My biggest complaint with wings is that they are never crispy enough. But this is not a problem here. It's a laid back atmosphere with good prices and decent service. When you are craving wings, this is the place to go. In my opinion, it's better than Buffalo Wild Wings. The service is always great and I don't have to wait too long for my order. My parents live close to Wings Etc. and go there often. When we were visiting for Thanksgiving weekend we met there for lunch. My Husband is a wingoholic. We never miss Wing Fest in Chicago. We were delighted by the variety of sauce options. My Mom swears by the Tweener, I liked the Asian Spicy, and my Husband liked the Suicide. The wings were big and juicy and the beer was nice and cold. Very Good! The place was clean and service was good. We are looking forward to going back when we visit for Christmas. read more

Waiting... waiting..finally we grabbed our own menus. Server eventually came and got our drink orders, then app order. The server seemed annoyed from the beginning and wasn't particularly friendly. Asked us to place a ketchup bottle on the corner of the table when we were ready to order our meal. Really. We did order and good was fine, as ordered. I went outdoors and as I was exiting the building, an employee arriving for work stood at the door and watched me struggling to push it open ( I use a walker for an injury) I got through the door and I pushed it open enough for her to enter. Great bar / restaurant for sports, pub food, and beer. Very clean. Food consistently prepared. Family friendly with games for the kids. No, it isn't fine dining, but if want a great burger or some wings, can't do much better. Have healthier options too, such as fish tacos and grilled chicken. Service is top notch. read more

Went there with my wife and as soon as we walked in I was a little concerned. Small town bar feel, very dated inside. Wouldn't have mattered to me as long as the food is good....it wasn't. Our appetizers weren't the best but they were edible. I was just anticipating the wings because the wings of all things should be great, right? Wrong again. The boneless wings we ordered were warmed up with a little bit of sauce dribbled over top. Very dry, nobody likes dry wings. My wife ordered the garlic Parmesan wings which look like chicken nuggets with elmers glue. Needless to say we ate only a few wings and paid our bill and left. Ben I liked your review - good for a giggle. But, my experience was better. My tweeners were not the sawdust clumps you were suggesting - they were quite good in fact. Ask for extra sauce though. he kids got the regular wings and they were also pretty good, if a tad overcooked. The salads I got were good but small for what you pay - make 'em bigger guys, sheesh. My first trip there the service was friendly and fast. The second trip with my kids was definitely slower. Must be something about that end of town. I'm bringing an airhorn next time. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Do you and your family a favor...STAY AWAY!!! Called in to speak to manager about the wings being day old and then re-fried and then someone gets on the phone and wouldn't give me their name (later found out it was the actual owner.) He then hangs up on me because I wanted a manager, and when I called back he said get to the point or he'd hang up again. He was totally dismissive, disrespectful, and the food was the worst ever. When I told him i was giving a bad review, his response was I don't give a "expletive". He went on and on about how many businesses he'd owned, and I told him i have no doubt he owned other business that are now closed if this is an example of how he runs them. He told me to bring the food back and he'd look at it before making any decision about what he might do for me. Never been spoken too like that by any business owner. (On a better note I did later speak to an employee named Lindsay who was very pleasant...the only bright spot in this tasteless display of how not to treat a patron after a horrible experience) If I was starving to death, I wouldn't go back there to eat EVER!!! read more

I love the wings and have ordered for years, even had it at my two kids graduation parties. However, issues with my last three recent orders. All orders had issues and the staff did nothing to rectify the situation. One staff said her boss would call me in a few days because they were too busy to help me on that day, but I never received a call. I received the wrong order and they would not fix the order or give me credit ( I was given plain wings instead of dry rub, missing celery and missing dressing). I thought I would try one more time and see if I could talk to someone about my previous order issues, went in and the lady behind the bar was too busy eating and would not help answer my questions. She was very rude. Again order had issues, missing party of it... Very poor customer service three times... three strikes ... I'm done. Place definitely has a "local" bar feel. If you sit at the bar be prepared to sit amongst regulars (not exactly Portage's finest either). They have some decent daily specials but overall the wings are forgettable. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a wing joint. We had the worst experience. The service was incredibly slow. When the food finally came out it was cold. The chicken wrap was so small the wrap went around twice. I thought they ran out of chicken. I was worried that because I was in Portage, Michigan there wouldn't be a sports bar in town that would allow a lone Seattle fan use up one of their televisions to watch the Seahawk/Jets game. Luckily, at Wings Etc. there are televisions located EVERYWHERE in the dimly lit and somewhat worn down eatery. Our server was more than happy to flip the channel for me to enjoy the end of my desired game. After this was accomplished I was quite happy. Mission complete. I was now ready to enjoy some delicious bar food. Sadly, the food couldn't enhance my good mood. Overly hot sauce soaked boneless wings and mediocre fries couldn't keep the good times going as I watched my team beat up Sanchez and company. At one point it felt like I was just eating hot sauce breading as I attempted to dunk the humble sized chicken wings in the poor, barely Kraft quality, blue cheese dressing. Our server was nice and was very attentiive on my table's drink refill needs, but her service couldn't save the food. I just ordered 100 wings for the Superbowl, and spent around $70. When we opened the boxes it was borderline pathetic. Someone just threw them into the trays and drizzled sauce all over them, half of the wings didn't even have sauce on them... I don't know how you can specialize in chicken wings and not properly cover them in sauce. Also, I wasn't aware "medium" wings just meant no sauce at all, they weren't even buffalo wings, completely tasteless and no spice at all. Needless to say I wont be returning. read more
