I have been coming here since college. Always have a soft spot for here. I have long loved the boneless wings. Tonight I got the 8 piece boneless with the fries. We got the Cajun fries. Much to my surprise, even after delivery, they were warm and crunch. For the tenders I always get honey bbq, they're perfect. I also got the second to hottest buffalo which in my opinion isn't that hot. The only reason for the 4/5 versus a 5/5 would be the consistency. If you're looking for wings or tendies, Wings Over Somerville will deliver (literally and figuratively) but in our humble opinion, it's not quite the best in town. We placed an UberEats order: a 6-piece tenders meal with fries, and while the packaging was neat and everything arrived intact, the food was just... okay. We totally get the soggy fries situation (delivery life), so we're not knocking them too hard for that. What did get me excited was the variety of flavor options, for both tenders and fries. I'm a girl who loves having choices! I tried something new: dry rub Cajun Voodoo and Garlic Hot Buffalo for the tenders. My boyfriend went with his usual double buffalo obsession: Garlic Hot and Hot Lemon Pepper. For fries, I went garlic parm, and he picked Cajun. (We're a no ranch/no blue cheese household, in case that sways your judgment.) But honestly? The flavors didn't really land. Even with all those choices, everything felt kind of underwhelming. I got introduced to this place by my aunt it was great 5 stars all around a few months back but recently it has not hit the same. The wings aren't as burning spicy like hot should be. We also got charged for our ranch I don't mind that but it used to be in a nice sealed with aluminum foil with a chicken it front as marketing. Even the container to hold the Chicken is different it used to be in a plastic container that was reusable now it in some waxy cardboard. They say a picture is worth 1000 words so I think my photo could serve as my review of this restaurant, but I will go ahead and describe my experience. Pros: The food was only delivered 10 minutes later than originally estimated by uber eats. Given the reviews for this place that seems pretty good. The seasoned waffle fries were also ok. Cons: The wings were absolutely terrible. We ordered half honey mustard half red alert. The appearance of the honey mustard wings was completely unappetizing--the skin was soggy and looked undercooked. They were also sloppily drenched in sauce. The sauce itself was subpar--it really tasted like the honey mustard sauce McDonald's serves for their chicken nuggets. The red alert were better, but still nothing I would ever want again. The sauce just did not taste great (slightly bitter aftertaste) and the wings themselves were dry--definitely not drenched in sauce like the honey mustard. My husband also found feathers in one of his (you can see them in one of the wings if you look closely at my photo). In addition to just being pretty disgusting, the wings only came with one small container of blue cheese (for 15 wings) and they put all of the wings in one container so the sauces got mixed. Bottom line: We decided to try this place because there just aren't a lot of wing spots around. I also thought after a spate of bad reviews they might be trying to improve things and so they might be worth a try. However, this was some of the worst food I have had in awhile. Was really craving wings a few days ago and decided to give wings over a shot. I walked in to place my order and the first thing I noticed was that the place was extremely dirty. The credit card machine was covered in dirt and oil and the floors weren't much different. I should have taken that as a sign to leave, which I would've if I wasn't unbearably hungry. I went back 20 minutes later only to have some guy in a suit who speaks slower than molasses tell me to come back "in a while." So I gave it 5 more minutes. He responded that I do in fact need the receipt because I have to pay (which I did earlier).
