I was a consistent customer at wings mix and I loved it. But tell me why the lady at the front pressed me about refilling my drink . I bought 1 sm plate of chipotle fries, 1 small ranch, 1 small drink & paid $18+. Why am I not able to refill my drink more then twice??? I told her that rule was unfair and she argued with me about it. She claimed pepsi charges them a lot after I told her for an $18 dollar meal I should at least be able to refill my drink more than twice. I guess the customer is never right here. Lady really pressed me over a refill. I don't know if I'll ever be coming back.

I love: + the woman at the counter (super cute and friendly) + their menu + chilaquiles + their special: 10 tenders for $9.99 + speed + price The pictures alone can justify the awesomeness.

I asked for a little bit of sauce on the chipotle fries and as I was mixing up the fries I saw a puddle of sauce I think this will be this last time I order here.

My family has eaten food from Wings Mix many times before and have always been satisfied. So we ordered our Super Bowl wings from them today. Haydee took my order and payment in the morning for an early afternoon pick up. The cooks prepared the food when we arrived so that it was warm and fresh. Haydee made sure that the food looked good and that everything was accounted for. There was a small wait, which is totally expected today, but she made sure to check in with us as we waited. We got the Mango Habanero, Honey BBQ, Chipotle, Lemon Pepper and Medium wings as well as a couple of burritos. Everything was tasty and hit the spot. Kudos to the cooks for the delicious food and to Haydee for being on top of everything despite it being a busy afternoon. Will definitely continue coming.

Great food and service! Great prices. They give you servings worth the cost!!! The Chicken Fries are sooo much better than other local wing spots. Trust me I'm very picky!! Carne Asada burritos taste Authentic. Their beans used to be too salty but now they are just perfect!!! Rice is good, just a little bland but I don't like too much salt anyway. They really seem to just keep improving as time Goes by. I used to go here once a week and now I go almost every day. Don't judge me lol ! But I keep trying more things off their menu. The Shrimp Cockail is good but was a little too salty. It's been a month since I tried it again so I will get back on that soon. Excited to try the other plates. They have so many options!!!! A perfect One Stop for the whole family if everyone likes different dishes. They even have Burgers. read more

I've read the reviews and was recommended by multiple people and decided that I would give this place a try. Unfortunately, the hype was a little high. When we walked in there was a young girl behind the counter, who did not greet us nor even acknowledge that we were there. The bathrooms are very dirty I would recommend holding it before going to their bathroom. I ordered an order of 10 wings medium with breadsticks and ranch, the sauce was not good very strong taste of vinegar. The breadsticks were very heavy pieces of thick cut bread. My boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered the California burrito and that was worth the wait, HUGE burrito for a great price. I will give this place another try and will return for a burrito, I would call ahead as the wait can be very long. read more

This place always packs on the food I preferred a small chipotle chicken w fries and the tray was packed. You have to pay extra dollar if you want extra sauce or ranch. It's worth it and the burritos look huge. read more

Now if you're looking for a spot in the cut in Vista, CA then Wings Mix is the place. Known for tasty wings, they are so much more. Their fish tacos are awesome, their plates are delicious and burritos are huge. I not only recommend it, I'll take a Pepsi challenge on how good their food is with the local competition. read more

Really great food, huge selection of options, and very large portions. Everything is made to order so it may take a few minutes to get your food. Pick up a to go menu and call it in. My only complaints are I wish they had small size portions and more a la carte options. I don't have a huge appetite and the food is just too much for me. Fortunately I can usually find someone to share with. I also wish they renovated the bathroom, the sink and toilet look 20+ years old. It would also be nice if they had a few tall / bar height tables. I love their chipotle fries, and their mild wing sauce is actually mild. If you've been to Wings & Things their mild sauce still has some heat to it. I prefer an actual mild with virtually no heat like they have here at Wings Mix. read more

BOMB food all the way. Small restaurant at the end of a kinda run down strip mall. Came here to check out their chicken strips. I found them really good and a better quality overall than Wings and Things, which was my go to. I had the lemon pepper and the original hot. Both sauces were great and the chicken strips were good sized and tender. read more

When you walk-in, there's a never ending menu. On tonight's visit, I got a grilled buffalo chicken salad. The salad was fresh produce, seasoned chicken. This was one of the best salads I've had and it fit into my Keto meal plan. This restaurant has El almost everything you can think of. Wings, Mexican food, and fresh shrimp cocktails. The service is great. Friendly people and a great way to finish the weekend. I look forward to exploring new items in the future! read more

The wings were not cooked properly. Worst of all we ordered a plain cheeseburger and the cook put ketchup on it then must have noticed and scraped it off.My guest is allergic to tomatoes we had to throw it out. When I called today they weee so shady they said there's nothing they would do about it. treat customers this way Word will get around and you will shut down. Never going back! read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE is horrible!!! They leave you standing in the register while the employee is taking calls and ignoring the fact that your right in front of her. If your thinking of coming be prepared to wait more than 30min to pick up an order that you had already placed through the phone. read more

