The service was exceptional. It's a really nice place but I would emphasize that this is a local neighborhood restaurant so if you're expecting a chain restaurant you'll be disappointed. I had the 3-egg special with choice of bacon, sausage or links, potatoes and choice of toast or biscuit. For the price, I thought it was about in-line with a tourist place. Our server was attentive and professional; I think her name was Gabby with the pink hair. Good kid, ask for her to be your server as she knows what she's doing. Restaurant overlooks the pool which is nice and you might see some of the wildlife hanging out sunning. I would return here again when in the South Bend area not far off the highway. The whole property is newer and well cared. Clean restrooms too! I forgot to take pics.

One thing worth mentioning is that the menu they have online is different than the one they give you in the restaurant, things like the po boys are not on the menu there. Pretty much the best seafood in town. Bummer they took the crab truffle fries & lobster gnocchi off the menu though. Last time we went (a holiday), my SIL's fish was obviously undercooked & we waited 20 minutes past our reservation time. And a lot of the entrees are $20+ so the bill can add up pretty quickly. SERVICE Some of the best in town usually. Plenty of attention & quick to solve any issues or complaints. Never feel ignored. AMBIANCE Great vibe, simple/minimalistic decor, good bathrooms. I do highly suggest not going on a holiday though, they are extremely popular & tend to be fully reserved ahead of time. When you pay so much money, you really want to have a good experience, & it's just not the best time to go. Lovely place, but when it gets too busy & loud, it loses a lot of its appeal.

The chive cream cheese is the best and they will give you more if you ask for it. We tried the ribeye, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, grilled broccolini, caprese and Casesar salads, chocolate cake, and mocktails. We tried the au poivre and hollandaise sauces as well. We did hope that they would have more homemade steak sauce options. The food was mostly good but the caprese had some mealy tomatoes in it and the mushrooms seemed to be cooked in oil instead of butter, so that was not good. I took the chocolate cake home and it was ok but not quite what I thought it would be. It seemed to be more of a mousse cake than a traditional 7-layer cake. Just ok for me. They do give you chocolate lava beignets at the end and those were good. They also brought over a whole new bread basket that we did not ask for and then wasted the whole thing instead of packing it up with our food, so I did not like that. Don't be wasteful. Overall, it was a good experience and we would go back to try some other things.
