Terrible. Incompetent. This evening I ordered a garden salad with chicken tenders and a burger with fries to be delivered. The food arrived promptly, HOWEVER, my garden salad with chicken tenders was doused with the flaming hot sauce when my order was distinctly for honey mustard dressing and TAME sauce for the chicken. Immediately I called the store and advised the woman whom I spoke with that either this was some sick joke (if I requested 'tame' sauce it is because flaming spicy sauce does not agree with me) or if the kitchen staff was incompetent. While the woman was apologetic, it was a waste of my money and a complete loss of appetite, as well as a waste of time for the delivery driver that came all the way to delivery the terrible food. I have a strong suspicion the meal was foiled intentionally. This food is for the birds. read more

I get my wings delivered. I can get them any way I like. I used to get them "drums only" but have evolved. I also get them well done because I don't like my wings undercooked. There are like ten choices in sauces. I get the second hottest but the habanero level is just too hot. I order extra blue cheese and when it arrives at my door, it's still hot. They deliver with a judgement free smile. They also send me update emails and texts letting me know where they are in preparation and delivery. I've ordered the 1lb bacon cheeseburger and it's awesome but is a very very rare indulgence. I highly recommend Wing Zone. At least as good as BWW. But BWW doesn't deliver. So, good stuff. read more

I dont eat wings so i cant speak on that but i had their bacon cheeseburger. ... i would say it is on par with a cheeseburger you would find in a hospital cafeteria, maybe worse. Here's the deal -- Taste - 3 stars These are not going to be the best wings you've ever had. They are decent. Not great. Not even good. Just decent. (But I have to hand it to them on the #3 hot sauce though -- most places' so-called "hot" sauce doesn't even register on my taste buds, but Wing Zone's sauce is on fire! Love it!) Also, I recommend the original wings over the boneless ones (as each of the latter seemed to be encased in a small layer of fat or breading...I couldn't tell which...that was quite unappetizing.) Price - 4 stars It's good to find a quick, hot meal that won't break the bank. Some of the combos are a bit pricey (for a fast-ish food joint, that is) but you do get a lot of food though. Location - 5 stars Now, I haven't been to the physical location, so I can't speak to whether it's seedy or not. Rather this rating is based on the fact that a) Wing Zone delivers and b) even if you're outside the delivery area, you may still be able to get third-party delivery service via Seamlessweb (google it). Overall a good experience. So I was at a Traditional Latin Mass at St Rita's in the Del Ray neighborhood a couple of weeks back. By the second ablution, I was getting a bit hungry. So after Mass, I whip out my iPhone and place an order at the nearby Wing Zone. My order was for some boneless wings and mozzarella sticks. I walk over there and head in. The order was just about ready, so I called an Uber. That takes me home, and I eat my food. Good stuff all around. My flavors were the buffalo regular and the garlic buffalo. Both good. I've got to get that nuclear sauce one of these days. I'll give it a four star because it's exactly what I wanted. I reserve five stars for things that are above and beyond my reasonable expectations of a place humming along nicely. I would absolutely repeat. read more

The quality of wings was terrible. It was dry very dry cold and some of it looked like it was cooked multiple times. Specially for the price of wings they are charging the wings were terrible. I'm a huge fan of Wing Zone. Our office orders this place for delivery quite often and the food is amazing. I always get the boneless wings with honey BBQ and the Thai chili, and the potato wedges. Both are fantastic. They usually give me an extra wing or two as well which is always appreciated!! This is probably not the greatest wing restaurant ever, but it is quite good and I would recommend giving it a try if you're looking for some good wings in the Alexandria area. read more

If you purchase 12 or more wings and you request more than one flavor, be sure to request extra saucy wings or else you might get a batch thats a little dry. Wing zone food is really good... Fresh and tasty. I enjoy trying the flavors but my favorite is honey Q for my wings and sweet Samurai for my shirmp. They have special deals along with their great prices. Wing zone can be a bit addictive so be careful. read more