I ran into Wings Mix earlier this morning after eating at "La Nena" on the opposite side of the plaza. I stopped by for dinner thinking they would serve Wings and maybe Ribs or some other +1 item. I was wrong. . . They have things on their menu that really made me scratch my head, such as: Omelettes, Breakfast Burritos, Chilie Rellenos, and Ceviche to name a few. Already here. . I decided to stay even though I knew their overwhelming menu was a good sign for inconsistency. I ordered the 4 Tenders (Original Hot), came with an option for fries or bread; I chose bread. I also ordered an Adobada taco just out of curiosity and because I'm a complete taco snob and expected to be greatly disappointed, but still wanted to take a chance. The Good: My Chicken Tenders came out on an actual plate and were STEAMING HOT! . . .To the point I couldn't eat them for a few minutes. -I like that The tenders were crispy but not over-battered (a little less battered than Wings N Things) They give you tons of celery and carrots The location was clean, and the service was friendly The Not So Good: I could do without the bread-sticks; too doughy. not really any flavor other than the cheese sprinkled on top. The Bad: Never got my taco. This has me confused since I was their only customer and I heard her (cashier) tell him (the cook) verbally that I ordered a taco. Asked for my money back for this after I was done eating and left. The parking lot is pretty dark. . . I don't know if I even parked in an actual parking spot, but I just left my car in the middle of the pitch black lot hoping for the best. Not an area you'd want to be at alone if you don't know what's up. In conclusion, nice effort, but I won't be back. I'm leaning more towards 3 stars as an overall experience; but based off the tenders only (which I really only came here for... a solid 4) Best of luck to you guys. read more

Best chicken tenders in town and maybe also the best wings. The coleslaw is the best I have eaten anywhere. The tenders are made with large and thick pieces of white meat. The batter is not thick at all so they are mostly meat. Not greasy. Sweet and sour sauce is not too sweet like at a lot of other places. Wings are a must try as well. Lots of meat and crispy but not greasy. Coleslaw is hearty. The dressing is not too sweet and does not have a lot of horseradish. read more

I'm back to update my review from 5 months ago..So I still have my serious addiction to this place I have new favorites like the fish tacos, they have amazing flavor,the sauce is soooo good. I also am in love with the carne asada burrito, huge,packed with meat ,but really good quality carne asada not dry or overcooked...it's juicy and the guacamole and Pico de Gallo AKA salsa fresca are well balanced not over powering like some carne asada burritos are. These are definitely up there with TJ tacos which are top notch,so that's saying Alot. Chicken and beef enchiladas are bomb,but I have to stick to my original review the Chili Verde burrito is still the star of the show in my opinion To be continued until next review as I work my way through the menu... Keep up the same great quality, portions, and price Wings Mix and you will remain a success. read more

I went and lunch to try this place for the first time and took 2 coworkers. The place was dirty and I saw a roach crawling around the window by our table. (and so did my coworkers) wings were just okay. I thought this place would be my new "go to place" but it was very disappointing. read more

Good food by good local people. If you are calling ahead give them about 20 minutes. You can't rush tasty and fresh food! Buffalo chicken fries are LOADED with chicken and I cannot even get through a third of the total portion size before I am stuffed. Order the buffalo sauce on the side so you have some leftovers! Also you have to try the bread. Just trust me on this, it is a small charge for some big flavor and you will be upset you didn't order more. read more

I thought I was going to walk into just a regular wings place but this place has a nice mix of Mexican and American foods including tacos, quesadillas, hamburgers, salads, as well as wings and breakfast! Wow worst service EVER!!!!!!!! Just wanted some wings and substitute the fries for a salad and she said I can't get that to pick something else out because they're to "busy" to make a salad. I drove 25 minutes getting there and another 25 minutes getting home in order to try this place out, and there is a taco shop a quarter mile from me that I happily passed. I would make this drive every time.

Overall a fun experience, great vibe, and a good time!

I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.

Companies that CHARGE FOR CONDIMENTS will lose my business. I am already buying food, why are you charging me for something that I want to enjoy with it???? Please reevaluate your customer service and business practices. I will not be returning here and as for anyone reading these reviews, be prepared to be charged a DOLLAR PER any sauce you want extra. Oh and be sure to not take too much salsa or they will rudely tell you not to. SAD EXCUSE for a restaurant. I will be warning all my friends. read more

It's really disappointing when you spend so much money here, and then you get charged even more for extra sauce. I've read other reviews from here and it seems like I'm not the only one who has a problem with this. Please stop charging extra for sauces that compliment my meal. It sucks for your customers and they clearly are complaining. read more
