The Google reviews are higher around 4 stars so it gives me hope that I haven't somehow lowered my expectations! We ordered both the bone -in wings and the boneless wings (AKA glorified nuggets/tenders) since half of the family wanted bone-in and the other half preferred the boneless wings. The hot honey garlic bone-in wings were my favorite. The wings were crispy and hot (despite ordering them for pick-up) when we received them. They have a sports bar feel with TVs all the walls with every sporting event that suits your fancy. I choose to get the "disturbingly huge home-wrecker monster dog with chili-cheese. This was a footlong artery-clogging goodness! The beef dog tasted like they special order it and the chili sauce tastes homemade. The dog is topped with nacho cheese and bacon. The bun remained intact despite the sauce and cheese. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. The wife ordered the wings with 1/2 garlic Parmesan and 1/2 lemon pepper. I've been here a couple times and it's consistent with other locations. The bartender was friendly but had lots to do. Those placing to go orders and pick up orders going out plus bar guests kept her busy. I ordered wings and some tots. The tots were hot but the wings were cold. I sent them back and the new batch was piping hot with lots of sauce. Celery that you wouldn't eat shouldn't be served. It's a rough item in every wing place I visit. Made the mistake of coming here on 4th of July. One waitress working that complained about her job more than she worked. We ordered chicken tenders that were OBVIOUSLY cooked too long. They were nearing black. We waited 45 minutes for food. Told the waitress we were not going to eat them. She said "were they too done?" You knew they were overcooked when you handed them to us. I ordered 10 traditional wings tonight of two different sauces and they were so bland tasting I honestly could not tell the difference between the two, they just tasted blah with no flavor. My favorite place for wings! Monday nights have 65 cent wings. Pretty fast service every time I've been. They have nightly specials and I enjoy their fried shrimp as well. I like that you can mix and match as many wing flavors as well. For fries, you definitely need to get the curly fries. I've been a long time fan of Wings, Etc (even had fun working as a waitress there years ago), but was pretty disappointed on our most recent visit. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday evening to grab a beer and something to eat. The place wasn't very busy and we seated ourselves on the bar side. There were several employees gathered around the register at the counter, but it took quite awhile for someone to acknowledge us and bring over menus. We ordered two large bars (Sunday special is their 32 oz draft for $4.50). We decided to split an order of 10 boneless wings (medium sauce) and a 1/2 order of curly fries. The wings came out swimming in grease (butter, magarine or whatever they use to mix with the wing sauce). The greasiness over powered the flavor of the medium sauce. The side of bleu cheese was pretty runny, but decent flavor with a few crumbles of bleu cheese. The basket of curly fries were hot and fresh. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and barely said a word to us outside of taking our order. It was $20+ for our two beers, 10 boneless wings and 1/2 order of fries which seemed pricey. I come here everytime I visit south bend because i just LOVE their say it ain't tso flavored boneless wings! The bf also enjoys the carribean jerk but I found that too spicy. Service is alright, but it's a nice place to hang out and grab some beers. Never had a cocktail here and no one I knew has..so I'm afraid to try them! Afternoon time it's kinda dead but at night on select nights it's packed! I love the summer shandy beer because we don't have it in boston so that's what i get when i'm here. Also the beer come in different sizes so you can get a real big mug of whatever you like! I don't think the Gar-Licky-Parm flavored chicken wasn't any good so I haven't ordered that since. The sauces (blazin Asian and garlic Parmesan) were not that good. B Dubs down the street sauces are so much more flavorful, and their wings are edible, crispy, and delicious. I was very disappointed in the chili as well. It was watery and had too much cumin and chili powder, made the flavors off-putting and unbalanced. I'm just disappointed because Wings Etc is not cheap. Visited Mishawaka Wings Etc this week with grandson his family for lunch He purchased some pull tabs lottery tickets while we waited for service . Manager informed him it was against Indiana Law to open them infront of his children ages 3 months and 4 yrs . So he got up stepped outside the door to open them . Came back in sat down he had a $250 winner ! Manager told him it was against Indian Law to open them outside of the building and now the ticket was NULL and Void !!!! He refused to pay for the winning ticket ! There are Abdolutly No signs up stating it's against Indiana Laws to any of this . He said if you take tickets home to open them they will NOT Honor payment of them . I think this snot nose manager is dumb as Hell . Must have been a bad night for the manager based on the unhelping response that she gave me. Simple take out order of 16 wings, bacon chicken wrap and 1 full order of fries. Sounds easy enough, accept that they forgot the bacon, so I guess it becomes just a plan chicken wrapped. If that is not bad enough, this is debatable, they also forgot the sauce. All in all pretty minor, but what gets my craw is that when they brought out the food and I specifically asked, was it all correct. Of course the answer was yes. My bad for not checking the bag, blame that one on me. Normally would not complain, but I gave a $6 tip on a $43 order to basically put my meal in a bag. Okay, that time of year, let's pay it forward. They are working at the bar so I get it. So my big beef is with the Manager (wish I would have gotten her name). I explained the problem (once again pretty minor) but at the end still wrong. Did I get an apology for the minor, but wrong order, NO. What I did get was, we will remake the wrap and you can come back down and get it. Really!!!! How about we will credit you for the wrap? or better yet, let us send you out a gift card. But sadly no. Will I continue to do take out from Wings Etc, reluctantly yes. Will I tip before I pick up my meal, that would be NO. And of course I will check the bag.
