Wings taste like cardboard. One staff member was rude and let personal beliefs interfere with providing customer service by becoming belligerent through berating me and threatening to cause bodily harm. The bartender felt it necessary to refund my money at that point but still gave back a dollar less than promised. While a regular at the bar, I will note that I do not eat here any longer. The food that is not Wings, is largely bland and/or over-cooked. The wings are, not a stand out, they are breaded and usually soggy from the oil, with the only saving grace being the different sauces they have. That being said, the staff, especially the bar-tenders save this place. If you want to watch a game and have a couple drinks in good company, without the college crowd making you want to drive sharp implements into your eyes, I recommend Wings Etc. read more

Unfortunately Wings Etc. has went from 5 stars to hardly 1 stars.. the last two times my husband and I ate there, it was a bad enough experience to not want to back to what once was our favorite restaurant. We almost always do takeout, and it was a disaster. The boneless buffalo wings I ordered had no sauce on them.. not a single drop, unfortunately I did not notice this till I got home.. my husband ran back out to get sauce from the restaurant which was cold, and there was no refund or anything, which is fine, but a offer to at least take that off would have been nice. So we gave them a second chance.. this time we checked are wings in the parking lot to make sure they had sauce, they did. However when we got home (about a 5 min drive) the wings tasted absolutely horrible, we are not picky eaters by any means, but these wings had been sitting out for who knows how long, they were cold, rubber like and had a odd taste. We decided that was the last straw. Hopefully one day we will try again and it will be better, but for $35 each time we carry out to not have good food just isn't worth giving it another shot. read more

We ate here on a Sunday night around 8:30, and sat in the bar area. As a 12 year veteran server I was appalled by the lack of service our waitress/bartender provided us with. She was more interested in texting on her phone than she was about our meal. After taking our order she simply turned around and walked away. I actually had to say to her as she left our table again "the food Is good... just in case you were wondering!" She managed to tell us that she was giving last call, then proceeded to stack the chairs around us on the tables before offering us desert or clearing our plates. The food, however, was pretty good. We ordered the nachos, and a plate of wings. The only thing I would have changed is I would have tossed the wings in the sauce before putting them in the serving basket instead of dumping the sause over the wings after they were placed in the basket. I gave this restaurant two stars, and I wish I could have given them more... like I said the food was good, but I cannot justify a 3 star rating because of the service. I've been here several times and have always had great service and food. I recently tried the shrimp and was pleased. I usually get wings naked and I ask for the sauce on the side and for the fries to be crispier. I never had a bad experience. The mini corn dogs and pretzels are very good appetizers. read more

Perfect example of corporate disconnect and greed. $12.50 for the most bland and boring nachos - basically a few nacho chips with a bunch of iceberg lettuce chopped up on top - a couple of small cubes of chicken and a few olives and tomato pieces to add color, A very bland tasteless white sauce called cheese sauce at minimal proportion to top it off. chicken wings were good, but, and extra $.60 for additional little cup of ranch to go with chicken wings. Breezy can really make a visit enjoyable. Wings with bone-in and jerk rub is very enjoyable with a little asian kick.

A Great place for wings! I believe they have the best wings in Kalamazoo, the drums are huge and they have a nice verity of sauces. The atmosphere is solid with a TV at any angle to catch any game or match that might be playing. Regulars seem very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it as a good place to hangout if staying in town for the night and want to catch the game or if you're a wing nut who is looking for the best wings in Kalamazoo. Portions are good for the price, which works well for a family looking for a cheep night out. I find myself going to wings often, especially during football season. read more

