The wings were bad, not as in taste but as in they must have used old wings. When the cooked meat starts to smell like ammonia (like old bad eggs or scallops) it's time to toss them. It is amazing to me the lack of value businesses put on training their staff in customer service. Customer service can make or break you as a business and one bad experience can turn a long time loyal client into someone who will tell everyone never to spend money with you again. This is one of those cases. I have been ordering WingZone since my college days back in Seattle (think early 2000s) and now that I am in the delivery zone in Alexandria. Last night was my last night ordering from WingZone. After waiting for over an hour for the food we ordered, we reached out to the restaurant to see what the status of our order was, after some confusion, we were told they were out of wings and they "didn't know what to say". As most people would do, I asked to speak with the manager to find out why we were having to reach out to them to find out that our food would not be delivered because they were out of wings. I was promptly put on hold without a word. Six hang ups later and having to call from multiple phones, I finally get someone to speak to me who tells me the manager is too busy to speak to me, as a business person I find this entire concept ridiculous, when your business is unable to supply the product people have spent money on the entire purpose of the manager is to speak to the customers and make it right. When I finally spoke to the manager he told me they were going to figure out how to make our order the priority as he knows we are loyal customers, at this point it's 10pm and 2 hours after we ordered, I told him we were no longer interested in the food but I wanted to know why we did not get a call as soon as they knew they could not fulfill their end of our transaction, I was promptly told our phone call was "taking too long". This entire situation could have easily been avoided with basic customer service, with a phone call as soon as there was a problem, with an apology, with the manager taking 2 minutes out of his time to do his job and make sure the customers are happy. WingZone, I highly recommend investing in some customer service and management training. read more

I've always experienced super-fast delivery times, unlike some other reviewers here, and I don't think they've ever gotten an order of mine wrong. I never write reviews but I noticed that this place has a lot of bad reviews so as a loyal customer I feel obligated to write one. Now I will say that I recently started ordering from them so perhaps something has changed and they stepped it up. Ive order from here once or twice every month since January and I have NEVER had a negative experience. I only order delivery and I usually order online via the website. The delivery isn't super fast but it hasn't been an issue either, the food has consistently gotten here hot and delicious. I always order the boneless wing basket but I'm really excited to try some other things. My favorite flavors are the garlic parm and honey q. Ive also had the cool ranch, lemon zinger, and thai chili and they are all very good. Super friendly Tyrelle called in to try the wings and I did. Boy, was I glad. Good meat on them, well cooked but still juicy, sauce was tasty, and service was good. They wings were out pretty fast and I felt the price was fair for the portion, quality, and service. I got a simple ten wings in buffalo sauce platter, which comes with a drink (20oz?) potatoes wedges, celery and blue cheese. My order came to about $12 with tax. I walked my order home since I live nearby. This customer was very pleased. This place became my favorite delivery order place when you need to quick and tasty food at late night. They do delivery till 11:45 pm. Price is very reasonable and I like the way they cook my wing well. My favorite is lemon zinger and garlic parmesan. They will give you plenty sauce without asking extra always. I ordered from here last weekend and it was just ok. I called to place an order and the guy on the phone was very efficient. I ordered the "Buddy Pack" which is a pretty good deal. You get 20 wings, bone in or boneless and two flavor choices, jumbo fries or jumbo coleslaw, and dipping sauce / celery for $18.99. The order was ready in 15 minutes and I picked it up. We got the garlic parm wings and the dry rub voodoo wings. The garlic parm wings were pretty good. The sauce had good flavor. The dry rub wings were bad. There were so many large chunks of seasoning I could have made something better at home. Both the coleslaw and the fries were good though. I was happy with my experience with Wing Zone. I ordered 4 different kinds + potato wedges for our Super Bowl party and called ahead to pick up. Last year for Super Bowl I ordered ahead from another wing place and when I got there to pick up I had to wait another 20 minutes and they got my order completely wrong. our office has been ordering from Wing Zone for the past 5 months, and we've always had excellent delivery service, and the wings are excellent. There are a lot of sauce choices, including some odd ones like Cinnamon Maple and BBQ Bacon Nirvana. All of the sauces are very good, and well coated on all the wings, with the right amount of sauce in the bottom. The wings also have a decent amount of meat, and the Skinny Dippers (boneless wings with only a dusting of breading) are consistently excellent. We have about 9 people order each time, and in all cases everyone has been incredibly happy with their food. The temperature is excellent, and the delivery arrives somewhat quickly. The fried pickles are great, with just a little bit of bite. Their fried mushrooms should be skipped, there is too much breading, and the mushrooms are somewhat mushy. The one time a salad was ordered it was good, but we prefer the wings. We haven't tried any of the burgers. read more