Ordered and food took around an hour to get here... that would have been fine... except they didn't include my meal. My husband and child's meal arrived perfectly fine and on time. When I reached out to both Grubhub and Wingzone about this they "couldn't do anything". Wing Zone wouldn't even give me a refund and tried asking if they could send another one for another cost of chicken and delivery fee, and that it would take an additional hour and a half. I had gone in about 3-3:30 yesterday Sunday on February 23rd, a woman young lady came behind the desk i was standing there waiting for my food but she might've thought i was planning ordering, picking up. A cook she had called to ask where is another woman the cook yelled very rudely to the young woman. My food was good but the lady in the back was very rude to the lady who had just gone in. Was looking forward to trying this menu since surveying the landscape for wings in the Crystal City area just outside DC. Wingzone delivered. Customer service was right there...everyone loved their wings (buffalo 3 pepper hot, Thai 2 peppers hot, and no heat Thai's....). We also had 2 burgers. WINGZONE DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT WHEN IT'S WRONG! A week ago I placed a very large order for boneless wings for a holiday party. I was very pleasantly surprised because they not only arrived early, but were hot and delicious. The order was accurate and I was ready to post a 5 star review on this site. They truly exceeded expectations during a very busy time for them I am sure. HOWEVER... I just placed an order that took well over an hour to arrive because the driver apparently took a wrong turn and he spent 30 minutes driving the totally wrong direction before he finally found his way. I live 2.2 miles from the store and it is an easy 5 min or less drive via the highway, one exit on and right back off. Of course the food arrived cold. I immediately wrote on the receipt (and told the driver) to have the owner call me. After waiting a while I contact Eat24 where I placed the order and they called the store. I asked for but did not receive a $5 discount. In addition, they forgot one item in the order (I paid for a "basket" which should have included fries but they were missing). To ad insult to injury, the owner would not even refund the difference! Lucky for me because I ordered from Eat24 and not the cheapskate owner directly, they were able to reverse the delivery charge and the tip (but could not otherwise discount the order without permission of WingZone). To Eat24: I recommend you drop WingZone until they act responsibly when they mess up. To the corp office of WingZone: Perhaps your Alexandria VA unit needs some "Undercover Boss" to see why their service is so inconsistent. To the owner of the Alexandria location: Be accountable! When you mess up a very small discount and apology goes a long way to prevent reviews like this. To future customers: Be aware that you have a 50/50 chance of getting an outstanding experience but if they mess up don't expect them to "make it right" by you. read more

The wings aren't bad but they are definitely not the best that I've ever tried. I ordered the 7pcs mild combo. Knowing what I know now I should have went with medium. The fried pickles are on the sweeter side (which they do give fair warning since it's in the name), so I wasn't a huge fan. I used to go to this Wing Zone location every week and order their 20 Boneless pack for $20. Since I was getting 20 wings, I would chose to get 4 different flavors for 5 wings. It costed about $3 extra, but no big deal. Then they changed it so you can no longer get different flavors. All 20 have to be the same flavor, no exceptions. Who wants 20 of the same flavor wings? My first experience was less than exciting. I probably won't order from here again. See below. Pros: - Online ordering is easy. - The delivery arrived within 35 minutes from ordering, and we live in Arlington. - The food was hot upon arrival. The Burgers: I'm expecting some amazing burgers for the price and the descriptions on the menu. We ordered a regular cheeseburger, as well as the mac and cheese burger. Both burgers were so bland, zero flavor. The mac and cheese burger legit just had 2 tiny triangles of fried mac and cheese on it. It was pathetic. The burger meet itself was not even remotely tasty, and it was an odd color -- literally almost gray meat. Seriously, gas stations serve better burgers (and cheaper). The fries and mozzarella sticks were pretty good though. HOWEVER, when I had my burger (the plain cheeseburger), I took my first bite only to find a LONG BLACK HAIR. Now, you may say, well are you sure it's not yours? Yes, I'm sure, I'm blonde and my significant other has short brown hair. Literally wanted to vomit as I pulled the long hair out of my mouth. Seriously? USE HAIR NETS! Needless to say, my burger was thrown out and I lost my appetite. Wings: The wings were piping hot and smothered in sauce, which was great. No complaints there. My significant other liked them, however mine were a little too over done for my taste. They weren't crunchy or soft, but tough and almost "plasticy". Definitely overcooked, and almost as if they were sitting for awhile and just reheated. While it wasn't the end of the world, I just was expecting better.. you know from a wing place. Also, I'm not one to do hot sauces, so I ordered the "tame" version of the buffalo sauce, and it just had an odd flavor. It was more garlicy and metallic tasting than anything. Could have just been bad judgement on my end. Over all, I'm pretty disappointed in my first try here. A very rude woman put us on hold, and then just decided that we would have to order more food in order for her to make the "long trip" even though we live in Alexandria, less than 3 miles away. I was so excited to move back into delivery range of this restaurant. I used to live close by and ordered from here all the time. However, the first time I got food delivered to my new place, the delivery guy complained that he had to drive so far for such a small order. Since the delivery zone and order minimum are what determines that, I was annoyed to get grief. On top of that, someone at the restaurant (probably the driver) decided to go ahead and augment the tip I left on the credit card receipt. Unfortunately for them, I save my receipts and check my credit card, so I fought the charge with my credit card company and was just refunded. Bottom line, I will never order from here again. Judging from the reviews, I feel like I might have gotten lucky but I have zero complaints about my first delivery order from this spot. All items delivered exactly as ordered and really yummy! Smokin Q original wings were bomb! Fresh, hot and still crispy! Burger was decent and never met a slice of Texas toast I didn't love...no complaints about food : ) Took a little longer to arrive than anticipated; about 45 min but not a deal breaker for me.
