Due to a Yelp event hosted here, my friends and I visited Fire Rock for pizza, beer and bingo. The place is small and cozy with a fun staff and decent pizza. The highlight of the night was the weekly bingo with "never have I..." drink rounds OFTEN during bingo. Although the Bingo gods were not finding favor with me, we had a fun time. As far as the food, the pizza toppings and cheese were good, the crust was not bad but I tried three different pizzas and their was no consistency in the cooking. I tried to cut the pizza with a regular knife but gave up and ate it like it was made to be eaten... with my hands. The sausage mushroom was my favorite and by adding a little red pepper it gave it a nice flavor profile. If you visit expect to be surrounded by a hometown crowd that loves this place, a little bit of smoke (this is one of the few bars that allows smoking) and a friendly staff. read more

We were looking for a close place to grab lunch, found this on Yelp as the closest. Pulled in and debated weather to go in or try the next place (definitely a dive bar). Glad we decided to go in. Best burger and fresh cut fries I've had in years, help was friendly and attentive. Would have been 5 stars instead of 4 but it was a smoke friendly establishment so took off for that. read more

Fire Rock is a great neighborhood bar. Food is good and prices are reasonable. We visit this place at least once a week, but normally twice a week. Monday night Trivia and $.50 wings, Saturday night Karaoke with KJ Ed-EZ Karaoke. Love the bartenders!!! All staff is pleasant. read more

Firerock has a large menu with some great food. I went there on Wednesday for taco day and got a large burrito and nachos. The meal was big enough to share with my boyfriend. Their daily specials offer many different options. They also have great burgers, pizza and an excellent pork tenderloin sandwich. read more

Oh my god! The ribs! They're terrible. They needed at least a couple more hours before they were done. I don't think they actually used any dry rub... just slathered some cheap barbecue sauce on them. I could only stand to knaw on a bone's worth (not that they actually came apart bone by bone) before I gave up. When I gave them back to the waitress she just took them away. Didn't ask if something was wrong or if I wanted something else.. just took them and left. I'm guessing it must be something she's used to. They opened for the first time last night and a guy that was friends with the owner fought my brother and he banned my brother and not the other guy when the other guy started the bullshit. Love this place. Hole in the wall bar, cheap, awesome food and really nice people. Not much to look and is definitely in the "dive bar" end of the pool and it's awesome. Great specials, lots of events lined up and gets packed on Friday and Saturday nights. It's a small town restaurant. When I was there, there's a ton of regulars who must have got off work early since it was early afternoon and the group had a few tankers of beer. They were loud and it was difficult to have a conversation with my group. Service was okay, the water did not taste good at all. I would give it one star but the food was pretty good. If you know what you're walking into before you go, it's probably a great place. It was not a good place for me to meet my friends for my lunch break. I'll stick to Martin's side door deli for that. read more

1st time here place seemed small and there was not many people here, however food was good they had a special on Tacos Wednesday they were awesome!!! The tacos were huge and fresh, very filling don't underestimate these tacos they are big and soft tacos are even bigger like burrito sized... The price for the tacos were great very affordable... Worst meal I've had in a long time. Waited at least a half hour between our appetizers/salads and our entrees. People who came in after us got their food before we did. The babyback ribs were the toughest I've ever had. I gave the plate back to our waitress and she was kind enough to only charge me for my fries... of which I ate two. If anyone from the bar reads this.... when you don't have ribs that are ready to serve, just tell us. We can order something else. Also, when you're making homemade fries (and I really hope they were homemade otherwise you royally screwed them up) it's best to soak the potato sticks for a minimum of two hours (three or more won't hurt) in cold water. This helps remove the starch from the outer surface and that means you won't have a floppy pile of greazy potatoes. Instead, you'll have real french fries : ) Lastly, when you serve a customer a plate of food that they give back to the waitress and say they want nothing to do with, don't act like you're doing them a favor by "only" charging them for the fries they didn't eat either. That would have been the difference between me saying, "well, the cook had a bad night" and "well, I'm never going back there again". read more

This place is a total DIVE! It is the only bar I have ever been in that does not respect and support their local sports teams. Their sound system is set up to override the sound on the televisions whenever the jukebox is used. The result is that the wish of one person is more important then the preference of the masses. We went here planning to have dinner and enjoy the Notre Dame game and some drinks. The jukebox played through the entire first half. At half time, we left to find a more sport friendly locale to spend our money. This place sucks! read more