And this place filled the void the wings were great they had a 20 plus fries special and to my surprise I ate almost all of em the sauce was just the right amount and delivery was quick considering it was freezing outside still my food was hot and fresh. Wing Zone was started by two college students at University of Florida. They have the best wings, simply because you can order your wings how you want them. I prefer to order online (it's easy and there's less room for error) and then I go pick it up. You have the option to order from 15 or so different sauces. You can also order them Extra Well Done, and/or all legs/all wings . I hate wings where the skin isn't crispy, and that's never a problem here. They also have Nuclear Wings that are more than just, make you sweat hot, they taste good too. Their Onion Rings aren't bad either. They have other fried food such as Wedge Fries, Mozzarella sticks, Chicken Tenders, etc. Their Garlic Parmesan Hot Sauce has won awards. Unlike Cluck-U, Wing Zone wings are a little small. But, with limited selection of places to get wings in the area: Wing Zone is your benchmark. Just make sure to order Blue Cheese & Celery because like most wing places, it's extra. read more

Oh Wing Zone, you are so delicious. Just thinking about their wings is making me totally hungry. This is my go-to weeknight carryout/delivery place. If I'm feeling like being a fatty, sitting in front of the couch watching reruns of Newlyweds, and bathing in garlic parmesan sauce, this place is it. For the record, I only do delivery, because the location itself isn't in the most desirable or safe neighborhood. Granted, if I couldn't wait, I might consider a trip over, but for the moment I've only had experience with delivery. Delivery is always pretty fast, and the drivers are friendly. I'll usually order the garlic parmesan original wings with a side of sauce (I like them SUPER saucy, even though they come dripping), and some celery with blue cheese. Their bbq and hot sauces are also really tasty. If you're on the fence about ordering, do it! Let me just come out and say I've been a fan of this place for YEARS. I usually order in once a month as a treat via their website. My order is delivered in about 30-45 minutes. They are courteous, prompt and my food is always consistently delicious! I can only speak on the wings because I haven't ordered any burgers but the bone-in Honey Q wings are finger lickin' good! As a side I order the mac and cheese bites---tons of calories but totally worth it. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews but this place is pretty no frills. Service is always on point. The owner is disgrace to our COMMUNITY. He owns a restaurant and he thinks he can do whatever he wants there. One time i was ordering delivery and he was very rude on the phone. My delivery took very long time. I called the store back. He said on the phone why the f*** you are calling. I m like where is my food. It has been almost 1 hour 20 mins. He said you have to wait like other customers. I said it is taking too long and i have to leave home. I want to cancel the order. He said you cant. Just leave home, we ll leave the food at your door. Just moved to the area, got Wing Zone delivered for us and our movers. They were here promptly and the food was great! We had boneless wings, cheeseburgers and grilled chicken sandwich. The ranch fries were Delish and the garlic parm sauce is yum too!!! They even accommodated a special 'mushrooms on burger' and it was great. Their online menu for some reason doesn't have all the food (namely, Sliders, you can only get them by calling). Three times I've called to order the Sliders, and not once did they put the sauce on. This most recent time, I specifically asked the manager, and when I got the food and saw no sauce, I called back, and the manager assured me he double-checked and the sauce was on there. After finally convincing him I'm not blind, I asked him to send the driver back over with the sauce, and instead, 45 minutes later, they sent over a new order of Sliders... sauce was on the side, the burgers were cold and soggy, and I found several long hairs in the food.
