should have followed my rule that if no one is there then leave! Well I didn't follow my rule so now I'm out of $43 but I have a review to write. I ordered spring rolls and they were so crispy that I couldn't even enjoy them. Also the filling was so small that when I took a bite all of the filling came out. Terrible!! I also ordered vegetable lo mein. What I received was more like ramen with vegetables in broth. My friend ordered mussels s and half of them were closed. She said that they were okay but def not worth ordering. Also the cutlery was dirty and lastly the waiter was very pushy I think because she was more interested in watching whatever was on tv. I don't understand how this place has good reviews because this was absolutely terrible. Stay away you have been warned

If you love scotch and bourbon, ask to see the private selection menu ... he has amazing unexpected selections !

So a friend of my husbands come every year for his birthday for the past 14 years. This was my first time. I had pepper steak, and a egg roll. My husband had the orange chicken and a egg roll. There was a appetizer( ravioli with this curry sauce) the sauce was Amazing dipped the bread in it after the ravioli was done. Yes , you heard me right Bread. They bring you a basket of bread and butter. Odd for a Chinese restaurant but I won't knock it can't go wrong with bread and butter. The bread was soft too. If you decide to order make sure you ask for extra sauce. There dinner menu was huge, had lots of options but the drink menu had tons more! Service was great.

This time I ordered the Sloppy Joe and the Chili Dog again. This time I got Baked Beans and Greens for sides. He deep fries the Hot Dog and then grills it and adds the sloppy Joe mix on top. It makes for a nice slightly crunchy hot dog with a slight crunch to it. The Sloppy Joe was on a premium bun and had great flavor to it. Yummy!!! The baked beans had a slight sweetness to them. Now on to the star of the show which was the Greens. They had a slight bite to them, so tasty with a bit of pork thrown in for extra goodness. This is the type of small business we have to support. Making great food with homemade goodness. Check them out, no disappointment here.

All of the items on the menu looked appealing to me, but the menu needs work. It has items on it without any description of the items. For example, my turkey sub had banana peppers on them. I like banana peppers, but I know a lot of people who don't and can see that being an issue. I ordered online through the business DoorDash partnership, which created a cold interaction with the person working there. He kept telling me to show him that I accepted the order on DoorDash, and asked if it was my first day since I couldn't find the button. I then told him that I ordered the food for myself and his demeanor changed completely and was extremely nice and gave me the order. I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I ordered a turkey sub, coney, and a side of coleslaw. The order was completed in 9 minutes, so keep that in mind if you have a far drive. The food was very good. Probably one of the best conies I have had. It was all very warm and flavorful and had the right balance of everything. If I'm in the area I'd like to try more of their menu.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

Meatloaf, bacon, white cheddar, BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions and ranch on sourdough. OMG! Put this on your regular menu, Newfangled! My wife got the Joe Brrr, essentially a Turkey Reuben. This Sandwich Brought the Heat: My Visit to Newfangled Kitchen…read more Some meals leave you full. Others leave you talking. And then there's the Lucifer's Hammer sandwich from Newfangled Kitchen in Bexley, Ohio--which left me sweating, smiling, and seriously considering a second round. I'd heard whispers about Newfangled Kitchen for a while. It's one of those word-of-mouth places--no gimmicks, no over-the-top Instagram vibes, just damn good sandwiches built with love (and a little madness). So when I finally found myself near Bexley, I knew I had to stop in. The moment you walk in, you get a sense of what this place is all about. The decor is no-frills but full of personality--warm wood tones, clever sandwich names chalked up on the wall, and a retro, diner-meets-neighborhood-joint kind of charm. It's small inside--cozy, really--with a few tables to snag if you're lucky. But if the weather's nice, the real move is to take your order out to one of the picnic tables just outside. There's something about spicy meatloaf and sunshine that just works. Now, about that sandwich. Lucifer's Hammer. Even the name dares you to underestimate it. We're talking a thick slab of meatloaf--juicy, savory, slightly crisp around the edges--stacked with fiery jalapeños, melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and smothered in their housemade diablo sauce. All that gets hugged by a soft, toasted bun. One bite in, and it's clear this isn't just a sandwich. It's a full-on assault (in the best way) on your tastebuds. The meatloaf is the real MVP here--comfort food leveled up. It's hearty, flavorful, and holds its own under the weight of the spice. The jalapeños bring the fire, but it's the diablo sauce that steals the show. Creamy, smoky, spicy--it lingers long after the last bite like a good movie scene you replay in your head. But Newfangled doesn't stop at one knockout. They've got a whole lineup of meatloaf-based magic. There's the "Newfangled"--their namesake sandwich, topped with bacon, cheddar, and a tangy barbecue aioli that brings the sweet-and-savory energy. Or the "Phil's Delight," which throws in fried onions and horseradish mayo for a punchier, richer flavor profile. If you want something a little less volcanic than Lucifer's Hammer but still packed with character, "The Fancy Pants" is a solid move--Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and just enough zip to keep things interesting. And don't sleep on the sides. The mac & cheese is creamy and golden--exactly what you want riding shotgun next to your sandwich. The tater tots are crispy and nostalgic in the best way. And yes, they've got hand-cut fries too--salty, satisfying, and perfect for dipping into any sauce you "accidentally" save from your sandwich. Need something sweet to cool things down after Lucifer scorches your tastebuds? Enter the dessert menu. On my visit, there was a rotating selection of housemade brownies and cookies, and they were everything you hope they'd be--gooey, chocolatey, just-right indulgence that ties the meal together like a great movie ending. Newfangled Kitchen knows what it is: a sandwich shop with soul. No frills. No filler. Just really good food done really well. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit, where the staff greets you with a smile and a knowing nod when you point to the hotter options on the board. If you ever find yourself anywhere near Bexley, do yourself a favor: stop in. Order the Lucifer's Hammer if you dare, but whatever you choose, bring your appetite. Grab a picnic table if the weather's kind, and take your time with it. Because sometimes, it's not just about the destination--or even the sandwich. Sometimes, you've just gotta take the trip.
