9/20/24- We went to check out classics night for cheesesteaks yesterday. The line was sooo long but you could smell the aroma outside! Got there at 5:30p. The line kept getting longer, but it was moving slow. I ordered and paid at the register at 6:15. They told me it was an estimated 1 hour wait, so we walked to Big Apple to get a slice, and then to Verace for some gelato afterwards. Walked back to Wingen, they had already sold out, but everyone was waiting on their orders. I didn't get my food until 8pm. It was almost 2 hrs turnaround time, which I let slide because Wingen has my heart. I ordered a mushroom/vegetarian and it was super salty, but the flavors were good. It came with provolone and peppers. I wish the onions were caramelized or grilled longer. The cheese was my favorite part. I would have preferred white or portobello mushrooms over maitake, but it was good, I still enjoyed it. $17 for my sandwich. My husband and daughter got the classic as is. They loved it. The meat is wagyu beef. My son also got classic, but no onions and subbed with cheese wiz. He loved it! I saw JTM make it and he slathered on the wiz on the hoagie bottom, then the beef, then bathed the meat again in the cheese. He did not skimp! The classics were $18, cheese wiz is an extra $2. Eating the cheesesteaks made me forget about the 2.5 hr wait for a late dinner, but not sure I'd wait that long again next time. Their pizzas are still great, so are their bagels, egg sandwiches, pastries, especially the s'mores spiral croissants, I wish they'd bring that back again! Been here twice now and can't recommend it enough! Make sure you go early in the day though, as stuff tends to be sold out by the afternoon. All the sandwiches are excellent, as is the vibe inside. Service was very nice as well. Overall I've had a few of their sandwiches and all their bagels and everything was fantastic! Highly recommend stopping by! read more

My daughter & I are huge fans! We used to go once a week until life got too busy to do so. during that time we were always recognized and felt so welcomed and loved. The food was always so good & fresh. Never had anything that I didn't like. I had high hopes for this bakery, but our orders were a bit too salty. My daughter and I both ordered the ham and cheese croissant and she even pointed out it was too salty before I mentioned anything. My husband had the closed faced salmon bagel with a cheesy everything bagel. I had a small bite of that and it was also salty. My husband said he liked it though. Maybe I'll try something different the next time we stop by. read more

The service is fabulous, everyone is in a good mood (or at least putting on their game face for customers!). It was our first time here so we had questions and the staff were patient and answered everything without making us feel rushed. We settled on an Americano with mocha, caramel latte (light on the caramel), blueberry pancakes and avocado toast. The drinks were perfect. I don't like super sweet drinks and my Americano with mocha was just right. Hubby loved his latte - I took a sip and you could taste the real caramel; not a sugary syrup!! The pancakes were cooked to perfection, the blueberries popped in our mouth and the pancakes weren't too fluffy or thin. The edges had a tiny crisp to them. I mean, they couldn't have been any better. The avocado toast was fabulous. The bread is sourdough heaven, and the sliced avocado (way better than mashed), and the seasoning brought it all together. After eating at a local place, we decided to stop by this bakery that everyone seemed to come out of. Really good bakery! The Olive bread was awesome. I don't usually eat bread, but I couldn't stop eating this freshly baked Olive bread. Not sure if they had any seasonal butters to go along with their bread selection but I could see it pairing well with some great butters! My favorite was the Matcha cookie! I think it was a white chocolate drizzle on the top and made the combination go super well together. You can taste the matcha flavors but not too overwhelming. Cookie held up great and still moist and not too soft. Perfect! Forgot the name of the 3rd item I got but it was decent. Kind of reminded me of a fig newton. Black cherry and almond slice. Clean space with plenty of seating. Cute little place to meet a friend or have your cup of coffee solo with some nice treats. Service was great as well! They work super fast and they were all very nice. Will be back for sure! read more

Super cute bakery in Livermore for meeting up with friends/catching up! I personally like that they also have bagels and breakfast sandwiches in addition to coffee. Inside is super aesthetic but they also have a good amount of seating for meeting up with friends since they have an attached room. Parents seem to also bring kids here as well, so it's quite a bustling place! read more

We've eaten here many times but decided to post today. The keys to a great sandwich are bread first, then the stuff. Wingen bread is amazing! The hoagie bread for the Botto was super tasty and just the right amount of crunch. You can't really see the amount of meat, but there was a lot! The veggies were dressed perfectly. Their pastrami is really delicious as well. We always get bagels, the roasted tomato one is yummy!! All their loafs of bread that we've tried are delicious. read more