Went to this place Sat (2/16). 1st time there, also the last time I will be stopping there. Just a shit show from the begining. Kinda busy.. not really room to park...ok, no big deal. Get inside, seat yourself...fine, although the parking lot was full the inside wasn't. My server was Avery. Absolute worse p.o.s. waitress I have had in years. YEARS!! She is trash. She was able to ruin everything by not even being at the table. Ordered pretzel bite w/beer cheese app. It came out in like 5 minutes. Very fast.... just not very hot, arguably barely warm. Didn't get to tell Avery, she didn't come back. So, those were pushed to the side... wasted $ there. Then our entrees came to the table. Oh no, not by Avery, by some other waitress. She dropped off our food and went to leave. My wife spoke up before she was too far away... we needed refills. Glasses had been empty for a little bit ( no Avery). That waitress for our refills. While she was getting them, i looked over my sandwich. I ordered the battered cod sandwich. Said to come with tartar sauce, fries, and 1 side. I was never asked about a side, (didn't even realize it should have came with one) and no tartar sauce. Just a plain dry cob fillet on a bun. Waitress #2 returns....'excuse ne, can I get some tartar sauce?', "sure" she says. Nope. She then went ti one of her tables, took an order, typed it in their little cpu, then disappeared off somewhere. I understand she wasn't my waitress...i also understand that isn't my fault, just apparently my problem. 10 minutes go by. Unnamed waitress #3 (yes, yet another waitress), was about 4 tables away, my wife got her attention, asked for tartar sauce and it finally made it to me. Just in time for the fish to be cold. I didn't eat it. Still no Avery throughout this. My wife is done eating at this point, and i was never served anything with a fan damn. That's when Avery showed back up. She nonchalantly leaves a card on the table and said " i was told to give you guys a free app card, was something wrong?" We're done now. At this point, what's the point? Barely warm pretzel bite and cheese - check Horrible service - check Shorted 1 side item - check Empty glasses waiting on refills - check Flaggin down and dealing with 3 different waitresses - check Worst experience at a place in a long long time. For a restaurant that serves wings, you need to fire your cook, I have tried the wings here and all three times they were overlooked. How come when I get wings from Wings Etc in Valpo they are good. I went into Wings Etc. tonight only to pick up a carry-out order. Should I note that I have been a server for 15 yrs, and presently work at a well-known bar and grill, so I feel like I surely have adequate experience in this area in order to report what my experience is...First of all, there was a sign on the outside of the door that said "taking applications" and thought to myself, wow this may be a good idea for a second part-time job during the week..decided that I would probably go up the next day to fill one out as I was not in the proper attire to be asking for an application (think sweatpants and sweatshirt), changed my mind quickly once I entered the bar. I should note that this all occurred at 8:30 pm (in most restaurant atmosphere, yes even a "bar and grill" this is still a time that would be considered appropriate to bring your children in for a "late" dinner). As I walked in the door, you could hear a very rowdy individual yelling from the bar, even though at that point, it was a little hard to understand through the slurs exactly what she was saying...it all became very clear once I entered the actual bar area. This female was extremely intoxicated and was yelling, as she was running back and forth the length of the bar, "(so and so) is a p***y"..implying one of the other bar patrons...to me that is not even appropriate at a later "bar hour" and would never think to let one of my customers do that in my restaurant/bar..just by looking at this female, you could tell that she was extremely intoxicated, dare I use the universal term, "wasted"!! I sure hope that she was not driving.. *Note* Bartenders said nothing, just laughed off her nonsense Onto the bartenders, to start one of the girls behind the bar, looked right at me and blantantly ignored me, finally after approx. 5-7 min, I was asked to be helped and replied, "I was just picking up a to-go order...**Note she was in the process of making 4 shots for one of her customers, he interrupts to tell her to add one more for again (so and so) and she obliges...the man it was ordered for says (rather loudly),"well you need to hurry up, because I gotta be home before 9, or my (insert obscenities) wife will be p****d off at me". In response to this comment, the bartender (making the shots turns and replies, and this is a direct quote),"You dont have to do shit!!!" Are you kidding me right now?!?!?! I would never speak to any patron (regular or not) like that. I did not have any interaction with the other girl that was behind the bar, but was just as disgusted as the shorts (yes, it was approx. 28 degrees outside) were short enough that her butt cheeks were literally, not figuratively hanging out the bottom of them, I think a bathing suit may have covered more... I could probably go on and on about the things that I saw and heard at that place tonight, but I will just end all this with the fact that needless to say, I will not be going back in there tomorrow to fill out an application, nor will I probably ever be in there as a patron ever again (there are often times that my parents, my children and I) will go down there for lunch when they come up to visit because it is approx less that 5 miles from our home!! It saddens me to think that all those people would sit by and listen to all that and not speak up, or that there was no manager around in order to keep the bar, employees, and patrons in line!!! read more

we went here on a saturday afternoon for the first time for a late lunch. The service was beyond slow. like 40 minutes for chicken wings. and the place was even close to being packed. When we finally did get our lunch the chicken wings were swimming in a greasy/sauce mixture. We also got an order of the loaded fries to share. there was barely any cheese or bacon on them. for $7 bucks I would expect a little more "loaded" with my fries. I have been going to this wings since it opened in 2008. My husband and I love it here. The atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable. After the owner, Tom Hiatt, passed away in a tragic car accent his wife Denise has not slowed down. She is still running the place and energetic as ever. Go in and say hi and she'll become your best friend, and you will become a regular like we did. The wings are delicious, along with the fried pickles (my favorite). You wont be disappointed here, the waitresses and bar tenders are very friendly and personable. Go in for a beer, wings, and some football and maybe indulge in some Keno like I do!! I ordered the wings, they were really overcooked and very dry. My wife ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with lettuce and sauce on top it came without sauce and lettuce. The bun was soaked in grease and the chicken was very overcooked. It seems like everything just sits in grease and they pull it out when they need it. So I ordered their 50 piece wings to go and chips and salsa to eat now. The waitress asks if I would like like bone or boneless. I tell her boneless ask about the sauces and how many can I get I thought all was kosher. A friend my husband and I sat there had a couple of beers then took off to head home. I live 45 mins. away from this place to find out my whole order was all bone! So I call them up to ask why this happened and to get a refund or to give my what I actually ordered. The Owner ":Denise" thought it would be fair to give me 25 boneless for the mishap due to both her employees stating that I said I wanted bone. WOW!!! I told her there where two other people with me who witnessed what I ordered and it is like you don't even care about a customer who just dropped $70.00 in your business. When I told her I would call corporate thinking I was just speaking to a manager not the owner. We ordered really simple stuff like fish and chips, mac & cheese, boneless wings...etc. There one piece of fish in the fish and chips and the mac & cheese tasted like flour in water. Our server was great! However, this location is far lacking in satisfaction where the food is concerned. The portions were smaller and they were really skimpy on the wing sauce. We usually go to the location on Westnedge, and we share an order of wings and a sandwich. Our sandwich tonight was just not tasty.
