Stumbled upon this place while walking the campus prior to the football game. Wonderful joint. Great beers. I heartily recommend the Church milk stout. Food looked good. Friendly staff . I could have stayed there the balance of the day.

Came here while visiting from our of town. Used google maps and it's hard to find as it's nestled in between the college apartments. It does have a Lu garage parking area and the building is fairly new. Nice patio located on the side with plenty of tables. Inside was clean. You order at the bar and then go find you a table to sit at. They do have a C small menu to order from and it's per typical bar food. I'm assuming most of its frozen An bed cooked in oven, microwave it fryer. I ordered one of their pizzas the margarite pizza. It's 10" thin crust and it's def frozen and they add whatever toppings you want or pizza you order and bake it. It wasn't good. Lacked flavor, spice and fresh ingredients. K tomatoes came from a jar and the basil was freeze dried. The cheese was mozzerella shredded. The only thing good was it was served nice and hot. I didn't finish it cause it was horrible. W I I food order I B went out to my car and saw the cook in the parking lot smoking a joint. It reeked of pot. Soo I figured my god wouldn't be fantastic. I wouldn't order food from them again. However, I ordered their Mexicali beer and it was delish. A light beer with a malty aftertone. Sort of reminded me of drinking a Mickeys when I was young. Overall great place to hang with friends for the beer. Wouldn't order food ever again. Support local to.

Good selection of beer and liquor. The food is delicious. I was with a group and we had the pretzel, salad with house dressing, and sandwiches. It was all delicious. Ambiance is lively. Bathrooms are clean. Fun place to go.

We recently checked out this place for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. It can be a little tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the area since it's the lower level of student housing and the parking is behind the building (signage along Twyckenham would be helpful!). We walked in to an empty place and grabbed a seat at the bar. It was a little awkward considering there were more employees than patrons. They do have a family-friendly seating area and offer some great daily specials. We started with a flight to try some of their beers, but really weren't impressed. Luckily they have some other crafts on tap and we went with Elysian Space Dust for our pints. They offer $5 pizzas on Sundays and we were impressed with the ones we selected. I'm sure they will do just fine with the captive audience of students in the area.

It's a strange little pub in the midst of a residential apartment complex, which makes it hard to find, challenging to find parking at, and awkward to walk to. With that said though, it is near the heart of Notre Dame and college life, so I expect that during better weather and on the weekend, it would be packed. Trying to have a sports bar theme, this micro serves up some fairly tasty beers and offers a cooler where one could purchase something that isn't on tap that day. We didn't eat, but the smells coming from the kitchen were nice and I thought about having something anyway...but I minded my diet and did not. I believe that we would go back and try again if we were in the area because the staff was friendly and there were other beers on tap that we didn't get a chance to try.

Last night was my first visit to Fiddler's Hearth, despite wanting to check this place out ever since I started dating my boyfriend, who lives in South Bend, a year and a half ago! Their regular menu looks sooooo good and their restaurant week menu also looked good! Just a note - only 2 of the items on their restaurant week menu appear on the regular menu, so get these unique dishes while you can these next two weeks! Like I said, I have been wanting to check out this SB institution for ages! Inside is adorable and absolutely maximalist. My minimalist mom would have a heart attack coming in here. So despite it being -5 degrees out, Fiddler's Hearth was packed and we were glad we made reservations. It was the first day they had the special restaurant week so it did take 2 hours for us to get through and finish everything because the kitchen had to make all these new items but I won't fault the restaurant for that in my review today. I am sure it is normally a well-oiled machine. My bf and I both got different things off of the menu but ended up splitting so we could try lots of different Irish foods. We started off sipping in some unique alcoholic drinks. I got the shamrock coffee which had Baileys and mocha. He got the restaurant week special of a pear and allspice old fashioned. His drink was very strong. Mine was delightful and I was a happy camper sipping mine. Round one goes to me for choosing the best drink. The drinks were about $9 for the old fashioned and $7 for the spiked coffee. Next round was our first course, the appetizer. He got the steak pie (a mini version of the Guiness Steak Pie on the normal menu) for the appetizer which was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and seasoned to perfection with lots of onions. I got the potato and leek colcannon cakes for the appetizer which were very leek heavy on the taste. I liked it but agreed his appetizer was the winner. Next up to the plate were our entrees. He paid $3 additional dollars for their take on a salmon wellington. It came with a side of brussel sprouts and potatoes. I chose to be a fatty and get the patty melt with medium rare prime rib, stone ground mustard, grilled onions, and a side of pretty yummy chips (ie French fries). It was a very wet sandwich haha. I personally think mine was the better one, while my bf thought his was the best. Sometimes, you just need a really wet and juicy sandwich!! Haha! Last but not least was our desserts. He was the winner here but just barely. His bread pudding was a calorie heavy delight, smothered in a white chocolate sauce. Mine was a cute little classic Irish dessert, a cranachan, which was sort of like a trifle. On top was a moist and chewy gingerbread cookie. In total, our bill was a little over $100 for tax and tip. A little expensive, sure, but we had a great time and came home very full! I will be back!

You drive up to the awning and a valet opens the gates for you to park. We had reservations. It was very crowded. I am told it's not typically that crowded. It was hard to hear it was so loud. Menu is large. Prices are higher. Be ready. I got the large chopped salad. It wasn't that large for $18. I changed out the dressing to ranch because I did not want the garlic salad dressing. Glad I did. The salad was ok. The salami was smokey it added to the veggies. But for the price it was small and disappointing. 2 people got the prime rib sandwich and it was pretty sloppy. It's better to eat with a knife and fork. I was told it was good. The sweet potato fries have cayenne pepper on them. The chopped salad with tofu was also disappointing. The tofu had a weird bbq type sauce. The server was nice and she was fine. The atmosphere is more high scale. Just disappointed in the taste of the food and portion to cost. Cool experience being on campus but you're paying for it.