I got the yogurt and granola bowl and a cookie while hanging here for a couple hours. I was waiting for someone at a medical appointment and needed to work. This was the perfect place to hang. The yogurt bowl had fresh figs and was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was gone before I got to the table. The staff here and super friendly. Heard many great things about this place from friends and this has to be by far the best bread I have had!!! I first heard about this place after trying the restaurant range life in Livermore which is about a block away from this place. I remember ordering the bread and butter and it was to die for!!! I am very picky when it comes to my bread and this bread blew my mind away. I craved the bread ever since and after finding out that the bread was from a local bakery I had to buy more so that I could satisfy my cravings. I ordered the country loaf and it was so soft, moist and fresh! The bread was super big and was $10. They also have other breakfast items, bagels and other breads/pastries but will need to try next time. I recommend ordering ahead as they only make a certain quantity a day and can hold bread for you. There is also decent amount of seating for you if you want to sit down inside and some tables outside as well. I love love this place! I always get capuchino and it's so delicious. I also love their quiches. Crustless one is Gluten Free and it has seasonal veggies in it. I also tried this place for brunch, mimosa and sourdough English muffin with breakfast sausage was amazing! I wish I could buy sourdough English muffins from them just separate. I was just watching Localish and They were interviewing the couple Aimee & Bryan the owners of the bakery & they told this amazing story touched my heart and it made me cry but in the long run they are definitely Dedicated to the purpose of their business serving to the community it's phenomenal it's amazing like I said I have not been here yet but watching And listening to their story on Localish....and what they were doing for the community really touched my heart shout out to the owners of This extraordinary phenomenal bakery and it's not too far from my house.. gotta love it Super excited to take a field trip.. Wingen is located very close to where I work in Downtown Livermore. You order at the counter & they deliver it to your table. There's indoor & a shaded outdoor area w picnic benches to enjoy your meal. There's also a play area for kiddos indoors. I think they have the best bagels in town. (I hope they do a pumpkin one sometime!) Their open face veggie sandwich on a cheesy-everything bagel is my favorite thing they have! Yesterday I finally tried the infamous *patty melt* after my co-worker has raved about it for close to a year. In fact my party of 3 ALL ordered the patty melt. We all enjoyed it. Wingen is a gem of a bakery! First of all, their sourdough bread is top notch. I love buying a loaf and making avocado toast at home. Secondly, their coffee is amazing. They serve Four Barrel from SF and it's the best coffee I've had in Livermore. Their lattes are perfect (and no extra charge for oat milk!). Finally, their baked goods are exquisite. From the lemon cheesecake bar to the cinnamon roll, everything I've tried has been delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful - I always appreciate their recommendations. The space is bright and airy - a great spot to hang out with friends in downtown. Their avocado toast and lox bagel are shockingly expensive, but otherwise Wingen is absolutely perfect. :) read more

We went here for dinner and the quality of food is exceptional. We got baguette with smoked eggplant spread and it was perfect. The meatballs were also some of the best I've had and I almost always order the meatballs when they are on the menu. They were tender, light, and full of flavor. Meatballs are pretty technical to get right and these were solid. The pizzas were great too. Crust was crispy with airy crust good flavor. Toppings were fresh and had a good ratio in each bite. I wish this establishment longevity and success because some of livermore's food has been subpar but this place is a tier above. read more

It was pretty perfect - a nice herby flavor throughout and chunks of breast with a creamy base. I also ordered the semolina sourdough loaf which has a very nice textured and crust. read more

Wow!! What an amazing local bakery. We found this place after a race at Del Valle Park. After hitting the trails we went hard on the pastries and baked goods. Everything is so fresh and beautifully created. Highlights would be the Rhubarb Pop Tart, perfect crust with little zing of rhubarb offset by the beautiful frosting. The croissants are to die for and remind me of Paris with their flaky crusts. We tried several sandwiches and the standout was the Turkey Avocado. The bakery is as beautiful as the food with a working kitchen just off the main dining area. Excellent food, service and a very chill vibe that makes you want to hang out with the staff and shoot the breeze. A special shoutout to Ewan for checking on our table often and making sure we were well taken care. I don't get this kind of service at a fine dining restaurant, let alone a local bakery! Hire more Ewans and make me about a dozen more of those chocolate Kouign-amans. So damn good. read more

Since I dined-in so one of the staff brought the pastries out to my table. Decor & Ambience (5/5) Love the interior design of this bakery from the pastry case to the tables. The place is well lit and clean. I also like the additional flowers and plants throughout the bakery. Plain croissant (4/5) Flaky and buttery - It's exactly what you want for a croissant! It has a rich nuttiness and buttery notes. The croissant is proofed into the perfect dome-shape and is baked into a nice golden dark brown color. If you cut it cross section, you can see a clear distinction of layers of buttery goodness. This croissant is on the bready side and not as light and airy as I would prefer though. The price ($5) is a bit more expensive than a typical plain croissant. If you are dinning at the bakery, highly recommend to ask for it warmed up! French onion bagel with cream cheese (5/5) I will definitely come back just for this! Bagels taste so much better when freshly baked! The bagel is soft and has a nice chew to it. The cheese and caramelized onion topping are a great flavor combo and the melted cheese gives a nice crunch to the bagel when toasted. It's really crazy how much we love Wingen Bakery. It all started with Aimee's sourdough bread during the pandemic, of course. Then they added incredible, legit NY-style bagels. Then came the croissants, so crunchy outside and layers of airy, buttery flakes inside. OMG. (drool) I'm now addicted to their avocado toast, open-faced lox bagels, and seasonal wonders like French onion soup and fried artichoke panzanella! But then, something new comes along, and it's always awesome, too. Basically, everything here is made with love and you can taste it in every bite.
